Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Room I have stayed at this particular hotel each year for about five to six years. This is the first time I was underwhelmed. It appears the hallways need a facelift. I couldn't believe the amount of light bulbs missing. Also where it was handled very courteously, why was I given the wrong type of room in the first place? And then instead of being able to call the front desk about the mistake, I found that the phone did not work. July 11, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by One night stay June 23, 2014 We (family of four) stayed one night before flying out of LaGuardia the next morning. The hotel does not look like much from the outside but it's very nice on the inside. A short walk, about 10 minutes, to the train into the city. It's about a 30 minute ride into the city on the train. Entire staff was very good. Restaurant staff was great. Menu was a nice surprise. Food was good. Portions and price - very good. Also had breakfast the next morning which was equally good. Restaurant owner even came over and chatted for a bit. We used the park and fly option which, comparatively and all things considered, was a good choice. July 8, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and Convenient I recommend this hotel for anyone needing to fly out of LaGuardia airport early, watching a game at Citi Filed, or US Open Tennis. (Book early for better rate. I booked a few days before my stay, which was about 40% higher, even through discount sites). Room was clean. Bed was very conformable. Appreciated choice of pillow softness. Staff was friendly. Shuttle service leaves every 20 minutes, which is very convenient. Was pleased that the service left as scheduled and got to the airport in less than 10 minutes. June 22, 2014

They treated us like they knew us and when realized we were there with our family for a wedding, they were so overjoyed every moment they saw us. They all let us share our thousands of pictures with them and made sure we felt like we were home, not guests in a hotel. The Meenan/Musso wedding was so prepared thank you to the help of the staff! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Unexpected The most unexpected aspect to our four night stay was the restaurant and the overall hotel level of service. The food was wonderful. Who would have thought of ordering seafood in a Holiday Inn hotel restaurant...sorry Holiday Inn media people but we did lean not to make such generalizations. We later learned the history of the restaurant and link to a well known eatery in Brooklyn. We definitely got the feeling that the restaurant manager took pride in their food and level of service. He was fantastic and was always hovering around the restaurant making sure everyone was attended to. We had a large group of family ranging from Miami to San Francisco attend a family event in nearby Bayside and everyone was talking about this little gem of a hotel and restaurant so close to LaGuardia. The wireless (although the front desk said I was near a router) was not as fast as expected, since the TV did not have certain sports channels (NBS Sports) and I had to watch on my computer. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Location The hotel is about a 15 to 20 minute walk to Citi Field. Also about a 15 to 20 minute walk to a subway station to go to Manhatten. A nice bar and Italian restaurant. The karoke on Friday night in the bar was too loud for my taste. Other than that, the bar experience was great. The bartenders were very friendly. The food was very good. The front desk staff was very helpful with directions to the subway station and where to get off to see Broadway shows. Also provided information on where you can purchase reduced price show tickets. June 11, 2014

Check in was excellent with Rita ensuring that my room was ready early and I was satisfied. The room was clean, decent size and with a bathrobe and I was comfortable - even enjoying the view, watching Planck land. Food was very average, though, with dinner and breakfast of poor quality, greasy and poorly cooked/ presented, and far too large. How ever, I had not expected haute cuisine and this did not detract from my stay nor recommendation of the hotel. June 9, 2014

The Holiday Inn Laguardia was a great choice, and more than $200 cheaper than a similar hotel in Manhattan. It was easy to reach by car, and just a 5 minute walk to a subway to Grand Central Station and Times Square. There's nothing extraordinary about this hotel, but they cheerfully provided exactly what we needed. I will stay there again. May 28, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Services We just came off staying at a Crown Plaza property before arriving at this one. We found the daily cleaning services excellent, much better than CP. My wife usually stays in the room until noon before taking the "Do Not Disturb" sign off. We never had problems receiving service at this property. Other services were also excellent. The front desk was very helpful. We received promt and friendly service when taking the shuttle to the airport. Thank You. I will stay here again for sure. May 21, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Angelina In The Bar Overall experience was great, from shuttle bus pick up at LGA, to front desk check in and excellent food and service from the Bar .Angelina was very attentive and courteous, she made sure I was okay and touched base with me on a regular basis to make sure I was in need of nothing, if I owned my own business I would have certainly hire Angelina as my manager .She treated everyone equally and I even overheard other patrons saying how impressed they were with Angelina's service with a smile .I will definitely be back as I got great service all over. The shuttle bus operates every 20min and is very prompt with being on time. The comfort of the rooms are great & was clean & fresh. The staff need to be a little nicer for out of towners as we dont ALL have that 'New York' attitude/personality as most of us know about. Coming across rude is not pleasant. March 26, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service from front desk but especially bar service Shuttle pick up at LGA was good, waited about 15 minutes, return shuttle following morning at 5am was also good for my 7 am flight back to Toronto .Front desk check in was smooth and had recognition as a rewards member .The food at the bar was delicious but the best part of my stay was Angeline who works in the bar, she was extremely warm but yet still very professional. I have stayed at this location multiple times and she is one of the reasons why I keep on coming back .Upon arriving at the bar she always greets me with a friendly smile and calling me by name.
