Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 A Great Find We were on our way to Maine from the Buffalo, NY area and had no definite destination as an overnight stop. We saw an advertisement in a travel brochure for the Holiday Inn at Boxborough. This being the approximate area where we wanted to call it a day of driving, we decided to give it a try. What a great experience; the room was top notch, the evening meal in the restaurant was excellent and the staff was very courteous and professional. When we find ourselves up that way again, we already know where we'll be putting in for a night or two. June 18, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Helpful staff but dated hotel I selected this hotel based on its location. Due to numerous conferences and sports tournaments, there were limited rooms available in the area. The hotel was dated, but the staff were accommodating. The biggest challenge was carrying all of our things to our room without an elevator. There is an entire section of the hotel that requires stairs to access the rooms. We were traveling with a baby and sports gear and had a lot to carry. Our room had a balcony which could be nice, but it overlooked a courtyard where there was a large group of people making noise around midnight. June 18, 2014

Just a beautiful experience to feel so welcome from the moment I checked in. Finding a hotel willing to allow dog shows are not always easy to find. They are the most professional group of individuals I've encountered in my travels. All were well groomed and appeared to be individuals I would trust with my family and my belongings. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Front Desk When we walked into the hotel, we barely puts our bags down when the front desk had our room info and keys all set for us. The only question was one or two room keys. Very courteous and efficient! Also, really liked the idea of having a variety of drinks and snacks available 24/7 at the front desk. Downside was you had to walk down to the front desk. But the variety of items made it worth the walk. May 6, 2014

Imagine my surprise when it became apparent that there was a national breed dog show / convention going on at this hotel during the same week as I booked a room for a business trip. There were hundreds of dogs - of a particularly yippy breed. The room across the hall from me had at least three constantly barking dogs. Contacting the front desk didn't help. I'm sure it was lucrative for this pet friendly hotel to host this event - but I wish that I had been informed ahead of time that this was dog takeover week. - I would have stayed somewhere else. I have been contacted by other Holiday Inn hotels ahead of arrival date when they had facility closures. (resurfacing the pool, for instance). I can also confirm previous comments that the water in the room was not hot. I won't plan on staying here again.. On a positive note - the restaurant is okay. April 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Overall experience We had a wonderful time at the Holiday Inn, Boxboro. Our son loved the pool and so did we. We felt like we were sitting outside not inside when we sat on the chairs outside our hotel room by the pool. What a wonderful setting. We also enjoyed the Easter Brunch the next day when our family joined us. There were 20 of us and everyone, without exception, raved about the wonderful food selections at the buffet. The only negative relative to our stay was that there were dogs staying in guest rooms and they barked in the hall several times during the night and woke us up. April 23, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not a good experience I don't want to beat a dead horse but there was two things that fell short of our expectations. Due to our flight being delayed we got at the hotel late. Come to find out that we weren't in the best location for food. The dining area was closed and there was nothing around so we ended up not eating that night. My room was ok but my work partner experience was not good because he had no hot water in the morning so he had to take a cold shower. We were there just for 9 hours due to us getting there late and us getting up early so it wasn't the best experiance. I wish this hotel could give my work partner a cash refund or something. I felt bad when he had to take a cold shower. He did call the front desk. April 16, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by My stay at Boxborough While the staff exceeded my expectations in professionalism and friendliness I was quite disappointed in the facility. The room was CLEAN but the bed and pillows were old and uncomfortable. The exercise facility had newer equipment but most of the equipment did not work properly. The recumbent bicycle's timer and exercise type did not work but the resistant setting did. The elliptical machine felt like it had a broken bearing and was totally unusable. While I can suffer through a night on a bad bed not being able to exercise properly in the morning is very disappointing. April 14, 2014
