Anything we needed, they helped out. The room was clean and we had everything we needed. Food and drinks were good and hotel itself was gorgeous. I'd stay again for sure! November 20, 2014

The accommodations are always good, but the staff appeared to go out-of-their-way to provide service, whether it be a mal-functioning Kureig coffee dispenser or a forgotten item on the room service tray. Always was a very comfortable place to sleep and very convenient to the Columbia Mall and a straight shot to MU campus, Faurot Field, and the arena. Since then, the facility's make-over has brought improved speed to the check-in process, beautiful upgrades to the decor, and additional comfort to each and every room. Enjoyed meeting and talking to Amie in the executive lounge. She was very interesting to talk and watch while talking to all the different customers stopping by for a snack. We have called the house keeping manager twice since we left, and she tells us she will get back to us and to this day she has not called us in regards to our concerns. I believe the problems with the house keeping staff stem from the house keeping manager. Rooms were not made up and she never checked. When we called around 5 pm to have it made up, we were told it must have been because we had the "do not disturb" sign out. WE DID NOT! November 13, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Consistently Great We stay at this location once a month and have for a little over a year, it is always our first choice when we are staying in Columbia and we are disappointed if we forget to make the reservation early enough to get a room. The fitness center is great, way more equipment than a hotel usually has, nice pool, breakfast is good and it's quick & easy which is always important to us in the morning, the bar is also enjoyable especially if you want to watch sports. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Sub-par Dog-friendly hotel left me awake with barking. Front desk did move me the next day. Conference food was only so-so. When I returned home from this business travel and tried to attach the stay to my Priority points, I was told that "group rate stays" did not apply. With that in mind, I'll stay elsewhere for business travel in the future. November 8, 2014

I normally have the desk person acknowledge that i am a Platinum IHG member but this was the first time I actually felt that she genuinely appreciated my membership. I have to apologize that i do not have her last name but her name tag said Brittany (she seemed like she was a possibly a manager) If you could find a way to replicate this person, IHG would the only choice for travelers. It was nice to be able to stay in the same hotel as the convention. Thank you for extending a great room rate for us attendees and exhibitors. There was plenty of public space where we could gather. There was a great sports bar attached where we could watch the World Series game. The room was plenty big and very clean as well. Will definitely stay here when back in the Columbia area. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Restaurant manager was awful! Everything else amazing! We had a group of about 30 people coming for the evening prior to my Mother-in-law's funeral. The hotel stay and the staff was absolutely amazing! They made sure we had everything we needed. However, my family was first to arrive at the restaurant so we told the hostess we had about 25-30 people in our party and the last time we stayed 5 years ago for my father-in-laws funeral they seated us in an area next to the big screen tv. The hostess seated us there and while we were trying to arrange tables and chairs a man who claimed to be the manager came and was extremely upset we were setting in this spot he had reserved for a party of 20. He claimed they made the reservation the night before and they were "in house" guests. Our party of 30 was also "in house" guests and had he stopped ranting and raving over us sitting there he might have understood that. He said it didn't matter how many we had and we were to move immediately. He was arrogant, rude, and very disrespectful to our family. We moved and as more of our family arrived we tried to squeeze into an area for 16 people. After we were there for about an hour with family still arriving, they began taking apart the tables for the party of 20 who still hadn't arrived. Nobody bothered to say to us the group cancelled or offered the now open tables adequate to handle our group. We took the initiative to move ourselves. Our party probably spent over $600 at that restaurant and it was the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant! The manager of that restraurant should have apologized to our group and never should have treated us like he did. October 26, 2014

All hotels double there rates, HIE normal rates are average when they haven't been doubled. EXPO center is an excellent venue for a convention, however question the price they charge for usage including the meeting rooms. Was recognized as a Priority Club member. October 19, 2014

The rooms were clean, the gym and pool were nice too and next to each other so if you wanna go for a bike ride or run on the treadmill then jump in the pool it is very easy to do. October 16, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not my best experience but OK I stay at this location about two to three times a year for business in Columbia and because of its great location off I-70 for other trips. I usually get a great room, IHG recognition, and enjoy the stay. This time, however... I was not recognized as a Platinum Member at check in (even though I presented my card AND IHG Mastercard) and did not initially receive any Platinum benefits until I brought it up to the Manager an hour later. The room had no hooks to hang anything anywhere in the room, and no full length mirror. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom, which made for a foggy haze every time I got out of the shower and the bed was harder than usual, which did not fair well with my bad back. I mentioned this to the staff on the way out so we will see. On a good note, the sports bar and restaurant were a great experience, staff were overall pleasant, and the amenities were great and refreshing, esp. the pool. I am returning in a few weeks so I will update after that stay and am just hoping this was a hiccup of an experience this time. October 11, 2014
