Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A night at the Ariel H I I spent the night before I had an early flight to Europe. I was greeted as a platinum member and offered the choice of 500 bonus points or a voucher for discounted food or drink. The room was up to the usual excellent standard. The only flaw was the lack of coffee in the room. The room maid must have forgotten to put some sachets of coffee along side the tea bags and sugar. I only saw this at 4.00 am the next morning when I got up so it was too late for the hotel to remedy it. I told the person on the front desk when I checked out and received a genuine apology. Hotel is conveniently close to the car park I always use at Heathrow and I am happy to recommend it. February 14, 2014

As a result, I used few of the hotel's available services. However, my room was good value for money, clean and well-equipped for my purposes. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Average The rooms are very dated and as stated previously the pillows need to be changed or a variety offered. The rooms lack a fridge & safe as per most other rooms at hotels within the heathrow vacinity and for a large chain this is very concerning, also as per other hotels around heathrow the security could be upgraded to only allow guests staying at the hotel in and out of the lifts or through the doors to accommodation. Another issue was that as a group of 5 we were kept waiting for over 40 minutes for our meals and were never once updated as to what was happening, this even though the restaurant was not full. As a positive the reception staff (young lady that checked me out) was and is always very helpful. February 3, 2014

How can you with pride, advertize your restaurant for its "Gourmet" burgers? Are you trying to compete with MacDonalds? The food quality was good, but apart from burgers, a very limited choice. 4. Also being a week day the price was double what I had paid the previous week for a much much nicer room. I was only staying overnight for a flight so it was sufficient but I cannot give as good a review as last week. Went down for breakfast in the morning, wasn't approached buy any members of staff so had to seat myself. Was asked 10 minutes later if I wanted tea or coffee, had to give my room number because I wasn't asked. Overall a good stay but star need to be a bit more attentive! January 26, 2014

Staff was very friendly and helpful and made extra effort to get us on the proper bus back to the airport. We ate the dinner special: 2 2-course meals with 2 drinks each (including beer or wine) for 40 pounds. The food was good and our server was attentive and friendly. For the most part, the room was comfortable and clean and a good value. We had 2 issues. The design of the wall around the shower creates a large gap that allows water to escape. There was plenty of hot water and great pressure, but the floor was covered with water when I stepped out. Second, while the bed was comfy, the pillows were flat and hard. January 24, 2014

The service level is noticeably higher and the standard has been improved. It is one of the best valued hotel in Heathrow area. You should be aware that they do have the single room which is small and designed for one person. I highly recommend such room if you are travelling alone to save on budget. However, it may not suit for anyone who have concerns on available spaces. The treatment for platinum member is proper and nice. Public transportation is good too. Recommended. January 23, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Convenience at a fair price Relaxing overnight close to Heathrow. The hotel was clean and quiet (especially for being so close to the airport), yet still convenient to the center of London. I was able to check in, return a rental car to the airport, then catch a free bus from the Heathrow transportation center out to the hotel, about a ten to fifteen minute ride. I was later able to grab the bus back to Heathrow and take the underground into London on the Piccadilly line (under an hour to Piccadilly Circus) to meet friends for dinner. My only negative was that I needed to ask to have the WiFi fee refunded as an IHG Rewards Club member, but the staff quickly remedied that for me. Being able to stay close to the airport afforded me peace of mind for my transfer to the airport in the morning. The reasonableness of the hotel rate allowed me to try this, and I would choose to stay here again, especially considering the distance between the airport and the city and the delays that can hamper a commute out for an early flight.
