Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome property This was our first stay at the Holiday Inn on the Kansas City Plaza. We travel with small dogs so we need a pet friendly hotel. This was a very nice, clean one. The staff was awesome. There was lots of grass to walk our dogs. Great experience! August 31, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very friendly staff I travel on business and have found some hotel staff that appear to wish they were elsewhere. Not this hotel. Everyone I interacted with had a smile on their face and were very friendly and helpful. Service in the bar and restaurant was excellent with the wait staff attentive and very responsive to a request. We used the shuttle service from the hotel to the Country Club plaza which was very nice. It is obvious the hotel manager knows how to train their people and that good customer service results in repeat business. I will stay here again on my next business trip to Kansas City. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Unpleasant visit to this hotel We traveled out of town for a wedding and were staying at this hotel (Holiday Inn Country Club Plaza). Unfortunately our stay at this hotel was very unpleasant. The room smelled very musty and reeked of mold and mildew. Hotel initially suggested that we might change rooms, but then they said they had none available that we would be happy with (not exactly sure what that means). At my suggestion they did bring a fan to our room which I thought might alleviate the problem, but it did not. Unfortunately mi wife was unable to sleep most of the night because of the mold and other allergy causing particles in the air. In an unrelated item, I decided to join the IHG rewards club with this visit. I was told that because of this stay I would earn points. When I got email confirming the stay it indicated that no points were awarded for this stay (it was not eligible). I have no idea why, but will probably cancel the IHG account. August 26, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient location and helpful staff This was my first stay at the Country Club Plaza Holiday Inn and the experience exceeded my expectations. I have stayed at other Holiday Inn hotels before, but the Country Club Plaza was much more attractive than any other I have experienced. The pool/courtyard area was very attractive (as was the entire exterior) and the convenience of the location and shuttle service was superb. The staff were helpful and personable. The lobby and restaurant were also attractive and comfortable. I would not hesitate to book another stay here! August 25, 2015
