Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Would it hurt these people to smile or greet you? I am a platinum member and i stay at Holiday Inns often. First, If the large sign out front wasnt there I would of never known this was a Holday Inn. It sits far back off the road and is barely noticedable form the road and from what you can see it doesnt even resmeble a hotel. 2nd, the Front Desk staff was arrogant and barely say a word unless you speak TO them. Unfirendly, unwelcoming and strange. At most ofther Holiday Inns I am greeting upon arrival and every trip through the lobby, NOT HERE. I was just stared at and never greeted unless I iniated it and it wouldnt hurt them to smile either. It diddnt even appear that the two people behding the desk spoke to each other they were always planted in a chair at either end of the front desk at a compute and never even noticed anyone in the lobby let alone get up out of the chair to greet you. This is unnacceptable. I even tested this theory and walked by the front desk several time at night and the morning to see if anyone would even say HI or ask me how my stay was.. BUT NO not once. simply stared at as i walked by. The Bar was no Bavarian Garden as this website claims, it was dark uninviting and the place had a odd smell. The room was typical clean, comfortable. The Pool was nice. I would not reccomend nor stay at t his hotel again. It all starts with customer service, the first thing you see when you walk in the door is the front desk, and what I experienced was ridiculous, unprofessional, and again by far the worst Holiday Inn I have statyed at in a long time. This place needs a total overhaul: in physical updates to the building, as well upgrades to the arrogant attitude of the front desk. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Location Stayed at this location on way from UMass to Pitt. Good Location for Trucks as it sets right off of I-84. There is Hardley any Motels/Hotels that has Large truck parking and with winter coming on, has Elec plug in for Block heaters. Room was clean, staff was good, bar food was OK as rest was closed when I checked in. The only minor problem I had was the heater was rather loud, so got room nice and warm and turned heater off. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Needs updating The first room we checked into was supposed to be non-smoking but reeked of cigarettes. The second room was better. But, during the night we smelling smoking coming from the hallway of the non-smoking floor. The TV remote had problems changing channels. Too much furniture in the room and not enough space to put luggage. The location of the elevator is inconvenient at best. The outside locked door didn't close properly. (No need for a room key) The hotel is old and in need of updating. November 24, 2012

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Room could have been cleaner, no free bfast. Didnt really get comfortable In room because it had a weird smell and wasn't as clean as other Holiday Inns. Descents Tay, would stay here again because of experience at other holiday inns and t wasn't unreasonably dirty. I would just rank it as an average stay, nothing extraordinary about it. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not Clean enough for me or my wife I'm on the road about 300 days a year; this hotel was the worst I've experienced in probably 4 years. Dirty Room, Bath, Hallways. It's in deparate need of cleaning and updating to compete with nearby Holiday Inns. The outside needed clean-up also. Very disappointed since I've stayed at HI Express over 200+ days this year alone. I won't return to this particular location. Actually canceled a day and moved elsewhere. My wife was not happy, nor I. October 18, 2012

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable stay i would recommend it. staff very friendly and understanding. i had a problem with my phone bill and they reversed the charges without hassle. only two small negatives: 1. hallway has strong smell of smoke even though floor is non-smoking. 2. breakfast is convoluted. they give you a $4.00 coupon but they charge for everything....juice, bacon. why don't they keep everything simple: no coupon and just include the standard breakfast items in the price October 13, 2012
