Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by noise We had booked three rooms for three couples. My husband and I were unable to come to your hotel when the reservations were made. However, some of our friends occupied one of the rooms and there was so much noise in the halls , outside and in rooms above, that they had a very poor sleep. Other than that, the room was satisfactory. The other friends had another room, and their air conditioner made too much noise and interfered with their sleep. The beds were satisfactory and both rooms were clean. Since the primary reason for staying at the motel was to get a good night's sleep, it was disappointing for both couples. August 21, 2013

Restaurant not open for renovations. Due to distance from elevator did not have supper that evening as too tired. Toilet in bathroom ran all night; AC not working great and noisy. August 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable, Clean and Quiet After a long day of driving, it was nice to stop here for an over night stay before continuing home. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The front desk staff were very professional and eager to help in any way. The room was very nice and the beds extremely comfortable. Unfortunately the restaurant was undergoing renovations / upgrades which was disappointing as we were all tired and would have preffered to not go out and find a restaurant. The hotel is located just far enough from the busy mainstream to be vey quiet, but close enough to find a place to eat without driving too long. I would stay there again. August 18, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice room but too loud I was recently at this hotel in a loft king room. The room itself was very nice but it could have been a bit cleaner. We found long black hairs all over the 2 bathrooms and the jacuzzi. It was also pretty loud. We could hear everything guests in the next room were doing. The staff was very nice however and we had a beautiful view of the mountains. It was also a great value and I'd definitely stay there again. August 16, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and comfortable The hotel is convenient to get to and provided quick access to Canmore and to the highway. The room was clean and comfortable as was the outdoor hot tub. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing that didn't work was wifi access in our room though we could log on in the lobby. We would stay here again in the future. August 5, 2013

I stayed 5 nights at the hotel and I slept great each night on the most comfortable bed with the best pillows. I woke up fresh each morning ready to go sight seeing. The staff at the desk was very nice and helpful, and the employees that serviced the room were excellent. I feel lucky to have picked this hotel for my vacation. July 31, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good location just outside Banff National Park A good location with views across the valley to the mountains. The rooms were well equiped and comfortable. The staff at reception were well trained in the Holiday Inn check in routine. The dining room looked nothing like the photographs: it was dull and depressing. Of the 3 nights we stayed there we ate in the restaurant on the first night but did not repeat the experience. Nothing wrong with the food (rather expensive for what it was) and the waiter was charming. Only three other couples were eating despite the hotel being full. There are a lot of good restaurants in and around Canmore but none within walking distance. Every night there were two coaches staying and the drivers started their engines at 6.30 in the morning and reversing etc. with all the noise that entails. July 27, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Noises from other rooms We like Holiday Inns and Express facilities. We stayed at this location for three nights during the Calgary Stampede. Overall we like the facilities. The only small problems was with the TV noise from the 110V power outlet next door. We could also hear the water pipe noise through the bathroom when guests next door are showering. July 15, 2013

I would reccomend this property to anyone looking for a nice relaxing, comfortable stay. The in house laundry services were convenient. the hotel and restaurant staff were very polite and helpful. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by STRANDED IN CANMORE WAS STUCK HERE 2 DAYS LONGER THAN PLANNED DUE TO THE HEAVY FLOODING WHICH CLOSED THE HIGHWAY EXIT TO THE WEST. THE HOTEL 's RESTURANT WAS CLOSED MORE TIME THAN OPEN DURING THE 5 DAYS I WAS THERE WHICH MADE EATING DIFFICULT WITH SO MANY ROADS CLOSED. ROOM WAS NOT CLEANED FOR 3 DAYS.I WAS CHARGED MORE FOR THE EXTRA 2 DAYS I SPENT THAN THE ORIGINAL 3. STAFF WAS NICE BUT THINK THEY HAD THEIR HANDS TIED BY MANAGEMENT. July 2, 2013

Staff at the hotel were the nicest, friendliest, and helpful people you could find anywhere. My wife and I stayed for a total of four days on our way to and from Jasper while on vacation from Tennessee. One day while there we had car trouble [ a dead battery on rental car]. Ryan and another gentleman who's name I didn't catch came out with jumper cables and got the car started. At the time it was raining and both of them were soaked by the time they managed to get it started. Unbelievably helpful. There is nothing bad I could say about the Canmore Holiday Inn. The rooms we stayed in were comfortable, spotlessly clean and beautiful mountain views from the windows. The only meals we had there were breakfasts but the food and service were excellent. Canmore is kind of a long way from home but we would love to come back some time and if so feel that the Holiday Inn is the only place to consider staying. Thank you. June 21, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Has taken a downhill trend since last year's visit This visit was a huge letdown from last year's visit. While the staff, for the most part, were friendly, most of their communication skills, in English, were seriously limited. Upon arriving, I was acknowledged as a Priority Club member (so far, so good), but the supposed 10% discount coupon I was given had already expired. Arriving on the 7th, I don't expect to be insulted with a coupon that expired, and is no longer valid. Just leave out the coupon, and rewrite the 'welcome' letter to suggest the possibility of a late checkout and the bottle of water (standard at all locations . . . nothing special). About four hours after I had checked out, I realized that I had left an article of clothing behind, in my room. Upon calling the hotel to check for it's safe-keeping, and make arrangments for it to be returned, I was told that nothing was found. I asked them, to please check again, with housekeeping, and they called me back an hour later to say nothing had been found. I gave very specific direction about where to find the article of clothing, and asked the front desk to check again. Housekeeping is not very thorough if they cannot see a pair of black pants hanging in the bathroom. The young man at the front desk called me about thirty minutes after that and said, yes, he had found the pants. The fact that I had to make so many attempts to retrieve an article of clothing is very bad form for housekeeping (makes me suspect the overall standards for their housekeeping services), and while yes, I was in the wrong, leaving an article of clothing behind, I would not have expected the experience of arranging the return of this item to be met with so much denial from the hotel staff. The fact that housekeeping was so lacking in their skills to notice the item, and the three attempts made with the front desk to have someone even acknowledge, and offer to look for the item, is so lacking in customer service. At my time of checkout a woman was at the front desk questioning her statement/bill, so I have to believe that their standards of customer care and service are very secondary. There are too many places in Canmore to stay, so this will not be my choice on my annual visit next year. I'll miss the points for my stay, but will appreciate a more receptive and service-oriented lodging. The most positive thing about my visit was the town of Canmore itself, and the people I encountered on my visit . . . something which Holiday Inn had absolutely nothing to do with! June 14, 2013

So than I reserved this hotel one day before the arrival from Calgary. It is great for the convinience. We visited to Banff before we checked in. Only 15 minutes drive. The rooms were very clean, the food was above excellent and the bar tender helped me arrange the wedding cake table when it was discovered we did not have a plate or stand to display it on. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by restaurant I usually drive straight from Vancouver to canmore for delivery's further into Alberta( 10 -11 hours# stay overnight. one thing that attracted me was the price and of the 5 times I've been there only once was the restaurant open of which I had the salt and pepper wings,to die for # that I had another order of) . The disappointment is the 4 other times I've driven there with that craving, the restaurant has been closed for, as they call it,for maintenance. Apparently the restaurant is an independent,according to the front desk...that's a shame May 19, 2013

The staff was very friendly and the hotel was in awesome shape. We like the Holiday Inn chain and this hotel was exceptional. We also loved the hot tub which had the temperature cranked up. It was not a luke warm hot tub, but was smoking hot which is the way we like it! It was a great stay and we highly recommend this hotel! May 17, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by NOISY NEIGHBOURS. Staff did not address. A complaint made to desk at 1 a.m. was not adequately addressed by staff. NOISE CONTINUES...then JETTED TUB on at 2 AM!! Then HEADBOARD BANGING Noise at 3AM!!!! Next day we spoke to front desk staff who promised to address it with the customers. WE WERE BILLED FOR THAT NIGHT! Talked again to front desk staff about bill - promised that RYAN manager would call me to address concerns - that was May 5th -NO CALL as of May 16! NOT RECOMMENDED! NO Breakfast available at 8:45am when we arrived in Dining Room! Waited 20 minutes! May 16, 2013
