Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Christmas Vacation We stayed here with my sons hockey team due to location of the rink we were traveling to and from for 3-4 days. The kids had a blast swimming and playing with their friends/teammates. The hotel staff was awesome in doing their best to fulfill the early check-in requests. I was unimpressed with the front desk attitude when we asked for more pool towels, she had a bad attitude and asked if we had wet ones in our room. The restaurant was ridiculously slow for dinner the night we ate there. Only 1 server and the manager were waiting on tables in a pretty much full restaurant. It took 30 minutes to get drinks and place our food order (3 adults & 9 children). The food was good, but the service was poor-need to plan ahead for a full hotel. January 4, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service. Would return in the future My family and I just visted the Boxborough Holiday Inn over the Christmas holiday and we are very happy with the accommodations. We had a very spacious suite; exceptionally clean, quiet and well appointed. The front desk staff could not have been nicer upon check-in and with any questions we had. The pool was a welcome treat for the kids and the property is located close to the highway but yet set back from the main road. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay. January 2, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service The Hotel provided a shuttle to take me to my interview 20 minutes away gratis. Most importantly, there was a timely reminder by Guest Service to make sure I don't miss shuttle service. My service interaction with the hotel staff during and after my stay had been refreshingly courteous and prompt. December 21, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Staff, Clean Room This hotel was convenient for my meeting. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My room was a bit dated and the tub was in need of repair, however it was immaculately cleaned. December 16, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable but bathroom a bit chilly Very nice and comfortable and good service. I especially like the large counter top in the bathroom. My only complaint is that there is no heat source in the bathroom so it gets a bit chilly when the door is closed and the heat from the room doesn't flow in. November 30, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by delicious food, comfortable bed, and helpful staff My room was upgraded to a suite at no extra charge. The food was some of the best I have had in a long time, both for lunch and dinner, and the prices were quite reasonable. The public areas of the hotel have great ambiance, and the bed was extremely comfortable, giving a good night's rest to one who has difficulty sleeping. I highly recommend this hotel. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Paper thin walls, dogs, poor food, fat pillows We stayed 3 nights and on our arrival they only had our reservation for 2 nights, this was quickly resolved and we were showed the way to the elevator then walk half a mile to our room. We went for dinner in the at the Minuteman Grill and it took 15 minutes to be seated, too long to give our order and way too long to get a lousy, over priced salad and soup (someone really needs to rethink that name). Absolutely the worst service and meal ever; and I was in the military so I know a lousy meal when it’s plopped in front of me. A complaint to the front desk generated a well rehearsed and thinly veiled response of “that’s unfair and unacceptable” but no offer to refund our money or make it right. The room was clean, that’s about the nicest thing I can say about it. The bed was comfortable enough once I got the sheets un-welded from under the mattress, but the pillows were so fat I couldn’t use them. Then we discovered that no insulation had been wasted in building the walls of this hotel, that is to say we could hear every door open and close, people walking down the hall and the dog across the hall that barked the entire time its master was away from the room. A complaint to the front desk about the dog resulted in little to nothing being done. The barking went on for 2 days. Won’t be back anytime soon. November 2, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great staff, very good service, clean and comfy! We enjoyed very much our stay here and would like to let you know everything went well. We love staying here and also The Holiday Inn hotels. October 27, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Customer Care! First, there were a couple avearage areas; visible wear on some things, common hotel hallway noise, food at event was okay. Room was clean and very comfy! The best part was the customer service. I was allowed to keep a cooler with cheesecakes in their freezer (that I made for an auction on the premesis) . When my blow dryer snap-crackled and broke (right when I was supposed to be heading down to my event), a very sweet maintenance man cut his break short to hunt down a new one for me and install it right away. The bartender at our event had to deal with some not-so-polite guests and she took it all in stride as insanely busy as she was and even had a sense of humor about it! As hotels go, it was clean and comfortable as many are, but the staff really made my stay outstanding! October 15, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Decent Stay Rooms do not have fans for bathrooms so guests must open windows and doors for proper ventilation. Overlooking the [indoor] pool makes for a dark room. An perimeter room would have been more bright. Room was comfortable although a refrigerator would have been a great amenity. The local apples were excellent, great that the bar was serving a local beer - however, poor bartender service for our experience. Fortunately wait staff made up for this. Upon booking via telephone in August, the individual on the phone was far from welcoming and barely helpful, apart from booking a room. Maybe a computer would be more friendly! October 13, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by r00m 264 needs new mattresses my bed was very lumpy and not very comfortable. The night we checked in, someone was smoking marijuana on our floor and the hallway reeked of it. Pretty funny, considering it was supposed to be a non smoking floor. Other than that, our stay was very pleasant! I was in town for my sons wedding, being held at the Wedgewood Pines Country Club. The food was very satisfactory in the restaurant. I would recommend this hotel to my friends. October 12, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lions Boxborough The room was comfortable and the hardwire internet allowed my wife to work while I taught the seminars I was there to do. The Atrium-area parties are a rwal mixed bag for us. I recognize the profit margin factor of such events, but some are barely noticeable except for the extended walk aroud to traverse the property. Others are just raucus, and not just in the Atrium. But if we have some friends in the room and the door open by the security latch, someone stops by to tell us we are noisy and need to close the door entirely. I would think the knocking would be louder than our conversations - especially as we are not loud partiers!.And there is a "deaf" ear turned away from the high-end gathering.... October 5, 2012
