I liked the water feature in the lobby. The lobby is also very open and roomy. Staff friendly and helpful. We checked in to an end unit that was hot and requested to be moved. No problem! we were happy. The exercise room was good and convenient.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Dan5842 I Expected More from Holiday Inn
We travel to Sheridan quite a bit. This time we opted to stay at the Holiday Inn. We checked in late, around 11pm. At check in, I was not given the type of room agreed on when making reservations over the phone, the clerk reassigned us but we still didn't get the room we expected and sure didn't need the hassle after driving 16hrs non stop.
No warm welcome with snack and drink. The Hotel lobby is spectacular, but the rooms are very dated. Plain and extremely small. Not as expected. There was no refrigerator/microwave in the room (as promised during phone call), we had to call and ask for one to be delivered and installed, again, not very happy after 16hrs on the road. Bed was very comfortable, but the promised mountain view could only be had if I pressed my nose on the window and looked to the right, otherwise I had a view of the parking lot. No newspaper, no complementary breakfast, pool closed at 11 so we couldn't even take a quick dip or use the hot tub to relax before sleeping. To top it off, we were overcharged on the bill when checking out and had to have the desk revise and issue a corrected receipt.
I had eaten in this hotel's restaurant many times and the food is fantastic and has a great setting with tall ceiling and indoor waterfall. Because of the good food and beautiful lobby/dining area I guess I just expected more when staying there.
In contrast, after leaving Sheridan, our next hotel was fantastic On check in, we were greeted with warm fresh baked cookies, coffee/tea, and ice cold Mint or lemon water. The pool and spa was larger than Sheridan, and was open 24hrs so we were able to use the facilities any time we wanted. The Internet was super fast, the room was twice as large and had updated furniture. in the morning a free newspaper was left at our door. We were treated to a great Free buffet breakfast, there was something for everyone. Staff was super friendly and helpful too. All this for $40 less than we paid at the Sheridan Holiday Inn. Now THAT was value.
There are many new hotels in the Sheridan area, so lots of choices. Next time we'll probably be staying elsewhere .

This was by far the best hotel for the money! We did a lot of traveling in one weekend for a Wedding being held near Sheridan. Myself and my granddaughter loved the commons area with water fall. So very inviting and friendly. Will definitely stay again.
