Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by What a waste of points!!!!! First when we checked in the reservation was not right. It did not say that it was a reward night. We were told we would be staying in an executive king suite. NOT!! There was a king bed, a chair and an ottoman. a desk and a couple night stands and a dresser. Usually any other hotel we stayed at the suites are two rooms. We were very disappointed with our room indeed. The bathroom was so small that you barely had room to move. The tub shower had no bath mat. The non slip stickers were very worn which made the tub extremely slippery. The people across the hall were quite noisey during the night. And to top things off we had to pay eleven dollars for parking. When I mentioned it to the girl she never even let on she heard me. Also I have worked in the same industry and if I did not ask a guest how their stay was well sir I will tell you my butt would be in my managers office. I will certainly not be wasting any more of my points staying at this hotel!!!! Also my membership status was NOT recognized!!!! November 28, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Holiday Inn So disappointed with this Holiday Inn. When we arrived, we had to wait almost 15 mins to check in while ....we'll call him "C" (the hotel will figure it out) entertained a young female ahead of us, who was waiting to see if her room was ready. Instead of waiting on us, he ignored us. It was really bizarre - he didn't even acknowledge that my 75 yr old mother was standing there. "D" came out of the back several times and was apparently too busy to help out. On his third look around, he finally whispered to "C" that maybe he could look after us. Room was not a "harbourview" - although they told us that is was. So don't pay any extra for that. Dated and old with wrinkles in the carpet and a slight musty smell. No queen beds - only doubles or a king (we had three people). Bar/restaurant closes at 10pm - and that was a Saturday night. Tried to call down for extra towels. Surprise!! the phone didn't work. Walked down and asked for the towels and mentioned to "D" that phone wasn't working - he clearly couldn't care. I'm sure the phone probably still isn't working as he wrote nothing down and when I mentioned it to the woman in the morning, there was no note about the phone. There was a party of some sort at the end of our hall - and I mean way at the other end - in the banquet hall - and we could here it clear, down in our room. Had an adjoining room - Avoid those. Doors are very thin and the women next door were having a good time. :-) Positive - it had a balcony and beds were comfy Will not stay at this hotel again. Poor customer service. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean I enjoyed thourgholy my stay at the Holiday Inn in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. The staff were very frien dly ,helpful and attentive both at the front desk and at there excellant restaurant facility. The continental breakfast is superb with a personal urn of excellant coffee brought to your table.They also serve you a ch oice of a glass of juice. My room was very clean and comfortable with a great flat screen tv. The bed ,pilloes and coverings were soooo,,, comfortable. I highly recommened a stay here! November 23, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable Stay Recently stayed for 4 nights and had a comfortable stay. Booked a room on the Executive floor (7th) so the room had a balcony and a nice view overlooking Halifax Harbour. Room was clean and comfortable but is a little dated. Only complaint was the location. The bridge into Halifax was closed at 7 pm on weekdays and all weekend so travelling into Halifax was a challenge. No fault of the hotel but be prepared for this detour if travelling in the immediate future. November 12, 2015
