Had a great stay at this hotel whilst on a recent leisure beak. Check in was excellent, friendly efficient and hassle free. Room was good but on the small size as it was a triple and we also had to put up a travel cot. restaurant for breakfast and dinner was excellent - friendly attentive staff - they have great leisure facilities on site - would highly recommend

We needed to visit Lee-on-Solent and Portsmouth and this hotel was perfectly situated for both places. The hotel was easy to find - came down the M3 and then the Meon Valley - beautiful.
Staff were very polite, premises spotlessly clean, food excellent, pool perfect.
We had booked to visit the hotel a few weeks earlier but had to change the booking. This process was completed efficiently,without any problems, and no charge for the change.

Always receiving really good service, often with a smile and professionalism.
Good location to stay in and eat.
Restaurant food is good (and you may get free food sample in the hall).
Near to some good pubs, in Titchfield.

I stay at the hotel regularly and am always made to feel welcome. Any small issues that arise are dealt with promptly.
In particular, the breakfast service is very well run.

I did spent a week at this hotel and I couldn't complain on anything. Staff was always helpfull from check-in to check-out time. Breakfast was always good. It wasn't perhaps of the widest variety but it is well enough to enjoy it: always fresh, well presented and of good quality. Each time I had dinner I was very satisfied with its quality - it was as expected.
Room was very clean from day one and through all my stay. I actually enjoyed very much its location from the garden side.
Restaurant was clean and its staff very was very friendly and helpfull.
A car is must to have since the hotel is far away from the town however one should be aware of it while booking. On the other hand taxis are easily available.
Overall I enjoyed the time I spent in Holiday Inn Fareham - Solent.

Lovely welcome at reception with free glass of wine... very nice touch. Room spacious and well furnished. Swimming pool and spa was great. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. Free parking on site and easy to find. Restaurant a bit pricey. Very polite and helpful staff. Will definitely return. Lots of young children in restaurant due to proximity of Peppa Pig Land and in the corridor quite late at night, maybe families with young children need to be in one area of the bedrooms.

Bar was good but I did not like the cider they had on tap.

Fantastic hotel. The staff are very warm and welcoming.
I was a little disappointed that I could not use the HDMI connections on the TV, and instead forced to use the in-room entertainment options. A nearby competitor offers a panel to connect HMDI, laptop, and AV connections into the TV. This was fantastic.
There was a mention of Free WiFi, but when I tried to use it, I was confronted with a pay-wall.
The food, both in taste and variety was fantastic.
I'll certainly be visiting again.

The staff in all areas were exceptionally attentive efficient and friendly.
Bit disappointed about having to pay extra for internet connection, most hotels of this quality normally have for free.

The hotel was very well presented with ample parking, the staff were most helpful and nothing that we asked for was to much trouble. The room was very clean and spacious.
The bed was very comfortable and the linen was of a good standard.
The bathroom was spacious and very clean the only thing missing was a toilet brush.
There was a good time allotted to the meals times and the food was excellent and plentiful.
Would definitely stay again.

Pretty average Holiday Inn (but better ones not far away with bigger rooms). Food/beverage a bit expensive, but keeps out most of the low-rent clientele I suppose.

We were given a warm welcome, for our three night stay, on arrival by the Reception Staff.
I was given a chocolate bar (as I am a IHG member) but my husband wasn't which seemed rather mean as there was only the two of us and no biscuits were provided in the room!
We had dinner at the Hotel on our first night which was delicious, however this was let down by the inefficiency of the staff and the very messy restaurant. Taking of orders were much delayed and the clearing of tables appeared non existent. The floor was extremely messy with food too. Not a good impression.
The following morning at breakfast I spoke with the restaurant manager (who was not available on the previous night# and was informed that there was a staffing issue. As the service at breakfast that and the following morning was excellent along with the food, we decided that the first nights experience was a blip.
However, on the third night when one of our group went to the bar for a drink #the rest of us had complimentary wine, thank you# he was totally ignored. A wedding was taking place #only two bar staff there#, and it appeared that the wedding guests were more important than the Hotel residents! Half of our party of six didn't have seats as the wedding guests had taken over the lounge area. Following discussions with the manager we left the Hotel and ate at a local Pub instead. The manager had arranged complimentary drinks for us on our return to the hotel that evening as an apology #thank you for that 'N', good management).
The Hotel was well aware in advance that the wedding was taking place and also that it was fully booked with guests at the Hotel therefore why wasn't there more staff working and why wasn't a separate area made available for hotel only guests to relax and have a drink?
Would I return? Yes if I knew that the Staff have been efficiently trained and there are more of them at peak times. If there is a large function taking over the lounge area then another room is made available for residents.
We were told that many weddings and functions take place at this Hotel therefore why isn't there better management and planning for Hotel guests not involve in the events. With all the function rooms at this hotel it would probably be appreciated by many if you made one a Hotel residents lounge where they can relax!

We were called in advance with a suggestion we would relocate to an alternative hotel in Portsmouth due to a system error on their part. When we asked for the extra fuel cost to be covered, we were told our room would be available after all.
However, during our stay there were not one, but two wedding receptions. The communal areas were crammed full of people and noise and there was a long queue for breakfast. Once seated, the staff were inattentive and the debris from previous diners on the seating was left un-cleaned.
The room was comfortable, but facing the main road, so we were aware of the traffic noise.

Bedroom and bathroom need refurbishment. No light bulb in bathroom. Cold water tap needs rewashering. Tiles coming from wall. Water damage to wall in bedroom behind wash basin. Security stay on window not fixed. Picture fixed to wall behind TV. At breakfast had to ask for bowls, butter, friut juice, friut and croissants. Dirty plates not cleared from tables. Toaster broken

Friendly staff and good atmosphere made for a relaxing short stay on business. On the down side, I found the bed too hard and the value for money of the bar food was poor. Overall, though, a good location for my business and I would use again.

A very disappointing visit. Arrived for check in and rooms not ready we arrived 20 minutes after check in time!! Told we need to come back but I advised this was not suitable due to plans we had made.
After a long wait we were finally given rooms and the cleanliness was very poor. I would not expected to pull out a sofa bed which very small children are going to sleep on with raisins and THICK DUST underneath. I had to ask for fresh bedding for the sofa bed and pillow. The other room to our family booking had a crack in the sink which looked very old, breading ground for germs. I would not expect this at any hotel and especially a high chain like holiday inn.
Family of four only left with two bath towels.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Staff were all super friendly and helpful - esp to our daughter (who is 18mths). Hotel was clean, food in restaurant cheaper than area we live in though typical hotel prices and good choice. Kids under 12 ate free and good choice.... Overall, was excellent and would stay again. Finally, Emily who worked the front of house for the restaurant was amazing.. Super professional, calm and helpful.... A credit to the Holiday Inn!

Arrived tired after a long journey with my grown son and his partner to find the rooms I booked on line in January for my sisters wedding with double beds weren't available (single twins only) - this was the same for over guests turning up all day apparently the hotel was overbooked by 14 people -I booked my rooms on line in January 14 for a stay in August! My son was finally given his exec room with a double bed my deluxe room was far from deluxe the double bed was hard and there was no safe or fridge my room was suppose to be better than an exec room according to the holidayinn website. I was given a discount for the inconvenience caused but I'm sorry to say this service is completely unacceptable and the manager should have come out in person to apologise to everyone instead of leaving it to the 'polite efficient lady on reception' - Holidayinn needs to get these errors sorted out ASAP instead of fobbing guests off with compensation at the end of their stay and shuffling rooms around last minute !

The Holiday Inn was safe secure and comfortable
and as a single person on holiday it offered me all that
I wanted as a base.
The staff were attentive, pleasant and very professional.
The grounds, seating areas and leisure facilities were most welcome.

Stayed for three nights, was given a complimentary room upgrade, but was charged for it on the final bill, when this was pointed out the upgrade fee was then removed.
Was also charged for internet access, this is free to IHG Members, again removed from final bill after it was pointed out.
Had breakfast during my stay, all okay.
Had two dinners during my stay, a little expensive but the food was good and the staff excellent.
The only real criticism I would have was the bath, it was impossible to relax in, wrong shape, and what can only be described as shelves in it to stop you sitting back, it also had hand rails that got in the way, the shower was okay though.
Overall a good hotel with excellent staff, this was my second stay and I would definitely use it again.
