I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Marlborough this past weekend. This is probably my 11th or 12th stay at this hotel. It is close to my family and a very convenient location to get back on Rte. 495 South to get back to Cape Cod.
The room was fine. Plenty of towels and pillows. The TV worked fine. I requested a refrigerator which was delivered promptly. However, the plug that was used when the staff came with the refrigerator did not work. I moved the refrigerator to a plug that was working. I requested that someone come to the room to repair the plug while I was out for the entire day. Upon returning at dinner time, the problem was not fixed. Because there are not many plugs available, charging the phone, ipod and ipad was a challenge. This was the only disappointment.
The room is comfortable....nothing elegant, but very satisfactory for a night or two. We did not visit the restaurant or bar on this visit.

my wife and I visit family in the area a couple times a year - generally mixing it with business. The staff at this facility is always extremely accommodating to my frequent schedule changes and the service is consistently great. There are other hotel choices in the area, but I have no reason to change

While traveling the most important detail of a hotel is cleanliness. This hotel did not disappoint. Our room was very clean, and what's more, the air conditioning unit worked at maximum capacity without fail. Beds were comfortable and the room smelled clean. Ice machines ran out of ice on both floors. The hotel needs to upgrade their bath towels as they were thin and small. Excellent, easy location immediately off of Route 495 with options in both directions for groceries, fast food, pharmacy, gasoline. We arrived earlier than allowed check-in time but front desk was accommodating and quick having little to no wait. The restaurant was closed during the day on Sunday without even room service options, however it is sited close to nearby restaurants. Grabbing Monday breakfast to go was a simple egg sandwich that was dry and tasteless on a roll, my husband had an egg white omelet that was greasy, flat and in his words, disgusting! We did not use the pool. The hotel is fine for quick overnight stays and is in a safe (set up high away from the main road) but high traffic location.

We checked in and then found out there was an Irish wolf
Hound conference. The hotel smelled of dog and when I spoke
With the manager I did not get an apprioprate answer saying they do not inform guests about who or what group is staying there. The smell of dogs was everywhere in the Hoyle including the room we stayed in. I will not select rhis hotel chain in the future if this is the way they treat their customers

I called the front desk on Saturday July 27 to get an old sheet for the bed as I had a dog with me. The phone kept cutting out. Finally I made my request and asked to have some come and look at the phone. Within minutes I had my old sheet and the maintenance man came and fixed the phone. I have never had such quick service at any hotel -ever!!! Thank you for your customer service!

Bad experience. We were with a hockey tournament and we were very disappointed in the level of service among other things. We heard dogs barking at night thanks to a dog convention at the hotel:( it wasn't very pleasant seeing these huge dogs (size of a horse) take a potty break in the Holiday Inn Parking Lot:(
The team asked if there was a hospitality or meeting room available for a team pizza party one night and they were very unaccomodating to us. Very rude front desk staff. Not conducive to a team event such as ours. Any questions feel free to contact me. I know I'm not alone in these concerns.

The carpet in our assigned room was filthy. The most disgusting hotel carpet I have ever seen. Most of the lights didn't work and we found hair in the bed. We switched to another room that had working lights and and a moderately dirty carpet. We also found hair in the bed in this room. The bedspreads in both rooms were filthy. The bathrooms were updated and nice. The front desk staff was friendly and polite.

The room was clean and neat and well lit. Bed was too firm for us but the linens were fresh and clean. Workout room was clean and had really good equipment. Bar was expensive but drinks were good.

My son and I had a horrible experience at the Best Western and went running for our lives...and some sleep to the Holiday Inn. We were met with a happy face, given a clean room and off my son was finally able to relax...he fell asleep.
I highly recommend this hotel for it's cleanliness and comfort. We ordered room service in the AM and it was delivered on time and delicious.

When I booked my stay at the hotel, I was unaware there was a hockey tournament for children. While the children (many, many, many of them) were quite well-behaved, they took up a fair amount of time in the pool and also had the elevators going continuously. Still, it was a great hotel.

Holiday Inn has always been one of my preferred hotels. I have probably only been disappointed on two occasions in the last six years. This would number three.
The floors in the room were disgusting, which obviously made me start looking more closely at the rest of the facility more critically. In short it is dated and in need of refurbishment. Floors were worn in the hallway of my floor; it seemed half the people on my floor had to slam their doors to shut them myself included. Beds and baths were clean
The breakfast buffet the only meal I had there it was unappetizing, food was likely out past the point of a reasonable amount of time. After I had gotten my food at about 8:00 and nobody had even checked it by 8:35. (The restaurant was dated.)
The employees were pleasant and professional, and the outside and entrance of the hotel were acceptable; it did feel safe and secure.

We only stayed one night, but ALL night there seemed to be children stampeeding throughout the hallway. At one point, I looked to see what time it was, it was 2am. I know these kids were there for a nearby hockey tournament, but my daughter needed rest for her dance recital. And to be kept awake all night was unexpected. Room was clean, air conditioning unit was also loud.

This is the place to stay when traveling in this area , I travel many miles out of my way every week to stay at this hotel. The main reason is the people , from everyone at the front desk , Starr , Luvia , Lynn and Deb , to everyone in the restaurant , Dee , Patti , Brad and Chris . The management team the is the best from the GM Jahayra , to Aaron , Coley and Amy . The Owners should be proud of the employees that have at this Hotel. They are the one's that make me feel like a valued guest and like family. The rooms are always clean and comfortable . My only negative comment would be bring back the Juice and Coffee bar in the morning , I heard many people comment about not having the bar any longer.

We were greeted with a smile. The front desk staff was efficient, professional and cordial. Our room was comfortable, clean and current. I had requested a room in a quiet area and that's exactly what I got. We had drinks downstairs and found the atmosphere relaxing.
Overall, a very pleasant stay.

We were there for a hockey tournament a couple of weeks ago. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful...especially STAR. Whether it be help with directions, or ideas where to shop, or eat. The cot we had in our room wasn't the most comfortable and I wish thee were mini fridges in the rooms, but, overall it was everything we needed and wanted. My only real negative was the buffet breakfast....wasn't the greatest value. I would stay here again though....very easy to get where we needed togo, no matter which direction. Thank You

I had to stay overnight at this hotel. To start, staff had to replace light bulbs, and a serviceman had to come to my room because the door wouldn't close completely. Later, I found that the television picture didn't work. Lastly, the heater didn't work, so I slept fully clothed. The staff didn't offer to change my room until almost 11 pm, but I had everything set for the morning. It was the worst hotel/motel experience of my life.

I stumbled on this location while in for business several months ago. What a treat. I have been back many times now as the staff in incredible. In a nutshell the staff is personable, proffesional, considerate, and helpful. Every Hoiliday Inn should come here for training. I travel extensively (189 nights last year) and this one stands out. The location is good, the in house restaurant is good, the rooms are clean, and the staff as stated is exceptional. Highly recommend this property.

We stayed here while in town for a hockey tournament. The hotel was clean, quiet and the staff was friendly and helpful. There was ample parking and the hotel was close to shopping and restaurants. I would recommend staying here.

The room was very comfortable and it was quite except the first night when kids were playing hockey out side our room at 11:30 pm. We called the front desk and within 5 minutes it was quite. The only thing was the resturant when we went down for breakfast it was only a buffet therefore we had to go out for breakfast. Over all this was comfortable and the deck clerk and cleaning staff very great. We were there for a hockey tournment and really enjoyed our stay.

Staying at this hotel was a pretty good experience. Not as nice as other holiday inn's i've stayed in but comfortable and clean enough. Very nice front desk staff. The only thing I will complain about is there consistently wasn't a hot shower in the morning. I was told this was a function of everyone taking showers at the same time in the morning. I understand that logic, but shouldn't the hotel have hot water tanks that accommodate full capacity? Other than that, not bad.

This hotel is a little bit dated, clean but dated. It is the staff that keep me coming back. From desk staff to cleaning crew, very pleasant and professional. I will be back. The restaraunt is also very good with a varied selection.
