We had a few nice surprises when we arrived. We were given free wi-fi, which most of the downtown hotels do not have. We were given complimentary champagne to take up to our room, and we were asked if we would like a complimentary refrigerator put in our room for our stay!
We enjoyed our stay very much.

I was willing to pay more than I normally do for a hotel because we were visiting for a special occasion, but I don't feel like the rooms lived up to the price. Parking was also an issue. I do have to say the service at the Aladdin was excellent! Probably won't stay there again.

We were treated curtly when we stopped in at the reservation desk just to say we were in town (we were 1/2 before check-in time). Our room wasn't ready so we left our phone number. 3 hours later we still weren't called, so we checked back in at the desk. They were having staffing problems, and we had to wait another hour before we were shown to a small, crowded room with a view of the HVAC system. It was clean. The breakfast staff were friendly and terrific - the best part of the stay.

This is the 2nd time I have stayed at the Aladdin Hotel and will return next year. I arrived close to 10pm following a 13 hour work day and 3 hour drive. I was greeted by Valet with a smile and welcome, unloading my luggage and escorting me into the registration desk. Again I was greeted with smiles, quick professional check in and a glass of champagne was handed to me to take to my room - My bags and I were escorted to the room by another very friendly/professional employee along with some great tips of resturants to visit. From the minute I arrived, the stress of my day began to melt away due to the exceptionl staff and accomadations of the Aladdin.

Booking from the holiday inn website seemed easy and simple but the default booking option "book early and save" was not worth the trouble. Reservations become locked and unchangeable without even providing a discounted rate, service over the phone was a hassle. Management did allow us to leave early and even refunded the last night (smokers in the next room).

If you like art deco this is your place. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant was very good and fully staffed. The room and bath were on the small size along with the bar. If you are over 6 foot, watch your head in the hallways. This is obviously a conversion from something into a Holiday Inn. Nearly 14 floors with three elevators! It was perfiect for my two night stay.

Location was close to Power and Light and Sprint Center. Went for a concert. Staff was friendly and pointed out a good place to eat. Room was adequate. Bathroom was small for todays standards but there was plenty of room to get ready. No complaints.

My family and I stayed at the hotel and noticed boogers on the night stands near our bed. The one bed was facing t.v. while the other bed was facing the other bed making it impossible to watch t.v. unless you are on the other bed. The directory had boogers in it as well. In the middle of the night at 0300 there was a domestic violent situation in the room next to us and lasted a whole hour. We were never compensated nor appologized too. It woke my kids up and scared them half to death then they had a dance competition and had to be up at 0600. I asked for a late check out and the front desk said we had to be out by 1100 am due to weddings. I'm sorry, but I'm a customer too and I feel I should get the same respect as all the others. The beds were uncomfortable and lumpy. The only thing good out of it was being able to walk under to go to music hall convention center without going outside. Also, a valet guy performed magic tricks, which was pretty cool.

I changed rooms twice. The first room was next to the air-conditioning equipment. It came on every 15 minutes..... I could get NO rest, so I asked to move rooms.
The next room was okay, until the ceiling started leaking. Engineering came by and immediately had me moved to another room. Whew! Just when it was time to go to bed, too.
The last room I was in shared a "straight-shot" air duct with the adjoining room. I could actually see their light from my room.... Sadly, those folks stayed up until about 1:00am chatting and having a good time. No problem there unless you need some sleep....
So finally I did the wise thing. I packed my stuff up and left the premises. Thank goodness, for the remaining stay in KC, once I left the Aladdin, I slept like a baby.
Nope, never to stay there again!!!!!!

This is a wonderful hotel, with comfortable rooms and very friendly staff. Walking distance to the Power & Light District and the Sprint Center. Definitely plan to stay here again soon!

We were in town for a concert and booked this hotel so we could walk to the Sprint Center. The front desk and door staff were amazing! They helped me through some credit card drama and got my vehicle unloaded quickly, all while joking around and keeping us laughing! The door guy walked us to our room and helped with luggage after giving the adults in our party champagne.
Our room was comfy and super clean. We requested more bedding, which was brought up lightning fast, with a smile.
Breakfast was buffet style and had lots of options, even for picky eaters.
Check out was quick and friendly. All around wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend the Aladdin to anyone traveling to the area.

The staff was superb, especially Eunjolie (sp?) who provided us with a fantastic breakfast! Location great, right in the thick of it! The room was well layed out & beds were very comfortable. The front desk staff answered all our touristy questions.

It's great experience and i stayed for one week. Their service is good and the problem is breakfast. We had one day buffy system and in all other days we forced to order because they have not arranged because of less occupancy. Except this the experience is good.

the Sprint Center for a NCAA tournament game, for example, the Aladdin HI is a nice choice. The Sprint Center and surrounding Power and Light district are within close proximity.
The hotel elevators are certainly not the fastest in the world but they eventually get the job done. The staff was ready to assist and the Sunday breakfast buffet was tasty and a good value. My wife would have preferred a small refrigerator and microwave oven in the room but I do not know where we would have put it. The room was small but again the location of the hotel and graciousness of the staff offset any minor deficiencies.

I traveled into town for Dave Ramsey- and I love staying here. However, this trip was not as pleasurable as usual. I was hoping the spa was open, yet when I got there it was closed by 5PM. I was wanting a full body massage, guess I should have called ahead. So much for being spontaneous! Drinks in the bar were great - as always! The food, was alright; salad was very nice. The Chicken Marcela, was not very good at all. I ordered rice, it came with mashed potatoes, I wanted asparagus and all they had were streamed vegetables. The chicken was like rubber, tasted like a frozen dinner overcooked in a microwave. The carrot cake, was pretty good, very moist. I was able to leave my car in valet while I attended the conference, and came back to get my luggage. I appreciate that also. But hoped the food would have been better, has it has been before.

The lobby staff ( check-in/doormen) were very friendly and helpful. The doorman was almost always at the door to the open door exiting or entering. The front desk staff were welcoming and efficient.
The room was a bit small, but adequate for sleeping and working if needed. Chairs were comfortable with adequate lighting for reading. The HVAC was a bit load but worked very well.

The service by the front desk and lounge staff was amazing. We were greeted with smiles and helpful front desk attendants. The bartender at the martini lounge was very friendly. This location is very close to Power and Light District. The distance from attractions makes this completely worth the price. Only problem was the noise level. We were lucky to not have any noisy neighbors, but could hear cell phone alarms from other rooms going off in the morning. The vents seem to carry sound very easily. The great service and location make this a very small issue. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

The staff was nice and helpful. The rooms were very clean. Would say its not best hotel that I have stayed in but it is a long ways from being the worst. I would say the bed was one of the better ones that I have slept on. Would recommend this hotel to others.

They have updated hotel so it has old charm but nice beds, bathrooms, etc. The service in the restaurant is slow and unmovitivated. They need service training in a big way. The exercise equipment works but it is cracked and old and noisy. There was a party on the top floor of the bldg and I was on the 10th floor (I think top floor was 12 or 14) and I could hear the bass beating after midnite. annoying.

The room was a little run down, which was disappointing. The tub was in need of new grout. The carpets needed a better job of vacuuming in the corners and along the edges. Bright paint and furnishings do not make a hotel a "boutique."
But by far the biggest disappointment was the attitude of the staff member I encountered on the Sunday morning of my stay. At check-in Friday evening, I was given two coupons for breakfast because of my Priority Club status. Unfortunately I misplaced the coupons and on Sunday morning I asked if I could have them replaced. The man at the desk looked up my reservation and said I shouldn't have gotten the coupons to begin with, because I was booked at the government rate and insinuated that I wasn't there on business (yes, I was there on business). He begrudgingly replaced the coupons and said he would have to re-educate the staff on who was eligible for the coupons. I didn't need the attitude or the lecture. I won't stay at the property again.

On checking in we discovered one bed was broken on the bottom corner and there was no diffuser on the vent so the air rushed down on us. The hotel was completely booked so nothing could be down. During our morning shower we stood ankle bone deep in water. We reminded the front desk about needing a change and why. The repair men showed up and insisted on fixing things right then. We were getting ready for a wedding so they left all of their lumber and repair materials in the room to trip over.
By mid-afternoon we did have a room change to a much nicer room. Sunday morning we were awakened by people speaking the F word very loudly. As it turned out our vent connected to another room and we heard that morning argument.
I had a wonderful manicure in the basement salon.
The hotel did comp our parking saying that is the best they could do.
