Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Misrepresented We wanted a room for our family of four that was close to Pico Mountain. I requested a king room, but we ended up in a two-doubles room. I asked for a change, and was told that they were sold out of king rooms. Additionally, we were really looking forward to using the hot tubs following a couple of VERY cold days of skiing (a high of 12 degrees on the mountain). To our surprise, both hot tubs were under construction. The pool area was so cold, that we couldn't even use the pool. That was probably a good thing, because the pool water was so cloudy you couldn't see the bottom of a five foot deep pool! When I complained at the front desk, they apologized and said they experienced a roof collapse due to the snow. I understand they can't control the weather, but they should have notified us when we booked the room. They told us that the information was posted on their website, but I didn't see it at the time of booking, or now...two days after we returned. I will be contacting the IHG Gold Rewards program to complain about these issues. Finally, when checking in, there was a section of the counter for check-in by IHG Gold Elite members, but it was not staffed. There were multiple parties checking in at the two open registers, and the staff on duty didn't acknowledge my presence at the Gold Elite area. February 22, 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Check for Construction first We reserved this hotel due the two hot tubs and pool area. We arrived and went down to the pool only to find both hot tubs were under construction and the pool area was freezing. Pool was cloudy and not that warm. They did turn the heat back on but it didn't matter unless you stayed by the return. The heater in our room sounded like a freight train going through every 20 minutes. The staff was very pleasant and may have been newly employed and didn't know about the pool area when we arrived because they never mentioned they were under construction. The hotel does have a wonderful breakfast and the lounge was very comfortable and reasonably priced. The staff was very pleasant. I have stayed at other Holiday Inns and I'm sure the hotel is not always under construction, I would just suggest to check first. February 19, 2015
