Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay I was in NY for only 24 hours but needed a place to stay the night for a business meeting the next afternoon. I was able to find the hotel and have reservation within minutes and 15 minutes later I arrived and checking in took all of 2 minutes. I arrived to a smile at the front desk. I put put bag in room and went to bar for dinner and night drink. The bartender was great with good customer service. I liked my stay so much that i booked at this same hotel the next week for business again. In all my travel it is rare to find a place you want to visit more than once. I am pretty happy I have this as my NY stop. March 26, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So comfortable bed and love the pillows choices! I love the pillow choices! I love it. Now I know where one I like when I goes to sleep! The bed is very comfortable and very warm too when it is below 8 degrees. Was upset about the restaurant was close at 9pm but the bar was open for foods but not all of them on the menu. That the only things I don't like if the waitress give you the menu and didn't have it for that night. Strange. February 1, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not the best Holiday Inn This hotel is acceptable for short stays. The property is nice enough, but the rooms along the street are loud from road traffic. There is no breakfast or even coffee in the lobby. The bathroom had a pedistal sink which makes placing your toiletries difficult. This may sound silly, but I had gotten used to being welcomed as a rewards member which didn't happen upon check in. January 21, 2013

This place has been and is still being renovated and the renovations are fabulous. You will enjoy numerous electrical outlets thoughout the room including double outlets in each lamp and in the table/desk. Beautiful furniture in each room, new sound proof windows, very clean rooms, nicely coordinated decorated rooms and walls. Staff that will go out off their way to accomodate, Most importantly -- the cost is far less than in other hotels for the accomodations, services and benefits received.. January 6, 2013

We often see upgrades, be it the new dining room, bar area or the rooms, they are alwayts looking out for comfort for the guest. Staff has always and continues to be very pleasant and wanting to our needs. We look forward to many moiré stays in the future. November 25, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by New Troubles there Cleanliness has been going down the last 6 months or so but this time my room was filthy--probably hadn't been cleaned. Luckily I pack germ wipes and cleaned the room myself (having arrived 1AM-not in the mood to move#. Hair had been left around the bathroom, smudges on the table tops, and 2 dirty-used but dry washcloths left on the shower curtain rack! I was concerned the sheets were not fresh because they had specks (but told myself it was probably just laundry lint so I could get a little rest#. Ugg. I'll recommend today and stay one more time #we are there once a month on business) but if it like this again, I am gone! November 24, 2012

Bathroom was gross with a number of different people's hair on the floor, makeup powder smudges on vanity, and soap wrappers around garbage can. Left for dinner with the request that it be recleaned only to have the towels changed but nothing above was improved. November 15, 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Customer Service I have stayed here a number times for personal travel and business travel. My most recent visit was for business travel as I brought 14 students with me to NYC. This was my best visit so far. What made it so was the excellent customer service which made my job in leading this group on this visit much easier. Two events underscored this observation. First, I arrived late that night and left instructions for handling my students who were to arrive later that evening. Not only did the staff follow my instructions, they communicated them efficiently from one shift to another. This was important because the students arrived much later than I expected. Second, the next morning one of my students misplaced his passport, and we were not able to locate it before we checked out. We notified the staff and about an hour later, I received a call from the front desk staff who advised me that they had found it. This was of great relief for the student (and me). We were able to return to the hotel and and the front desk staff quickly verified its location and provided it to the student. Unfortunately I didn't write the names of the staff or the cleaning woman who found it. However I did want to bring this to the attachment of Holiday Inn management. Needless to say I will be using this particular hotel in Fort Lee, NJ for all foreseeable trips to the NYC area whether for personal or business trips. October 28, 2012

It was very roomy and comfortable and clean. The in-room microwave and frig were very handy. Enjoyed the covenience of the lobby bar and the dining room. Food was very good and nicely presented. The front desk staff was very helpful and accomodating. The location was very convenient for crossing the George Washington Bridge into Manhattan, The hotel was a great value! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Why I stay here when I'm in New York The staff here is the biggest asset to this property. Everyone cares that you have a great stay. They do the best that they can to accomidate you and make you feel at home. They have recently completed a major renovation and as a result I enjoy relaxing at the end of the day in the Bar/ Lounge area. I can read, do paperwork, eat, or sit and watch TV at my leasure and enjoy the easy apmosphere. There is a sence of comfort I get being here. The hotel offers access to NYC transit. The quality for the price, in my mind is EXCELLENT. Unlike the Express properties they have a full service breakfast. I enjoy the fresh fruit and oatmeal in the morning. They also have a waffle maker and other assorted hot items as well as cold cereal. I have never been disappointed when I have stayed at this property. As of this writing I am up to 40 stays here this year. October 24, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Stay was so-so The room appeared to have been recently renovated, the pillows were terrible. The building was older and room temperature comfort was difficult to achieve. The young man at the front desk was moderately friendly but seemed much more interested in whatever he was watching on his phone. If you cannot find anywhere else to stay this is fine. The only problem we had was that we booked on line and then the price increased when I checked in. I look forward to my trips tpo NYC because I know that when I head to the hotel that night I will be treated like I was coming home from being away. The staff is very friendly and helpfull from the front desk down to cleaning staff. It is not uncommon to have anyone from management stop to ask you how your stay is going or if there is anything they can do to improve your stay. In my opinoin, for the price you are paying, the service is without measure. The hotel has a well maintained outdoor pool. They have been continually making improvements to the property to inhance your stay, without inconvieniancing the guests. The food is well prepaired and the service like the rest of the staff is great. You can choose to either dine in the remodeled lobby lounge or the bright dinning room. Breakfast is served in the same dinning room with the sun coming in through the spacious front windows in such a way that you feel like you are eating in your breakfast nook without having to worry about cleaning the mess. If you like a nice wine with dinner you will not be disipointed. For a special treat i recomend a pitcher of Sangria. It's made fresh and is very tasty. You'll be tempted to eat the fruit. Give in to your temtation, you wont be disipointed. Booking an event, or rooms for a group, no worries there either. They have a wonderful co-ordinator that will help you with all of your needs. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, convenient and comfortable... what more could you ask??? Well maybe a change to extend restaurant hours, but overall a great value for any NYC area traveler. If you're driving, it is super easy to get to and from NYC, and they have shuttle serveice to midtown Manhattan and even to the Yankee games ( Go METS !!!) The proximity to the George Washington Bridge and major NJ highways makes for ease of accesibility, but there was no traffic noise problem. Definitely a new favorite for me ! September 15, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not bad...surprisingly better than expected Although there is a pungent odor on the second floor, the room was clean and sizable for the area. We ate in the restaurant and it was mediocre at best, but for the price and the fact we were just looking to eat and head to bed--it was fine. We'd stay here again and would recommend it to our family members. I hate NY, but if you have to do it to connect at the Airport--this is the place. Go BoSox! : ) September 10, 2012
