Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Plymothian1234 Comfortable, friendly, sensible prices - and near Heathrow
We have used this hotel several times when flying from Heathrow. The rooms are comfortable, well equipped and a place to relax before the flight.
Food is very nice - not Michelin - but enjoyable, and even though you are a "captive" audience, they offer value, rather than taking you for a ride.
Staff are always friendly and helpful
Overall, highly recommended, and book early to get a really good price, and lookout for the park and stay deals.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by PaulFT22 Average Airport Hotel with Average Service
Basically this place is just average but meets requirements if all you need is a place to grab some average food and then lay your head in an average bed in an average bedroom before you get up really early to head back to the airport for a red-eye flight.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by hugo Good nights sleep
I chose this hotel for its proximity to Heathrow, the rooms were of a good quality, and I had a great view of the runway. The carpark was busy but there was space. I arrived quite late but was still able to get a drink from the bar. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I wuld defineatley stay and recommend.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Android101 Excellent room and a great night's sleep
After a long day's traveling from the middle east, my wife and I pre booked our room at the Holiday Inn Ariel Heathrow, instead of trying to make a connecting flight back to Dublin which we would very likely have missed.
We were glad of the friendly welcome at reception and I won a prize of some free internet time with which I could check in for our flight the following day.
I had requested a room overlooking the runway at Heathrow and got exactly what I wanted. It was a delight to watch the planes landing and taking off the next day. Although I did have to close the window after my wife complained of the noise!
But with windows closed the previous night we had a wonderful night's sleep. Had a good English breakfast in the morning and were ready in plenty of time for our journey home. It is my fourth visit to the hotel and I look forward to returning again.
The room was spotlessly clean and the bathroom too.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mal58 Food quality
The quality of the food we ordered was in general acceptable, until we got to the desert. We had ordered, what was described as a an apple pie "filled with bramley apples ...." . Now when described as "filled with" you expect to be delivered a pie thick with fruit. In fact the pie was so thin and lacking in fruit that we sent it back. The staff said that this was the fault of the supplier of the product. My view is that if you are supplying a product it needs to be of the required quality and matches the description. Also the end point of the supply chain is directly where the fault lies. If by purchasing very thin pies for not much money and then selling them at inflated hotel prices is how you intend to increase your profits and upset the customers then you are doing yourselves no justice. This will result in lower profits by fewer guests eating in the hotel restaurant. Secondly there is the trade description act to consider, of which you are failing the consumer.

Have used this hotel many times over the past ten years for weekend breaks (2-3 times each year)
We were made to feel very welcome on this visit.
Value not 5 stars because car parking is expensive.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Tony6 A good airport hotel
Airport hotels are usually indifferent and soulless to say the least.
The Holiday Inn Ariel has this appearance but is in fact a comfortable and welcoming place for travellers either those going off very early the following morning or those who have just arrived from an intercontinental flight.
It offers value for money and is more than adequate for an overnight stay

A great location for the Hoppa buses to Heathrow. The food was excellent, the bed very comfortable.
I wish this hotel was in central London, I would have stayed there.
Well done Holiday Inn.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by SirFrancis Memorable - for all the wrong reasons
This was a very disappointing stay. I had anticipated some noise from the airport, but that was surprisingly well suppressed. What wasn't suppressed was the noise from the room next door and the front desk's unwillingness to do anything about it. I was up most of my first night.
The room was small and dank, not what you would expect from the Holiday Inn.
Worst though, is the fact that you have two hotels on the same road with the same name - Holiday Inn Heathrow. (At least on your confirmation email). This makes things very difficult for someone who does not know the area well.
Must do better!

I was shocked at how old and shabby this property was. The rooms are tiny, the carpet old and threadbare and it smelled like cigarettes everywhere and I had a non-smoking room. The final straw was when I went to bed, the smoke detector was directly over the bed and was flashing in my face all night. I didn't get any sleep at all. It was terrible.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by SM25 Dont expect a room just because you have a reservation
Had reserved an executive room using my rewards points for the 19th Sept prior to flying to the US
Had picked this hotel as it was near to the parking we were using and it was convenient for the terminal we were flying from
Arrived around midnight to find that there was no room available for us and we had been 'moved' to the Park Inn. There was no apology at all.... just that they were expecting us.
we eventually got to bed well past 2:00 am .. not brilliant when you have an early morning flight
It thats how priority club members are treated then i cant say i can recommend them # and I work for a large corporate#
Not a great experience and one that could have set the whole trip off to a bad start

Hotel area definitely not clean.

Food and Service in the restaurant are not something to brag about.

We asked at for a room at the front overlooking the airport but, ended up with a room overlooking the dustbins and a cark park!! The man on the the reception desk was very rude and unhelpful. Overall I was very disappointed.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Plod Fair to Poor
Stayed twice at this hotel at the beginning and end of a holiday flying from Heathrow. On both occasions the staff were very good. The first stay the room was quite reasonable. However, on the second stay the room was very poor. The shower was broken and flooded the bathroom floor, the bath mat had obviously been used so often it had worn through and there was a hole in it. There were no flannels supplied in the bathroom. The furniture was poor the only good thing was the bed. Did not feel secure due to no safe and there was a connecting door to the next room. Although this was locked there was nothing to stop it being opened e.g.. a bolt on my side. Brought above complaints to attention of receptionist who stated a manager would contact me. One week gone no contact yet.
Doubt if I will use this hotel again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Android101 Clean comfortable room and a great nights sleep!
This hotel has the advantage of being close to Heathrow and on public bus routes to nearby suburbs. The busses are free within the airport areas and as far as Hatton Cross, where there is also a tube station. There is a hotel Hoppa which you can purchase a ticket for.
I like the atmosphere around the hotel, the exciting buzz of air travel being so close to the runways. Yet, sleeping is not a problem, probably due to the clever architectural design of the building.
I have come here several times now on leisure trips and will be returning again soon.
The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff are friendly and professional. I am very happy to recommend the Holiday Inn , Ariel at Heathrow.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Flyingguest Quiet and comfortable for an airport stopover
I arrived late and left early for the airport, but my brief stay was comfortable, the room and bed were a good size for a single, it was quiet with a room facing inwards (at least up until 6.30am when I left) and I had a great shower in the morning. This is what I wanted of my stay and it was quite good value.
My only real irritation was getting to the hotel. You could obviously get a taxi, but working on a budget, I opted for the Hotel Hoppa bus service; a good service, but they only run every half an hour and it takes a little while. When on a tight turnaround, every minute counts.
Overall happy though!

Love that Holiday Inn provides 2 pillow options. The room was immaculately kept during my stay and was very comfortable.
Staff were also very helpful in arranging early check-in and answering any questions I had about transport and the local area.
Felt very welcome at the Holiday Inn Heathrow Ariel and would recommend it to others looking for a hotel near Heathrow.

The room was small but really, really well appointed. I found I had everything I could need and when I realised I'd left my toothbrush at home, the helpful lass on reception brought a spare one to my room for me - very attentive!
The only downside, and to me, it was a big one, was that the room was FREEZING and there were no spare blankets and a duvet that was very, very thin. I did put the air conditioning to a hot setting but it made no difference until the early hours (I'd put it on around 8.30pm!) when I was cooked out of my bed. A vast improvement for me would have been better temp controls or just the provision of some blankets or similar.
Super room and service (I didn't try the food) but chilly!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cheryl123 Comfortable bed, great staff, good sleep
I was at the hotel for less than 10 hours on an overnight layover. Hotel staff were very friendly and efficient, checking me in and out with great speed. The room (mine was on the inside hall) was small but comfortable and quiet enough to get some great sleep between flights. The Hotel Hoppa ride to T3 was fairly brief, due to the hotel's location.

Everything about this hotel is perfect. The location is great, the bus from the airport takes you and picks you up directly inside the parking lot of the hotel; the hotel style is modern with an elegant touch. My room was very nice and clean.
The front desk staff is very nice and friendly. In particular Sonia went the extra mile giving me all sort of information I may have needed. The food at the restaurant was good......I was just sorry that I was staying just one night but next time I am in transit in London I will definetely book it again.

My husband and I used to stay at the Holiday Inn M4J4 until I came across Ariel a few years ago.
It's a nice little hotel, very conveniently placed on the route between LHR and Hounslow. This means that it is easily accessible by public transport! The staff here are always very kind and helpful!
There is a bus shuttle service connecting the hotel to LHR but we personally use the local bus (423 gets you to T5 in about 10 mins)!

Very comfortable and convenient after a long flight. Welcoming and easy check-in with good bar and restauant area.
Excellent breakfast and rapid check-out after too brief a stay.
The cost of the airport bus shuttle was a disappointment, but the bus service was good.
Overall, highly recommended primarily for its comfort, convenience and facilities.
