Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad Night The room was large and clean and the location was central to downtown Fresno. Unfortunately on the night I was there the air conditioning was not working and it was extremely warm in the room. This should have been disclosed to me prior to check in. When I was unable to get the thermostat to work and called the front desk, I was told there was no air conditioning in any of the rooms. The clerk offered to send up a fan but it never arrived. In addition, the wireless internet was not working during my stay. The internet was a disappointment but the lack of air conditioning made for a long, somewhat sleepless night. February 27, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Could be better I would have given this hotel better ratings if it wasn't for some minor inconveniences. The wi-fi broke down over the weekend when I stayed. The restaurant food was somewhat overpriced for what you get. With Fresno located in the center of California's central valley farmlands, they could use some of the local fresh ingredients. The HVAC system broke down which made the rooms unbearably hot and stuffy. Finally, the hotel is located in an area that I don't find safe, especially with a casino nearby. Otherwise, the staff was pleasant and as helpful as they could be. February 26, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by HOT MESS Upon check in I was given a room that someone was already in. I opened the door to the room to find a lady and her belongings and quickly returned to the front desk. Acted like surprised this could happen only to learn next day it happened 5 times that night. Gave me another room. Room was 73 degrees so I tried to change. Hard to see the temp on thermostat so tried to turn on hall entry light. Burned out. Used my phone to read it. Didn't work. After a night of little sleep due to hot room I packed my stuff and left it by the door. Informed the front desk if air not fixed please move my stuff to bell hop and I would find another hotel. Left my phone number and said to contact me if I needed to move. Nothing until I returned at 10:30 pm. Went to room expecting cool room. Now 78 degrees. Went to front desk and told whole hotel is without air and wont be fixed till noon tomorrow. Same exact lady I said I thought you were to call me and she just said sorry I didn't do that. brought me a fan but not a huge help. Another night of little sleep. I went to the front desk next morning and said I was upset. She asked if 1000 points would make me not be upset. I said I'm calling IHG. She then asked if I wanted the room to be comped and I said I think you should which she then did. Better but I'm still disappointed by the hotel and the horrible communication that I dealt with. Then I find out my stay doesn't count towards point because it was now a non qualifying stay. NICE! Hot Under the Collar February 18, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not A Good Experience This was one of the worst hotel experience that I've had. I travel weekly for work and currently have Diamond for Hilton, Platinum for Marriott and almost platinum for IHG and this was an awful experience. It took 45 minutes of waiting for check-in. The hotel had a very distinct Holiday Inn Express smell that was not very comfortable. The rooms were too hot and the air conditioning was broken. The sink stop was broken and would take a long time to drain and just not good. Housekeeping did a horrible job just mess everywhere and moved my stuff so much that I wonder if they used any of my makeup - etc. I went down for breakfast and my order was not taken for 30+ minutes. It wasn't that crowded. Finally after my order was taken - I ordered simply eggs and sausage. Took at least another 20 minutes and finally i had to get up and leave without breakfast because I have to get to work. I will not be coming back to this hotel. IHG is one of my least favorite brands to stay at. And also, there was no recognition of my status. Not a big deal, but I'm used to going to hotel chains where just Gold there's great recognition and free breakfast or something nice. This was not that great. February 17, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by overpriced stains on carpet. hair in tub. .couldn't get ac to come on. smoke detector battery died and it woke me at 3:30 am. . kept beeping every few minutes. No rest after that.. December 6, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Surprised this property hasn't lost it's charter. Although the staff was kind this property's deficiencies do not make for a comfortable stay. Lobby feels clean and welcoming but the buck stopped there for me. The mechanical systems in the building are ancient and don't function properly or adequately. It was incredibly warm in the room and there was no way to make it right. I could not sleep comfortably. Being told to "open the balcony door" so that you can find some comfort really isn't acceptable. I couldn't rest comfortably with a door unsecured in the first place but the truck/train noise outside makes that option an impossible one. Lots of room for improvement here. November 24, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by No Thrill Deal Made our reservation through the hotel. Once we arrived and went to our room it was dirty, carpet filthy air conditioner was broken. We were changed to another room with a balcony which upon arrival they said they didn't have. The air in this room didn't work as well then we were told it was central. We had no heat. This hotel has no extras to offer. It was to be newly remodeled, no micro wave, fridge no extras of any kind. Had to request a fridge for meds. November 21, 2013
