They need to update this hotel. It may be clean in the room and a comfortable bed to sleep in, but it is old looking.

Our visit wasn't horrible - just not worth what we paid.
The price was inflated because the hotel was close to major event. We'd expect an increase but the price was more than double what we paid last year.
Double the cost, but lacking basic, customary amenities - no nightlight, no fan in the bathroom, the shower curtain didn't close completely, the toilet flush was LOUD.
The pillows were very fluffy - so much so that we woke with neckaches. And there were no options. The last time we stayed, there was a variety of pillows from soft to hard. Not this time.
The walls were thin enough that our neighbors woke us in the morning with their casual talk. Not yelling - just chatting. We heard everything.
We paid $20 for breakfast to be included and come it learn that we were restricted to the $7 breakfast choice (lost $6 in the bargain).
There was a $20 event option - which we didn't take but it bears mentioning. This included tickets to the event, a souvenir cup and $10 in food coupons.... Event tickets were free - why pay you $20 for them??
The hotel, while looking clean, had a funky, musty smell.
Our stay wasn't the stuff of horror movie - just not worth the money and not worth booking with you for next year.

Our Party had booked 3 rooms for the Kaboom Town 4th of July festivities. It was an excellent location (right across the street from the park.) The staff of the hotel was excellent. In regards to safety, they monitored everyone and were very visible in an effort to keep non guests from entering the premises. This is an older hotel and in desperate need of updates. For example: the pool is a standard rectangle, the refrigerators

Although the hotel staff was extremely nice, the hotel had a dingy appearance on the inside. The water pressure in my room was low. Upon entering the hotel, was attacked by a bird. Along the walkway, there are some small trees. Apparently, the bird once had a nest in the area. When you walk up the walkway, the bird flies at you; going from one side to the next. When I notified the front desk, they were aware. But they said that it was nothing that they could do. The wildlife organization had moved the nest to another location. However, the bird stayed in the area. Nothing can be done because the bird is protected. Interesting!
Also, the beds are not what I have been used to when staying at Holiday Inns. The mattresses were a cheap quality. It was rather hard and I could feel that coils. I don't think that I will be staying at this hotel again.

during my stay:
1) roaches in the bathroom two days in a row.
2) no parking because of a meeting going on.
3) goo, like bubble gum, in the carpet.
4) $2 for a coke at the bar? no value
5) NOISY! stomping from the room above practically yelling in the halls.
6) no complimentary breakfast (for this price?)
7) staff was friendly, but did not let me know of perks like manager happy hour, etc.
I won't be staying here again unless I've no other option.

The hotel itself was awesome. The only issue was the light switch near door controlled the television power. I had to leave the light on in order to watch TV. My stay was comfortable and I love the location.

I am in a hotel about 150 nights per year.
I have stayed at this hotel before - I will stay here again.
It is consistently clean, and consistently quiet.
I rank it as one of the top 10 properties i regularly stay at!

Was very disappointed when I tried to pay cash that my card was already charged because apparently there is no cash at this location. Other then that the stay was fine. Great bed and spacious rooms. Thought I was gonna get a nice goodie bag for being a rewards member but didn't :(

Lower standard than any other holiday inn I have stayed at. Really basic lobby, room, extras. Almost motel like in many areas. All looks old and run down and basic, low quality. Coffee cold in the run down lobby
Some positives though, such as location, friendly staff, reasonable value when I stayed, good sized room.
More like a 2* at best from my experience

On the first weekend of an 8 day business stay, I was lodged on the 4th floor of this hotel. Little did I realize that:
1. Smoking is allowed on this floor - I'm a non smoker
2. A large and noisy motorcycle gang was put on the same floor.
3. Not only did my room resonate to the gang's all night parties, but my room was infested with ants.
The staff was able to move me after the weekend, ironically after the motorcycle gang left town.
This left me short of temper and sleep. I can only say I'm now prepared to ask if all Holiday Inns are smoking establishments and if they'll be dropping me again in the middle of unruly guests.

I booked our first Big Win stay - Best Flexible with Breakfast rate which is one of the requirements for the current Big Win promotion. When we arrived we were greeted as Platinum members and were given a certificate for complimentary breakfast. I explained I booked the Best Flex rate with Breakfast so the front desk receptionist told me he would check with the manager to see what could be done. I was told that the complimentary breakfast was going to be discontinued and that the next time we came to the property to contact the manager and we would receive complimentary breakfast at that time. So as soon as the weather permits and the pool is open we will be back for another overnight power date stay. :

I had the pleasure of staying 4 weeks in this hotel and have returned 3 times since. The staff is very accommodating and always friendly. The restaurant prepares wonderful food and everything is fairly priced. The front desk staff and bar/restaurant staff all make a point to make you feel welcome and appreciated. Housekeeping was respectful of the do not disturb sign and accommodated my special requests.

1st room was not even cleaned. I believe someone was still in it when we walked in the door. The 2nd room had no pillow cases on the pillows and the bathtub had a handicap assist chair in it.

The hotel staff was great. The young lady at the front desk, Chay helped my wife with directions and the lady in the bar was great, Charmin. She has a great sense of humor. The hotel need a make over but the staff helps......

Per normal, the Holiday Inn staff makes business trips more enjoyable and stress free. Chay, front desk, confirmed that I had changed my wake up call to a different time than the day before. Shalay, Operation Manager, was pulling an extra shift in the restaurant / bar area, As always, friendly and greeting regulars by our names.
I continue to consider this Holiday Inn, my home away from home, while in Dallas for business or pleasure.

This hotel has several negative features:
1) The room décor is VERY dated and quality is quite poor. Bed [mattress] & bedding quality is abysmal.
2) The restaurant is very limited (in terms of open timing and food availability) and quality is not great at all.
3) The management arbitrarily imposes an 11am check out and does not honor IHG Rewards Club terms pertaining to late check outs.
4) The property itself is has no amenities and the common areas are not very attractive.
The staff is very pleasant and provides quality service. That is about the only high point for this location. The price point for this location is not inline with the quality level [or lack thereof] found within.

I had a great stay at this property. It was a little out dated but the staff makes you feel welcome. The manager's social was a great bonus and the bar attendee, Charmin was cheerful. When I asked about restaurants in the area she encouraged my husband and I to dine in the restaurant. The food was great. Kudo's to the Assistant G.M ( I forgot her name) but she helped me with directions.

I've stayed at this property 4-5 times and it's always a disaster. The front desk can almost never initially find my reservation, my IHG Platinum number or my Credit Card. This time was no different. They found my first day and couldn't locate my second day so they were about to tell me I had to change rooms or leave the hotel for my 2nd night when I forced the issued and showed them the 2nd confirmation number. They disappointingly relented and cleared me for two nights.
The food in the restaurant is enough to make a prisoner go on hunger strike and to make it worse they gouge you on the prices. Every time I'm there, my company is picking up the tab and still I can't stomach to eat such bad food at such prices. Additionally, unlike most Holiday Inn's or H.I. Express there is no complimentary breakfast.
Next, I was un-pleased to find an USA Today shoved under my door in the morning. Maybe I'm being to picky but as I walked down the corridor in the morning I saw that someone had placed a copy under everyone's door. I wish they would have saved the paper and not wasted it on all those copies. Many people don't read the newspaper and personally I would have to be pretty desperate to read USA Today. Next time, leave the complimentary copies in the lobby and 'save a tree'.
Lastly, this property's rooms are extremely dated. They look woodsy and floral and hardly what you'd expect at this price point. And a piece of advice, when you do finally renovate your hotel, you should put some outlets on lamps or desks, We are a digital culture (phone, computers, cameras) and we need some place power up.
p.s. set a clock in a room once and a while. They're always flashing 12:00.

We stayed one night in this hotel. Upon checking in I was recognized as a platinum member and given a voucher for a free value breakfast. When I told the front desk person that my reservation was already suppose to include breakfast she gave me another voucher for one free drink. The room was outdated and the bed was terrible. It had virtually no innerspring left and was not at all supportive. But the TV was updated and the room was clean. The room also had a mini refrig and microwave which is always nice. For breakfast we were only allowed to choose the value breakfast for a hot entree and it was okay, nothing special. We ordered egg beaters scrambled and they were not good. The location of the hotel was good and convenient to the tollway.
