TV remote di not work on arrival - should have been checked. V.helpful guy on reception sorted quickly though. Food very good and bar staff pleasant October 24, 2014

The room was of an excellent standard as was the bathroom and amenities. I enjoyed food snacks from the bar, super quality and delivered by really attentive staff. My one criticism would be that I had some very heavy sports equipment with me as well as my suitcase and there was no lift. I did struggle lifting this equipment up to the first floor but was asked twice by staff if I needed any help. October 22, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service and pleasant room... just skip the breakfast. I arrived at the hotel at 8pm and easily found a space. I was greeted warmly by the receptionist who had everything I needed ready and waiting for me. They identified that I had joined the IHG rewards scheme and I was given a complimentary WiFi code as well as a free chocolate bar which made me smile. My room was surprisingly large, attractive and spotlessly clean, and I was impressed by the size of the bed. There was also a seating area with a table, and a desk, which was more than I expected. The bed was pretty comfy but I could sometimes feel the springs digging into my side. There was a choice of pillows, which was great because I am fussy about pillows. The hotel was quiet with a relaxed atmosphere, and my room was also peaceful. I could hear someone else snoring for a few minutes, but otherwise the room was silent and I got a good night's sleep. Unfortunately breakfast was a disappointment. Having paid extra for it (and it wasn't cheap either), I was annoyed to find that most of the food from the hot buffet was barely warm, and most of the trays were nearly empty. I felt it was quite poor value for money, and would have expected better given that I arrived only halfway into the allotted breakfast time. Check-out was simply a case of handing over my room card. It couldn't have been easier and I can tell the hotel have worked to make check-in and check-out a seamless and stress-free experience. Overall I enjoyed my stay and was very impressed, and I would recommend the hotel. Just get your breakfast elsewhere. October 16, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent staff and excellent hotel really happy with the experience that the holiday inn Coventry south gave us on our wedding day, staff were really helpful and friendly and could not do enough for us on our day notably Scott and Rachel who looked after our day to the highest standard and went above and beyond to make our day very special. All the other staff were very good and working hard to help us make the day a happy one from Sam the wedding planner to the lady on reception we cannot thank them enough. rooms were great value for money and the breakfast choice was excellent and hats off to the chef, kitchen staff and waiting staff who made our meal really tasty and enjoyable and cannot thank them enough for this. My room had all the described facilities in excellent condition and was clean. Shower was fairly powerful and had a good temperature range. Check-out was fast with no surprises and my bill was accurate. I've stayed here multiple times and never had any issues. August 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Great Hotel and Staff I can recommend this group's hotel's especially, we stayed at one last week when we visited Warwick Castle and were very pleased to find a hotel which was spotlessly clean, the staff where extremely polite and best of all very friendly. We choose this as they were offering BB and EM the food prepared was very good, if we are in the area again or need accommodation elsewhere be it in the UK or abroad we would not hesitate to use this group of hotels. And do not forget to join IHG Rewards Club it's free but you earn points that can save you money. August 23, 2014

Thanks also to the management for allowing us to bring our dog who travel with us whenever possible. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Handy for a family stop-over Stayed here during a short break in Warwickshire and the hotel was well suited for our purposes having good sized rooms with two double beds for myself, wife and two children. We enjoyed the breakfast, which as kids eat free was good value. The hotel is a 10-15 minute drive from Warwick Castle and about the same to Coventry city centre. The hotel is quite remote and unimposing, but did the job. August 6, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Probably best in the area, but.... In it's day this IHG Hotel was probably the best in the area (when I think it was a Marriott Hotel & the Ryton car plant was open). Since then it has suffered a downturn, probably because the surrounding area is simply the A45 & not much else & Ryton has gone. Kenilworth is not too far away & worth a visit for the decent restaurants. However the general feel of the Hotel, nicely laid out & decent size rooms, is still better than similar IHG Hotels in the area & would recommend on this alone. July 26, 2014

However - the room was EXTREMELY hot and humid. to the extent that we had to spend most of the time we were awake with the door and all of the windows open. the food was passable, but cost us £60+ for two adults to eat - there is nothing to do in the area, which as it is just off the A45, isn't unexpected. the shower trickled, despite being described as a power shower. The bedroom was lovely and comfortable, bathroom was spotless, spacious and user friendly. Particularly impressed with the buffet breakfast which was hot and of good quality, especially the coffee and tea which so often in hotels has been standing too long and tepid! Ours was hot and great flavour. 10/10 for everything. July 9, 2014

Cracked basin in en suite of room 48 - Hygiene issue! No bath mat provided in bath/shower - the dimple bottom of the bath was not good enough to prevent slipping. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent all round accommodation We stayed one night bed and breakfast during the week and after several hours on the road we received a friendly welcome at reception and were delighted with the standard of room we were allocated. We had a very comfortable stay in pleasant surroundings with no traffic noise or other disturbance, and found the hotel very convenient for where we needed to be in Ryton on Dunsmore. Road works at the roundabout along the road did not impact on our stay other than we set off slightly earlier. Excellent breakfast, very friendly staff, ample car parking, I can't fault the hotel in any way on our experience and unreservedly recommend it. June 14, 2014

Hotel does not have a manager at the moment and you would not think it would need one as the staff are so hard working. Well done everyone who works at the hotel keep up the good work. May 22, 2014

Bed was very comfy and great value for money for a king size bed. Only one snaggle because we had the king size room we got a robe, water a chocolate bar but there was only one of each when there was two of us. Other than that lovely stay would reccomend.
