Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Stay, But Needs some Improvement I stayed here overnight. The location is quite convenient to I-495 and U.S. 20 and I was grateful for the in-house restaurant with a nice simple dinner. That leads to my only criticism. The restaurant was woefully understaffed both at dinner and at breakfast the next day. There was only one bartender at dinner and no wait staff and there was only one person at breakfast. Especially for a weekend, staffing should be improved. The hotel otherwise was comfortable, accessible, and I would consider staying here again. January 6, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Wifi Eggs I had a lot of trouble with reconnecting to the wifi. The signal would always go out and take forever to reconnect. The eggs were cold every morning and didn't have much flavor to them. Luckily. the sausage, bacon, and potatoes were terrific. These few imperfections were far from something that would cause me to not come back. This was a great hotel and I did enjoy my stay. December 8, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good location, bad hospitality We stayed for two nights and it was conveniently located near Southboro and Westboro where we needed to be for the weekend. We went to the bar both nights and get a quick drink and watch the game. The bartender wasn't friendly at all and made horrible drinks. He barely put vodka in the drinks and when asked if he could top it off he charged us and was very rude, Also, there were no snacks at all at the bar. The front desk staff was equally dismissive. The maid service didn't provide conditioner and we had to go to the front desk both days to get it (they took the bottles from the day before!) I've never been to a hotel (including other Holiday Inns) that did not provide the mini conditioners along with the shampoo. I would NOT stay here again simply due to the lack of service. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pool not heated as it should be We have stayed at this hotel several times over the last 3-4 years. We have family in the area and enjoy bringing 2 grandchildren to the pool when we can. They love swimming and it gives the parents some time off! At least 3 times we have been disappointed. Water isn't heated to the 'promised' 80 degrees; door to outside left open so pool area is cold; it just isn't the pool experience that it should be for the adults as well as for the younger ones. I get the impression that the pool temperature is managed to save operating costs, but given that we are quickly moving into colder weather and likely there will be more guest interested in taking advantage of the pool, we hope that there is attention paid to water and air temperature in the future. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Like Coming Home The staff at this Holiday Inn make weary travelers feel like they're coming home after a long trip. The general Manager and assistant Front Office Manager greeted us with personal inquiries every time we entered the lobby: "How was your day Mr. Walker? Did you have trouble finding the restaurant Mrs. Walker?", etc. They were knowledgeable of the area and provided advice to ensure a safe and pleasant visit. They even offered suggestions from the dining menu, making us feel like we were having a real home cooked meal. If I could change anything, it would be the lighting in the bathroom. October 17, 2013

The restaurant in the hotel is ok for breakfast but did not try any other meals although the service at breakfast is hit or miss. The initial reaction is very good between the inviting lobby and the welcoming staff. I will definitely be back. September 24, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quick Overnight Stay This property was a great place to stay overnight and the value was reasonable. The parking lot was clean and there was ample parking in the back. The lobby was well maintained and clean. The front desk person was professional and efficient. The room was standard and it was tidy. The bathroom was clean with fresh towels and toiletries. Shower pressure was good. The bed was okay and the pillows were too soft for me; didn't get a good's night rest but that was because I'm a light sleeper. Had breakfast at the hotel's restaurant - continental breakfast, hot buffet (scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage) @ $11.50 for all you can eat. Overall, an excellent quick overnighter. September 12, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn Marlborough Rooms themselves were fine, but hotel in general was stifiling hot!!!! Being there in August was brutal. There was a wedding one night and therefore ...NO ICE anywhere!!!! Three out of four encounters with front desk staff-extremely rude. I would not stay here ever again and definitely not recommend. The breakfast was not worth the price and being outside any other options...should be included. September 2, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable and affordable I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Marlborough this past weekend. This is probably my 11th or 12th stay at this hotel. It is close to my family and a very convenient location to get back on Rte. 495 South to get back to Cape Cod. The room was fine. Plenty of towels and pillows. The TV worked fine. I requested a refrigerator which was delivered promptly. However, the plug that was used when the staff came with the refrigerator did not work. I moved the refrigerator to a plug that was working. I requested that someone come to the room to repair the plug while I was out for the entire day. Upon returning at dinner time, the problem was not fixed. Because there are not many plugs available, charging the phone, ipod and ipad was a challenge. This was the only disappointment. The room is comfortable....nothing elegant, but very satisfactory for a night or two. We did not visit the restaurant or bar on this visit. August 9, 2013

The staff at this facility is always extremely accommodating to my frequent schedule changes and the service is consistently great. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good, average hotel While traveling the most important detail of a hotel is cleanliness. This hotel did not disappoint. Our room was very clean, and what's more, the air conditioning unit worked at maximum capacity without fail. Beds were comfortable and the room smelled clean. Ice machines ran out of ice on both floors. The hotel needs to upgrade their bath towels as they were thin and small. Excellent, easy location immediately off of Route 495 with options in both directions for groceries, fast food, pharmacy, gasoline. We arrived earlier than allowed check-in time but front desk was accommodating and quick having little to no wait. The restaurant was closed during the day on Sunday without even room service options, however it is sited close to nearby restaurants. Grabbing Monday breakfast to go was a simple egg sandwich that was dry and tasteless on a roll, my husband had an egg white omelet that was greasy, flat and in his words, disgusting! We did not use the pool. The hotel is fine for quick overnight stays and is in a safe (set up high away from the main road) but high traffic location. August 6, 2013

The hotel smelled of dog and when I spoke With the manager I did not get an apprioprate answer saying they do not inform guests about who or what group is staying there. The smell of dogs was everywhere in the Hoyle including the room we stayed in. I will not select rhis hotel chain in the future if this is the way they treat their customers August 4, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Excellent service! I called the front desk on Saturday July 27 to get an old sheet for the bed as I had a dog with me. The phone kept cutting out. Finally I made my request and asked to have some come and look at the phone. Within minutes I had my old sheet and the maintenance man came and fixed the phone. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad experience at your property would not recommend. Bad experience. We were with a hockey tournament and we were very disappointed in the level of service among other things. We heard dogs barking at night thanks to a dog convention at the hotel:( it wasn't very pleasant seeing these huge dogs (size of a horse) take a potty break in the Holiday Inn Parking Lot:( The team asked if there was a hospitality or meeting room available for a team pizza party one night and they were very unaccomodating to us. Very rude front desk staff. Not conducive to a team event such as ours. Any questions feel free to contact me. I know I'm not alone in these concerns. August 2, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Dirty carpets The carpet in our assigned room was filthy. The most disgusting hotel carpet I have ever seen. Most of the lights didn't work and we found hair in the bed. We switched to another room that had working lights and and a moderately dirty carpet. We also found hair in the bed in this room. The bedspreads in both rooms were filthy. The bathrooms were updated and nice. The front desk staff was friendly and polite. July 24, 2013
