Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Just spend the extra money and stay in Breck! We chose this hotel to try and save a little money from the hotels in Breckenridge. Next time, we'll make sure to just spend a little more and stay in a nicer hotel. This hotel was gross! The first room we were put in was awful. The window opened up to a brick wall, no light, just wall. The TV didn't work, and the toilet bubbled up anytime you flushed it. When we called and asked to be changed, the guy was shocked that we were put in "THAT room?". We were moved to a new room that smelled like a high school gym locker room, but at least we could see daylight and the TV worked. Bathroom was still pretty grimy, but since we were only staying one night, we just dealt with it. Overall, not a great experience. I would say "you get what you pay for", but I don't think we even got that. March 19, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Can't fix Wifi These days Wifi is critical to hotel choice -- especially if you have Skype calls or other deadlines to meet after a day in the mountains. Usually Holiday Inns have good, free Wifi. When I stayed at this hotel, the Wifi and internet went down at 6pm and was still not fixed by 9am the next morning. Would the management have left electricity or heating unfixed for more than 12h? March 11, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel customer service is awful My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights for a ski trip. The hotel itself is nice and clean. I was pretty dissapointed in the customer service of the hotel. We reserved the pay early and get breakfast included. The included breakfast was just a $20 voucher for each day. Most items on the breakfast menu were over $10 so it was difficult for that to cover the entire cost of a breakfast for 2 people. Also, the service was very slow. There was only one waiter for the entire restaurant. The 2nd night the internet password was changed without any notification. My wife had to go down to the front desk before we could get the new code. The third night the internet in the hotel was down for the entire night. We ended up driving to a Starbucks for my wife to use internet and to turn in her grad school homework. Also, On the third night I attempted to order room service. I spent 20 min on hold before I was disconnected. I tried calling the front desk and manager and no one answered. We ended up getting a pizza delivered from a local pizza place. It was a nice hotel with a great location, but as a gold member I was pretty dissapointed. March 11, 2013

We made a quick reservation from our cell phone and, when we got to the hotel, were greeted and taken care of by Chelsea at the front desk. She was working under extremely high pressure because of the onslaught of guests due to the road closure, but was friendly and very efficient with handling our check in. Great job, Chelsea!!! Unfortunately, we had some car trouble so our weekend didn't turn out as planned, but the place was close to everything and still reasonable. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Marked improvement Having stayed at this hotel several times over the years I was pleasantly suprised when I walked into the foyer this year. I remarkable transformation. The materials for the refurbishment were strong, stylish and quality. The room was a delight also, with new bathroom fittings and a redecorated room but keeping the familar prints on the walls. Only one comment on the room refurb was the lack of wardrobe door furniture. Breakfast service needs organising a bit better you have to wait too long for it to arrive. The sports bar needs a bit more atmosphere. March 6, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not up to Holiday Inn standards Room heater was broken and took 2 hours to move us to a different room. Next room had a broken lamp. Hot tub was not even close to hot...never got about 95 degrees during our 2 night stay. Highlights were the breakfasts: great food & good service. Convenient location. They seem to have spent a lot of money making the outside look nice & new. But the inside is lacking. Will never stay here again. March 4, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Air would not cool down enough for us at night 2 things we thought could have been better. 1 our room was to warm at night. The ac would not cool the room down. Seemed like it was off for the winter. We stayed in another Holday Inn and theirs worked fine. 2.wish you had breakfast. I understand you are attached to a restaurant and want to support that but 10 bucks for a simple breakfast was a little steep and the service there was really slow. Took way to long to get food. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic Hotel and Best Location!! The hotel is in a perfect location, 5 Miles from COPPER, 10 miles from BRECK and 12 miles from KEYSTONE. Bus stop IN the parking lot!! The housekeepers work very hard and are pleasent. The front desk agents were not only thoughtful, helpful, personible, and welcoming but they are professional. My room was quiet as a mouse, as well as the hallway. Room smelled clean, fresh and comforting. February 24, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Florida frequent visitor I stay at HIE when I visit the midwest and this one was not on the level I am used too. 1 elevator was broken, the other very slow. Staff was not readily available at the front desk. No complimentary breakfast in the morning like all other HIE and the noise level from other guests all night was unsatisfactory. The room was nice. The price was higher than most but i was told because of the ski resorts that are so close by. I most likely will stay at one of the Frisco family owned hotels next year. February 15, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by so-so experience Elevator to 6th floor broken-had to use stairs Guest across the hall way had barking dog (we were made to sign a statement that we would have no dogs in our room. We broght dogs, but left them in the car with blankets, etc. partiers at the hottub, bad language, lots of alcohol and trash left behind, not a good example to our kids. No continental breakfast.
