Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfort, and Ease in time of need We were in need of a safe and comfortable place to stay when our granddaughter was in Scottish Rite Hospital for a long stay.... The hospital recommended this Hotel and explained they give a hospital rate. We booked for one night only to begin with in case it did not work out. We quickly reserved the room for 2 more nights. We were so pleasantly surprised with everything about this Holiday Inn - helpful, courteous staff, nice open entrance and lobby, nice room and really comfortable bed and a delicious breakfast bar. A wonderful way to start the day and know we have a place like this to come back to without worrying about things like this in our time of need and concern. Thank you to everyone at this Holiday and especially the hostess in the breakfast dining room. She remembered each morning how we liked our coffee and brought it to us - along with all the other little things she did with such grace and kindness while remaining efficient and professional. We will definitely tell our friends and family about your wonderful hotel. March 26, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Consider a different IHG or competitive hotel Where to begin? With more than 120 room nights at this particular Inn, I've gotten to know the hotel fairly well. For an older building, the hotel has been upgraded nicely and the room furnishings and décor are done well. There's ample parking and the location close to everything you could want within a city. The problem ultimately starts and ends with management. Under the old management the hotel ran very smoothly. Any issues were handled in a professional manner and problems were resolved. You'd think IHG Platinum Elite status would mean something to them, but not here. Unfortunately the lack of a GM for more than two months has the hotel suffering from no management syndrome and those left to run the place have little to no management skill (some, like the assistant manager with very little or no people skills#. Customer service has suffered greatly here. There is no other way to describe the breakfast buffet except atrocious! The same menu every morning is bad enough but the scrambled egg soup ie. runny eggs, is neither appetizing or healthy. Bacon and sausage links that are deep fried in the fryer rather than prepared traditionally on a grill. This leaves the bacon extra crispy and tasing and smelling a lot like last nights fried fish and chips. The buffet is always out of something. They seem to run out of silverware quite a bit and you have to ask for it most of the time. Complaining about the food quality, for over a month, falls on deaf ears. Save your money and your stomach and head to the nearest McDonalds. You'll get a much better breakfast for less an they usually say thank you. Inter-office communication between staff here seems to be almost non existent now. One hand doesn't know what the other is doing and they don't seem to care. Front desk clerks fail to complete tasks or take note of many things you inform them about. TV and internet are a problem here. TV and internet go out regularly 2-3 times a week, in several cases for more than a day. Maintenance seems to do a pretty good job of handling things, if and when they ever get the message. Housekeeping, while they do a good job of keeping the rooms clean have no regard for guest privacy what so ever. The "DO NOT DISTURB" tag in the door lock is simply an invitation to knock quickly, use their master key and walk right in, even after taping the tag in the lock to keep them from using their master key, which was subsequently ignored by even the housekeeping managers.. Addressing the staff and secondary management about anything seems to fall on deaf ears. In fact, any criticism rendered about anything is met with hostility rather than resolve and absolutely nothing is ever done to correct important issues now #like food quality and privacy#. Since the management change #or lack thereof) employee attitude has suffered greatly and you can you can read it in their demeanor. It's a shame. This was a nice hotel and it's in a good location. Hopefully they'll make some management changes soon that will bring the hotel back up to Holiday Inn standards one day. But unfortunately they've lost my respect and my business so I'll never know. Given the choice between this Holiday Inn and a mediocre room in a one star run down hotel... Consider the one star and save a few dollars. At least you won't be unpleasantly surprised. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Nasty bed- well used- not comfortable at all Sat at bar for 5 minutes, no one approached me. I went to my room and got a beer (in a coozie) and went back down to the bar to watch TV. I was planning to have a few more drinks while watching tv. The bar tender came up and asked: Is that a cola? I said no, it is a beer. She said; I can not allow you to drink it here. I said I was here waiting and no one came to wait on me so I went to my room and got a beer. She said: You can not drink it here, you have to leave. So I left and didn't go back for the few other drinks I was going to have. She could have said: I'm sorry, is this your first time here? Our policy does not allow me to let you drink that beer here, but if you would drink it up, I will gladly get you another..(or something to that effect). But she was very rude for a 1st time customer visit to that motel. She could have sold a few more drinks if she would have been more polite. Also as mentioned earlier - The bed was worn slap out. Never again will I stay at this motel. March 12, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Will be back! After having a small issue with first assigned room, the front desk immediately resolved this and put me in room 5__ which I found pleasing. It seemed very new, was very clean, a mini Keurig and nice work area. The front desk staff I found to be some of the best in the Perimeter area, as I have stayed at nearly all the hotels in this area in search of where I think I will be most comfortable as I travel frequently to the area. To date, this is one of my top picks. The staff certainly makes you feel warm and welcome and really appreciative of your stay there. Other hotels should take notice of this and I hope the management here realises the quality staff they have. See you all again very soon! March 12, 2015
