Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Concern with the Holiday Inn's Staff The staff was not really friendly. The front desk staff was often curt, short, or it seemed as if one was asking too many questions. One associate - I believe Steve or Steven - was rude and just not friendly or nice. TV - did not work. Would not "receive a signal". Toilet seat was broken. Internet would NOT work or was very, very slow. In most cases during my two days - Internet would not work. December 17, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely stay at this hotel We had two rooms at the Holiday Inn Rockland. Tthe rooms were very Nice and clean. The staff are friendly and very courteous. Collin and the two brothers that work front desk, they are the best customer service rep ever. Very professional, friendly and nice. I would recommend this hotel anytime, and we are planning to go back. Only thing the town does not have much to offer for entertainment for adults and children. November 29, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CLEAN, COMFORTABLE AND GREAT SERVICE We stayed here over the Thanksgiving weekend. The room was clean the staff and service were great. Would highly recommend. November 28, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Millions invested - but? I know this facility has been through a recent major upgrade. It is too bad they do not seem to be maintaining it. The hotel has upside potential. The bar is a waste. Service is good but no one goes there. Do something to bring in some people. I walk accross the street just to hear some voices. Workout room - 2 of 6 machines are broken or unsafe and have been that way over my multiple stays. TV remote missing - minor. Two TV stations in workout room??? November 21, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Colio Inc interview Excellent Kick Off cafe staff. Arrived late near cafe closing but allowed to eat with excellent waitress. Next morning same overly helpful waitress staff. Breakfast buffet broke down early but allowed to participate in buffet with all the attributes. Excellent bed and pillows.... Motel/Hotel outdated in lobby and carpet... Needs updating... Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Needs updating I stayed this last Monday evening, showing up around 7:30p. Right from the start, I had problems. First I get locked out of my room, not by my doing, but the door card reader quite working. I went to the front desk, and after about 10 minutes of trying to find the maintenance guy, they can't find the machine to fix the door. About 30 to 40 minutes later, they finally get the door open. I missed a webinar I was to be on due to this. Next, I see a lady bug flying around the room, which is normally not a problem, until I saw about 5 more flying around the room. I go into the bathroom, and there were 3 more in the tub. A bug is a bug, not what I signed up for. I travel monthly on business, and usually stay at IHG properties. I chose your location because it was outside the city, and on the way to Provincetown. I am quite disappointed with this property - you really need to update EVERYTHING. October 21, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Wedding Couples TAKE NOTE My son was to be married in Hingham MA on Oct 6. We used the Holiday Inn/Rockland MA as our official wedding hotel , booking close to 40 rooms. The day before the wedding, my son's future bride had her luggage moved to a " safe" " holding "" room while her room was being readied. After returning to the hotel after the rehearsal dinner, she retrieved her items to her room. It was then that she noticed her wedding shoes were missing. She went downstairs to counter to check this safe room ( which we were told could be used for guests if their rooms were not yet available) She was told the general manager had left for the day and she was the only one with a key. The room was locked up No one would assist her and the manager was not due back until the next morning ... the day of the wedding. Staff of the hotel were less than sympathetic to her situation. She was told by staff members that no way were the shoes in that room. She spend entire night stressed and in tears. The next morning, guess what, the shoes were in that room when the manager finally arrived. Imagine if guests left their luggage in that room and went to the wedding... the room would have been locked and no one had a key... supposedly Can you imagine if you were the bride ?
