Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Holiday Inn that punches well above its weight... I spent a very pleasurable 2 weeks at this hotel during a business trip. This has to be one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in! The rooms are of a very high standard. All of the staff from the greeter at the front door, the concierges, the front desk team, the restaurant (salt and pepper) team, the maids, the executive floor girls are all awesome! They are friendly and ask how they can help - ALL OF THE TIME! The hotel has a great breakfast buffet and the staff cope admirably during the peak times even when the hotel is completely full. The internet (wifi and Ethernet) and mobile phone signal is very good. The hotel is well situated for local restaurants and bus stops. The metro is a 20..25 minute stroll away. If I or any of my colleagues are coming back to this South West part of Beijing - this is the hotel that I will be recommending! June 14, 2013

Always greeted with a friendly smile, staff always helpful, always NO trouble. Feels like home-away-from-home. Concierge service VERY good, well managed. Always so helpful. Housekeeping doing a super job. Big thank you!! Travel +100 days a year, stay at many 5-star hotels; yet Holiday Inn Central Plaza in Beijing on of my favourite hotels!! Keep up the good work! Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by very bad experience arrived at 10, I was told no room for me even though I was booked and insured with bank card, saying someone occupied the room and won't check out (hilarious...)... I was asked to stay at a nearby hotel, but Holidayinn won't pay for me. (I thought this is common practice if you cannot accommodate a booked guest, you should pay for the night at other hotels. ) Finally, they found me a room, with 2 3-feet steel bed, at the same rate. Complaint was useless because they said this was the most they can do. The next day, they changed me to the room I booked. But at around 2pm, when I was writing email in the room, someone from the hotel just entered without knocking the door. He apologized but how could that happen? This is my worst experience with Holidayinn ever. May 24, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent hotel service Hotel bought me by giving me a birthday cake on my birthday. It was nice surprise to receive by the time i came back from outside. The biggest drawback of this place its location bit far away from all main shopping areas of Beijing (assuming you look for big malls and department stores). Good things about this hotel: 1. Nice spacious rooms; 2. Descent breakfast; 3. Nice swimming pool and descent gym; 4. Texas BBQ buffet dinner - descent Overall the quality for the price was way above the expectation.
