Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff some aging issues in bathroom All in all as expected from HIE but there were a few maintenance/aging issues with the bathroom. This place is no better than 3.5 stars. This location had no breakfast buffet, instead they have an onsite "restaurant" of less than average quality. I prefer the serve-yourself buffet breakfast found in most of the HIE locations I frequent. It seems there is only one elevator and oddly, the handicapped room I was in, was not accessible to the handicapped because a disabled person would need to somehow navigate 3 steps to access the floor where the rooms are. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff and excellent breakfast The staff here are wonderful - friendly and helpful. the room is spacious, though the heating system is a bit loud. Breakfast was excellent and the wait staff at all meals were prompt and very friendly. The dinner menu is pretty limited, but if you're tired or the weather is bad and want to stay in, the food is ok. The exterior of the building could use some paint, but everything was clean inside. Overall, it was a good deal for the money. December 11, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not a good place for a Hockey Tournament We just got back from the Falmouth Hockey Tournament and I have to say we were really disappointed. Management has decided to not let the boys play knee hockey in the ballroom which is a real bummer. When teams come for the tournament part of the fun is being able to spend time together outside of the rink. The hotel was not willing to accommodate us at all. We even offered to put up a deposit. I know they have this policy in place because of a previous guest who disrespected the hotel in previous weeks but I really think they need to review each guest on a case by case by case basis. No one wants to come to the cape in November - hopefully we will be able to find another hotel that will accommodate our group. December 4, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by All 'round good The staff seemed to want to enforce a lot of "rules" on the 8yr old boys and their parents. It kinda drained a little fun out of it. We ordered pizzas and had them delivered to the lobby. Upon picking up and paying the delivery person, we were asked to not bring them into the pool room (understandably). We complied by settling outside the pool room in a common area. Soon after, the same person came down to us in that area and said we weren't allowed to consume our pizza there (an insult after having already settled in). Also, there was an un-used conf room that could have been fantastic for the kids to play in. It was locked and shackled shut because someone prior to us damaged property. Unfortunate.
