There currently renovating the hotel and should have that much needed face lift once complete. Hopefully they'll upgrade the inside of the rooms too. Good, safe place to stay while in El Paso. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by First time at this property My first time at this hotel. I needed a dog friendly hotel near I10 on my way from CA to GA. This is obviously an older Holiday Inn, but the room was updated and appeared to be brand new. My room, 209, was immaculate and the bed was very, very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless, and the articulating shower head on an adjustable arm was an awesome touch. The lobby and other common areas were clean and functional, and there were some ongoing hotel renovations when I was there. No complaints. I ate supper at the lobby bar from the Mexican restaurant on the other side of the lobby...the meal was good, priced fairly, and the atmosphere was pleasant. The front desk staff were very friendly and efficient at check in. Same at check effort needed from me at either end. The outside of the hotel, and it's property are not pleasant at all. It is all asphalt, but my dog didn't mind...we just walked along an adjoining roadway and found some grass for him to relieve himself. The busy I10 freeway was about 100 feet from my second floor window, but I heard NOTHING from it!! This hotel is about 200 feet from entry and exits from I10. A Starbucks is in the adjacent parking lot...very convenient. The exterior is nothing to look at, but this area of El Paso is not a destination is all industrial, strip malls, hotels, freeway and views of Juarez....not a resort. But I was looking for a good hotel and a better price that was dog friendly, and this Holiday Inn is exactly that.... clean, functional, comfortable, inexpensive, dog friendly, staffed with good folks, convenient to I10. Everything I needed was there, even nighttime security guard patrolling the parking lot! If need be, I will definitely stay here again. August 2, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DISMAL! This is an old, outdated, dank, depressing and dismal hotel. It seems to be undergoing a remodel, but I didn't see much going on while I was there. I stay at Holiday Inn Expresses all the time for work, and find them to be clean, modern, and comfortable. This hotel was the polar opposite. My room had no windows to the outside - only a window looking out into the hallway. Obviously, I had to keep that curtain closed. DARK, DARK, DARK room. I was traveling alone, but if my husband had been along, he would have had to duck to avoid hitting his head on the bathroom ceiling - it's that low (plus it has 2 light fixtures that are suspended from it and are a hazard to tall people). The lighting in the bathroom was horrible, the furniture was old and outdated, and I felt depressed being there. I could not have done more than one night. The window in the hallway looked out onto the pool area, which is under demolition (looks like it was dug up a while ago and has just been sitting there). I am amazed that this hotel has the nerve to charge the prices they do - honestly, they should close the hotel to guests and remodel, or just demolish the whole thing. The location is very convenient to the airport, but there are other choices. ANY other hotel would most likely be an improvement. July 30, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by under remodeling construction I booked a concierge room, but when I arrived, no concierge room available due to remodel. Was given a one room "suite". All week long they had Jackhammers outside my window facing pool. This is an older hotel trying to improve itself, but not succeeding. The AC is noisy and bathroom dated. For instance all the sealant around the tub was peeling off. July 27, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by El Paso Airport Holiday Inn Lots of activity in the pool, restaurant and bar. Seems like family friendly as well as friendly to those who like night life. Great location to Bliss, Airport, and local restaurants and shopping. I wish the rooms were updated, better ventilation, cleaner rooms. The internet was poor and did not connect or stay connected for more than seconds my entire stay. July 23, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 find somewhere else As a Platinum Club member, this hotel is one of the worst I have stayed in as far for Customer Service. It was supposed to be a high end hotel. They had my reservation screwed up, then my daughters were staying in another room with another reservation and it was screwed up. The maid service would totally ignore the Do Not Disturb sign and knock on our door three or four times every morning. The hotel put charges on my credit card for no reason at all and I had to have them contact my bank to have them removed. There was no microwave or fridge in my room when I arrived. it took over 24 hours and me contacting the front desk 3 times to get a microwave. When we went to eat the free complimentary breakfast I had to get vouchers from the front desk and I was told that I could only have two vouchers per room even though I had 3 people staying in my room so that means one of us did not get to eat breakfast for free. One morning before giving us breakfast vouchers I was required to produce my Platinum membership card to prove I could get a complimentary breakfast. I see this is very unprofessional behavior by the staff. this hotel is definitely not worth the nightly price of what they charge. half of my stay was redemption points and I regret using those points for the stay. but at the sametime I am glad I did not have to pay for my entire stay and only had to pay the ridiculous price for one night of my stay. overpriced and underserved July 19, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Restaurant was poor/closed lobby bar Have been to this hotel multiple times in last 15 years. Restaurant was never good but has declined to "really poor". They did not have the correct ingredients for the dinner I ordered so they left off the parts and didn't tell the waitress. Also the food was well done when I asked for medium rare. The breakfast bar was really bad and did not change from day to day. The breakfast cook must also be the waiter because he disappeared for long periods. He was running around trying but this was bad. They had a nice lobby bar with TV but they closed it. No renovation was being worked on and the staff didn't give me a clear answer when I asked what happened. July 14, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Place is getting very run down Feels like they're milking this place until it shuts down. Very under staffed. The restaurant may be open or maybe not. Carpets dirty. Sliding door in the room wouldnt close properly. To bad, its a very convient location, but I guess its time to find another place to stay in El Paso. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Uncomfortable bed and lack of exhaust in the restroom The bathroom toilet was not functioning properly, one has to hold the handle down to ensure all water is flushed. There was no exhaust fan in restroom. The bed was uncomfortable. There were not enough towels provided. When asked for extra, staff asked that I bring my "dirties" to swap out.... June 25, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice location Close to airport with easy access. Fast and friendly check in. Too tired to leave the hotel for dinner so decided to eat at the hotel restaurant. Restaurant did not open on time, service was slow and the waitress was eating her dinner when I arrived. The steak I ordered was terrible, poor quality and extremely tough. I would stay at this hotel again, but would not eat at the restaurant. June 25, 2014

I didn't want to stand in that tub, so I just rinsed my hair and got out of there! Not very pleasant early morning surprise! There is a newer Holiday inn express across the freeway.
