I have been around a bit, but this is the first time at a major hotel chain have I seen "ladys" walk right into the hotel, go up to whatever room they came to "visit" and then just walk out an hour later, in complete view of the staff. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Tried to be positive but... I recently stayed here for the Baltimore Marathon. Arriving later in the evening, I got the feeling we got the last room at the inn. I had to get up early to run and we were given a room on the ground floor near the elevators where you could hear everyone coming in at all times of night. I woke up once every hour, for the 5 hours of sleep that I got. In addition to room location, the room was not even fully clean when we arrived. There was a half pack of donuts and coffee on the dresser as well as other trash left by the previous days occupant. Additionally the shower was not cleaned and soap and other items were left there. I called the front desk to see if we could switch rooms and they told me there were no other rooms available. I understand, it's midnight and there's no other rooms. I'll make it through the night. After getting up early and running, the first thing I wanted to do was take a shower and then a nap. After coming back in the early afternoon hoping for a clean room, I was diappointed. The room was still in the shape as the previous night. I went to the front desk, let them know the situation again (because it's pretty clear the night staff did not communicate with the day staff). They told me they would call me at 4 PM to find a new room. 4 PM came and went, so did 5 PM. I called them again at 5:15 and they said they would send someone to the room with a moving cart which never materialized. Finally at 6 PM, I walked over to the front desk and got new keys myself. Luckily this was the last of my problems with the Holiday Inn. I'm all for being polite, and the hotel staff was very friendly when talking to them...but there is a level of incompetence there that I've never seen. If you are the "official hotel of the Baltimore Marathon" then you'd better be for a reason. This was not the case. Maybe I caught them on a bad weekend, but it's not the ideal weekend to lower the standards. October 24, 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Home away from home As usual we enjoyed our stay, disappointed by our early departure due to an unexpected illness. The only negative to our room was the bathroom, it needed to be updated. the walls were dirty and it looked like it could have been in the movie Psycho. The staff was very nice and helpful. And we look forward to another stay there! October 18, 2012

Booked this unit with advanced booking...did not get the rate Asked for upper tower ground floor (2) Had to ask twice for extra sheets...3 hrs apart. Even as a platinum I could not get what I wanted. Staff did however reduce the rate and offer free breakfast..(which was very good food). Did get the bedding on 2nd try. Staff very friendly. October 17, 2012

I realize it's in a big city, but we just paid $80 less the night before at HI in a smaller city, and was more updated and spacious. We did have a nice stay, in a safe area, just cost was too high. *Did not get greeted as a Priority Club member or recveive the little gift bag I saw another guest walk away with - ??? wonder why?? Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Family Weekend Getaway Booked two rooms for a family gathering from NJ and VA. Front staff very helpful as was bell captain to assist with luggage. Parking was adjacent and easy to retrieve additional articles with direct access to the hotel. Breakfast was very good and the wait staff very attentive and friendly. The pool, sauna and exercise area were very clean, had towels everywhere and an excellent Life Guard. Our two rooms were clean, large and had a nice refrigerator. We were pleased with the location - close to Inner Harbor activities. We plan to visit Baltimore again and anticipate we will try to book, again. October 12, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Nice My son had to have surgery at the University of Md. Center and we choose this hotel due to the 2 block walk to the hospital. Everyone was very nice, greeted us and asked if we needed anything. When checking out we informed the gentleman at the front desk that an extra night might be needed and he was very helpful and was truely concerned about the well being of our son. We will definately stay here again when we visit Baltimore. October 11, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Baltimore Inner Harbor great location, easily walk to all downtown destinations; baseball and football stadium, simple 1.5 mile walk to a great breakfast at the Blue Moon Cafe, Inner Harbor, Convenstion Center. Very disappointed that we were not recognized as Priority Club Members upon check-in. I have never been to a ICH property that has not done that. The price was high and parking was additional but it was the same as other properties in the area. The building it self was very nice and the room was nice; our TV did not work and the tech who came to the room corrected the issue, but he was unfriendly and non-communicative. I was disappointed in that unprofessional interaction. October 11, 2012
