Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Wifi connection is pathetic for guests traveling on business I've stayed here several nights a year for the past four years. I've usually had good experiences overall including the wifi connection to do work in the afternoons and evenings. This time was different, and not for the better. The connection kept dropping and forcing me to log back in with the password. When you're working through a VPN, accessing various webpages, this is very frustrating. I called the front desk to let them know of the problem. They apologized and said they would look into it, but nothing. Problems continued and no call back explaining what the problem was. Icing on the cake was being startled out of my sleep at 4 in the morning to police banging on the next door, yelling for the guest to come out. I'm sure it woke up the entire fifth floor. This may have been outside the control of the hotel management but it still added to a less than satisfying stay. I notified the front desk at check out to let them know they need to fix their wifi connection. They apologized, sounding like they've heard this many times. Needless to say, I will be looking at other options for my future stays in Chico. February 1, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good location This Holiday Inn was clean and comfortable. My only complaint is small attention to details, such as the toilet seat wasn't the right fit for the bowl so it moves about. The hairdryer outlet was loose. Small items, but used daily. January 26, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Room and staff excellent--food another matter Overall, the hotel was excellent. The room was comfortable, although the decor was drab. But since I was sleeping for most of the stay, it wasn't a problem. It was clean and relatively attractive. It was also comfortable. The staff at the desk were very accommodating. The breakfast was abysmal, especially for the $10 price. It pretty much was reheated frozen food with no character or flavor. Potatoes dry and flavorless, fruit was merely melons, and watery with no flavor. I'm happy to pay for a good meal, but this meal was too expensive for the poor quality. January 19, 2016
