The design of this hotel is the biggest issue. Our room was an interior atrium room, with a window on the corridor overlooking the public space. Unless we tightly closed the drapes, there was no privacy, so the room was always dark. I was odd never being able to look outside and see what the weather was like. If people are congregated in the atrium, their voices carry clearly to the rooms, which can make sleep difficult at night when people use the public spaces. The bathroom is ridiculously small and badly laid out. Parking is over-priced. The room was clean and the beds very comfortable, but overall, I would not stay here again.

Not a bad place to stay. Great staff. The place could use some maintenance.

I have stayed at this particular hotel once a year for the past 6 years. It is always nice, but this year I saw many improvements with service and friendliness of staff. On the other hand, they have offered a "medical rate" for those traveling for medical care, and I'm disappointed that the nightly rate has steadily gone up each year. Those seeking medical care already experience huge medical expenses while traveling and I wish they would keep the price more reasonable.

The hotel was very clean, as was our room. The shuttle service was a big help to us and the front desk staff were exceptionally courteous and pleasant

I attended a medical conference about a mile walk. Staff was very friendly and helpful with directions.
Would have liked better coffee in the room- that stuff was gross! The toilet handle to flush was awkward, too industrial!
Didn't use restaurant at all.
Otherwise, bed very comfortable, lots of pillows, room clean, great location.

Reason for staying there: visit to DFCI for a follow up to cancer treatment in 2009. We like the convenience of the Holiday in Brookline and the shuttle service.

I have not stayed at a Holiday Inn for about 25 years and was more than pleasantly surprised at the quality of the service and the facility. The room was clean and comfortable. They actually have a pool in which I could have done my laps, had I trusted the photo and brought my suit. The staff could not have been more helpful - from copying pages for a presentation to giving directions to putting a refrigerator in our room. All of them were extremely friendly. Didn't use the restaurant. Brookline has much to offer in the form of easy transportation, good restaurants, and nice walks in residential areas. I would gladly return to this hotel.
