Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JackM2 Comfortable, Clean and Pet Freindly
The Pet Friendly nature and the quality are the primary reason I selected this hotel. I stay at the Norton Holiday Inn several times per year and always find it to be the best in the area. The rooms are clean and well-kept. The staff is very attentive and their pride shows. Positives: Staff, Restaurant, Internet, Quality, Cleanliness and Pet Friendly. Negatives: Bathroom lighting is low, parking lot is showing wear and little more green space/landscaping would help paint the hotel’s exterior to match the quality of the rooms.

You do not want to have a room the faces the road. It is so loud they give you ear plugs in your room when you check in. I will not stay here again!

At this nice Inn the stay was very comfortable and the furnishings were above average. Although the beds could have been a little bigger I slept really comfortable.

Staff, motel, great. Only two faults I have is the noise on the road side rooms and the bar is now smoke free.

The internet connectivity at this hotel is not very good. The connection is very low, after performing a speed test it registered at under 1mbps. For the internet to be so readily available at many restaurants and hotels, to have this constantly be an adventure isn't a positive for the hotel. I've stayed about a half dozen times and each stay presents a separate experience with the internet. Other than the internet the hotel and rooms are nice!

This is the loudest hotel outside of Vegas that I have stayed in this past year. The hotel is shoddily built with paper thin walls and floors, windows are not sound proofed and it has smoking rooms. The hotel reeks of smoke!!! I was moved 3 times due to traffic noise because the hotel sits at a major traffic lighted intersection and the hotel is literally within 5 feet of the light on a hard corner. The Staff was very nice and did their best but it's the owners fault and not the Staff's. It is also the nicest hotel within 50 miles,so, I really had no choice for 3 days. Will I stay here again? Not on our life!! If im in the region again, I will stay in Kingsport, Bristol or Johnson City and drive the 50 miles. The hotel should be torn down and rebuilt to current standards with concrete floors and double pane windows as well as extra thick walls. The rooms are nice though. But never again!

This was a cleaner hotel and very comfortable. The man that was checking me in was extremely helpful and nice. The only complaint I have is with the cleaning. Being a frequent traveler I noticed that the housekeeping was by far the worse I have encountered. The beds were barely made and towels not picked up, plastic cups not replenished, and so on. I still feel that the room was clean it was just the little things that you are so accustomed too.
