Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by relaxing night Our recent stay at the Barrie Holiday INN and convention centre was quiet and relaxing. The King room was quite comfortable even if the fan on the heater seemed a bit loud. it was great to find that the room had a mini fridge as it was not listed in the amenities. February 2, 2016

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable Bed and Friendly check-in staff Stayed at Holiday Inn Barrie for 1 night, and the check-in process was very quick and efficient (less than 1 min). Check-in staff was also very friendly, and thanked myself for being an IHG Rewards Club member. Bed very comfortable, and the internet was also fast, so was able to get a lot of work done in the evening. Breakfast buffet was also excellent. There were a lot of choices from hot to cold items, and a varying selection of beverages. However, the servers weren't very attentive. They chatted amongst themselves, and never came by my table to see if I needed anything else. Overall a good stay. Would probably stay here again. January 30, 2016

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable bed, clean room, but snowy After a dreadful drive in white-out conditions, my co-workers and I were relieved to finally reach the hotel. Getting to the upper level parking lot was difficult though, since the snow had not been cleared (9:30pm). The 6 " of snow created a great challenge for parking and transport of bags / equipment. Fortunately, the check in staff called ahead to the bar / restaurant and let them know that 4 weary (and hungry) travelers were heading their way. It was now 9:50 with a last call / kitchen close time of 10PM. They held the kitchen open for us, albeit with a limited menu. We were thankful to have a dinner placed before us without having to trudge back out into the snowstorm. We were surprised to find that the bar had no more Molson Canadian. Being from Michigan, USA, we got a small chuckle out of the fact that in Barrie, Ontario we could be served Coors Light, but no Molson. The breakfast the next day was excellent and the breakfast staff was friendly and attentive. We were well prepared for our business meeting around the corner at 8AM. January 23, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent beds friendly staff Just a great stay. The rooms were a good size, beds were very comfortable. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly and we're always present. I did not get to use the pool or hot tub, but perhaps next time I will be able as this trip I was short on time. The pool area is always a nice addition to any hotel when one stays there. January 18, 2016
