Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Value We made last minute reservations and were able to get exactly what we requested. We were even able to check in 4 hours earlier! They stored our luggage after check out as we had a later flight. Breakfast was wonderful and more than we expected. One block from the metro made transportation super easy. Bathrooms were just OK, everything else was great in the room, so overall I will definitely stay here again. June 9, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bad stay We were very unhappy with our recent stay. The room was small and not comfortable for the high cost! When making reservations we were told that as members of IHG Rewards Club that breakfast would be at no cost. In the dinning room for breakfast we were told that only one meal would be at no cost and my wife would have to pay half price for her meal. We should have been told this when we registered rather than be made to feel embarrassed. June 9, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Washington DC - Arlington VA getwaway Not many DC Metro hotels offer free parking and free wifi, this one does. They also are close to Roslyn station on the Metro. Although it can be a bit loud from the air traffic, this is a comfortable hotel with a great location. They also have good service as well. June 5, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Great location Easy access to Metro. Front desk staff excellent. Room just big enough with comfortable beds & staff did great job with daily cleaning & restocking amenities. Only problem is poor internet connection. Must add that I had flowers shipped from Hawaii for my husband's grave in Arlington & staff accepted & kept them cool for me overnight. That shows caring for the guest!! Plan on staying there again for 3rd yr. in a row. June 4, 2014

The free parking made it a better deal. The room was very clean but small. The pool was nice and it even had a life guard which was hotels do not. Restaurant prices were high but other choices were nearby. Metro stop was only a two minute walk. June 2, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location, Good value PROS: Location -- just a block from Rosslyn Metro station; safe neighborhood; comfortable beds and pillows; decent restaurant if you do not want to leave the hotel; and FREE parking. CONS: Bathrooms are a bit outdated, but there's nothing disastrous that would lead me to advise someone in town on a business trip to stay elsewhere. OVERALL: For the value and location, it's pretty hard to beat this Holiday Inn. Some upgrades to the bathrooms and a little better quality breakfast buffet would make it absolutely incredible place to stay. If you are not a snob and just want a place to sleep, go ahead and book here. June 2, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent visit I had booked a block of rooms for family to stay over Mother's Day weekend for our Uncle's burial at Arlington Cemetery on May12, 2014. From the beginning contact with Sophie, everything went really well and everyone at the Holiday Inn was accommodating and friendly and I am speaking for all of us that stayed at the hotel. Rooms were clean and nice, we were fortunate to have a balcony that overlooked the Potomac which provided wonderful views. We did kind of take over the bar area on the top floor on Sunday night and I think we stressed the bartender, but then again it was a busy Mother's Day buffet going on. Having free parking was a bonus, since you can pay $15.00/day and there was not a problem locating an available parking spot at anytime. Thank you to all the staff for making sure all 30+ of our family were well cared for and we would certainly return again should we be down that way. June 2, 2014

She is extremely knowledgeable and is determined for find a solution to any reservation problem. Due to our very positive experience with Cynthia, we will continue to recommend this hotel to others--and it remains our hotel of choice in the WMA area. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff and property WE stayed 3 nights at this hotel and had a wonderful time. It is located one block from the Metro station which was a short ride in to DC. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was outstanding. Rather than the standard lobby breakfast, there was a huge buffet in the restaurant on the 17th floor with a great view of the river and Georgetown. The staff was very helpful in letting us add an extra night at the lasts minute. I highly recommend it. May 31, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Beware: Maids do not Knock 3 times during our stay the maids failed to knock and simply walked in. Once a member of my family was in the bathroom and was exposed. The front desk staff was informed and didn't seem to care. No one took a note nor did the promise to get back to us with a resolution. A simple "I'm so sorry" would suffice. On the first morning we woke to find that the room only had one towel, we called for another and it never showed up. Good thing we didn't wait. The location of this hotel is perfect, but that is as far as it goes. May 29, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by BED Before laying on the bed I always checked the pillow and bed and covers. we have find pillow with blood stin and hair the bed and there are black ink on the bed sheet. I am not sure why this happened. we ended up taking the pillow cover off, instead of going to front desk and ask for new one, The restaurant staffs was really nice, we enjoyed them a lot. the AM staffs .. they remember us front last years. again, we wished there was mircrowave or frig in the room . The staff on the 17th floor restaurant were wonderful, specially Abdul. We would recommend anyone staying in the area tio stay at the Holiday Inn. May 26, 2014

They also were helpful on the little extras like the best public transit to see local sites etc. They accommodated easily an individual business traveler, while serving many traveling student groups visiting monuments approaching Memorial day. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice but Hardly Perfect We stayed at this hotel as it was one of the closest ones to Georgetown, Roosevelt Island, and DC (metro) we could find as well as had free parking. However, it was noisy; planes all day and cars and motorbikes racing at night. We ate at the Vantage Point restaurant one night. The food and service was good but a tad pricey. The room and general cleanliness was not top drawer either. Hand prints on the stainless in the elevators were there when we arrived and were there when we left. Guests were joking about it so we weren't the only ones who noticed. However, you can't beat this place for ease of getting into DC and just leaving your car behind. We'd stay again. May 23, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Always a good stay here I have been staying at this hotel since 1992, and have never had a bad experience! The rooms are updated periodically, but are the same clean, comfortable rooms I am accustomed to enjoying when I am here. Many of the staff are the same people since my original stay also. This hotel has everything you could want on a business or pleasure stay, and is family friendly. My daughter loves the pool, and the ability to open the patio doors and get some fresh air- a quality missing in most other hotels in the area. Although I am charged more in the time period I stay here, this hotel is still very reasonable compared to other area hotels. Make your reservations in the daytime, and enjoy being close to everything to see and do in the Washington DC area! May 20, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad experience The lobby looked great, but the room hallways had not been cleaned in weeks. The worst experience was the dinning room.We had three experiences and they were all bad. The day we arrived I took the buffet. There were few choices, stale food and bad service. The breakfast the nex tmorning was free for the first person, the second person HAD TO PAY 1/2 PRICE. ?????? What is this all about. As we were the first ones there, even though the choices were few and the set up bad, it was barely passable. The next day was Mothers Day. and all I can say it was A TOTAL MESS. Bacon floating in grease, burnt coffee etc etc. etc. May 20, 2014

But the presence of the TV in the lobby, turned up loud 24/7, continues to frustrate me. If you're like me and you look to the lobby of a hotel for a quiet place to read, do a crossword, write a postcard, etc, be aware that you won't find such a one here. May 19, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good hotel, free parking, recommendable This hotel is situated in Arlington, but in the vicinity of the metro. Within 10 minutes you're in the middle of Washington. You can leave your car in the parking. The internet connection in the room is poor; in some rooms it's even not possible to get an internet connection. Brreakfast is free for IHG members, however staff there tries to let you sign for breakfast for your partner. Don't do that. Arrange this with the front desk. May 16, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Stay except for dirty hallway This is the second time I have stayed at this facility. The staff is very courteous and Abdul is a treasure upstairs at breakfast. He recognized my family immediately despite the many guests and a year's distance. My only comment for improvement would be the cleanliness, particularly in the hallways. During my entire stay of three days, the carpet in the hall was not vacuumed. This is not a good sign for guests and an easy fix for the hotel. It is an issue of paying attention to detail. I love the location, and especially the staff. I am constantly referring the hotel to other parents at Georgetown. Please take a moment to take care of the carpet in the common areas --- then you would have perfection! May 15, 2014
