Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great for families with smaller children but zero entry pool was FREEZING. I could not go in at all. The kids really loved the slides. They are 5 1/2 and 3 1/2. That pool plus adjoining lazy river water temp was just fine. The children's pool could not have been heated at all. The air temp in the hallway was warmer than in the pool? Also the snack bar was open for about 10 minutes total. Food was typical Holiday Inn food so you know what you are going to get when you book a room. The room was nice and even though it was a Holiday weekend, we were able to sleep all night. No wild kids running up and down the halls, which we have experienced in the past at other hotels. So warm up the pool, open the snack bar and everything would be super! February 20, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Staff was friendly, pool was fun, sofa sleeper poor We selected this hotel for a fun family get away weekend. The pool was fun for the entire family and the king suite was nice size. What we were disappointed about were: the game room was so hot that you couldn't even stand to be in there and play games. Also, the mattress on the sofa sleeper in our room was awful. It was so thin that you could feel all the springs through the mattress. It was so uncomfortable that we ended up sleeping on the floor for the night which was also very uncomfortable. Couldn't wait for morning to come so we could head home and sleep in our own beds. Would not recommend any room with a sofa sleeper due to very poor quality mattress. February 17, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by No recognition of Platinum Status here My family stayed at this HI this past weekend. We enjoyed the attached restaurant, which had good food and very friendly and personalized service. Also liked the hotel waterpark, albeit the water in the kiddie splash area was pretty cold. More concerning was the lack of recognition of status by this hotel. I received no verbal recognition of status upon check in or any other interaction with the front desk. No upgrades, no perks, nada. This was my first stay at an IHG property with status and I was very disappointed with this. Rooms were ok, pretty small. Showerheads were some of the worst I have seen at a hotel-piercing razorblade sharp output that made you want to get out of the shower as quickly as possible. Parking was minimal right around the hotel, with the overflow lot a bit of a hike from the entrances. Overall, I cannot recommend this property and probably would not stay again. February 17, 2014

We did not have enough coffee (the coffee is the worst coffee we have had in a hotel and restaurant) SUGGESTION IS TO WORK WITH STARBUCKS AND PROVIDE THEIR COFFEE OR MAKE IT AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE. The food in the Green Mill was not warm for all the meals we ate. Pretty disappointed. (Both off the menu and on the buffet.) There were no extra blankets in the suite either. Looked like floors were not cleaned very well, broken balloon on the floor. February 13, 2014

There was no fan in the bathroom which is nice to run during showers and also to drown out the noise in the hallways. It was not cheap, so I couldn't call it high value. I liked the exercise room. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by TOTALLY NOT worth it We stayed on a Sunday night. The parking lot was so parked up with a wedding expo that we had to park on the street a block from the hotel. Check in was at 4 but we were told they had no rooms, but we could swim until a room was ready. The pool was so packed with birthday parties for the local community that the pool area was insane. The wall said pool capacity 122. We counted 22 kids with one party not to mention the 5 adults all dressed in street clothes that stood in the corner of the table area chatting- no one was watching the birthday party kids. There were inner tubes for the slides but you had to wait on the side of the pool deck and snatch one from some child as they climbed out of the pool. We waited on average 7-10 mins to find a tube we could use. The hot tub was not hot and filled with birthday party kids swimming. We were finally able to check in at 5:30pm. The pool continued to be packed. One birthday party would leave and we would have a breath of air to swim only to see a new set of kids paraded in in boots, snowpants and coats to strip down and enjoy the water. The kiddie pool was cold and our kids were shivering after only 30mins. When Monday morning rolled around we asked for a late check out and were told, NO! They couldn't not accommodate us. I explained that we were not able to check in until 5:30 and just wanted to swim longer. They told us they were sorry and still could not accommodate our request. I didn't understand why our room wasn't ready when we arrived and yet the next morning they had to have it ready for the new guests on time. You can't tell me that they needed our room on a Monday morning! This hotel really should be advertised as a place for birthday parties and not for family vacation. January 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Family Get-together We had a great weekend. The staff was very helpful, we ask if we could have a few chairs for our room for friends to visit, and they came right up with them, even though I offered to get them myself. Water park was fun, good for all ages, little hard to visit, with the echo- kids screaming- having fun! Looked for a place to gather and they gave us the boardroom- ordered pizza from the restaurant, worked out great! Hopefully stay there next year! January 13, 2014
