Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Under renovation The hotel was under some serious renovations and this was not made known to me while booking online. Had I known I would have chosen another hotel. It may be a perfectly fine hotel once the renovations are done, but it should be made clear to guests before arriving that the renovations are underway. July 9, 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by An Unusual Holiday Inn Disappointment First off, there was no mention of this hotel being under renovation on the IHG Holiday Inn website. If there was, I would've booked elsewhere, as it was not the cheapest room available. So I was disappointed to see the construction going on. After finally following the sings to find the "front desk" and checking in, I went to my room. I was again dismayed to see used, wet towels on the floor of the bathroom. When I went down to smoke, I notified the front desk about it. I waited back in my room for a while, but no one came. I called down to the front desk to remind them, and finally, housekeeping came to pick up the old towels and give me fresh ones. Overall, it was an unusually disappointing stay at a brand I have come to know and trust. Very disappointing. July 6, 2015

That being said, the pool is closed, the majority of rooms are unavailable, and the ones that remain are in terrible shape. The room I stayed in had stained carpeting and crumbling ceilings, I definitely do not recommend. June 29, 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Expected Much More Given the location of this hotel, I expected it to be "nice". Given the nature of our trip (last minute trip due to a funeral), I didn't have the time or the energy to change my reservation after our arrival; however, under different circumstances I would have. I was traveling with my 2 young children, which made the discomforts of the experience even more challenging for me. My concerns: This hotel is in the midst of significant construction -- to the point that it's uncomfortable moving about the common areas of the hotel. I can understand the business decision to keep the hotel operational during this transition, but as a guest it felt like we were in a space that really should have just been closed during the renovation. When I entered my room, it smelled stuffy and like stale smoke. So much so, that I called the front desk to ask if our room was smoking room or on a smoking floor. She reassured me that it was not, so I left it alone. But it definitely smelled as if it was a smoking room at some point in recent history. Our room was on the second floor... and we had a view of the scaffolding and the window lifts that were "parked". While work was not done during the weekend, you can only imagine how startled I was when I pulled the window open Monday morning to see 2 construction workers just outside my window! Cleanliness - I think that the room was as clean as it could be, but it was very apparent why it is being renovated. The carpet was worn and stained. My son saw a small dead bug in the refrigerator. (We also didn't have a microwave in our room... though my sister-in-law who also stayed there had one). Our sink didn't have a stopper for the drain - which for my family was actually quite an inconvenience. Ultimately, this hotel will probably be nice AFTER the renovations are completed... but right now, it's not a place that I would ever return to or recommend. I booked this hotel for my sister-in-law, and honestly felt bad that I had them stay there. I've stayed at Holiday Inns before for personal trips and my husband also stays for business trip... but this was by far one of my worst experiences. *it's worth noting that the staff (at registration desk and housekeeping) did their very best. They were friendly and kind, which I appreciated.* June 26, 2015

The clerk behind the desk complied quickly by changing the previously assigned room! She was very efficient and asked if there was anything else I needed. June 26, 2015
