Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed but dirty pool The lobby appearance is wonderful. Beds are very comfortable. Our air conditioner was not working right. It was hardly comfortable til late at night. Upon checkout I told front desk and they said we should have told them because sometimes they turn off the compressor til room is rented. Would have liked to known that at Check in. The pool was OK when we arrived but the next morning it had a haze over the top with filth and also saw some hair floating. Had to make the kids get out and shower. Yuck. August 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed and great service. Great place to stay. Everything was very clean and neat. We ate breakfast in the restaurant the next morning and the food was delicious. The waiter we had was very courteous and made us feel welcome. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good night's rest. August 14, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Needs updating The 2 rooms we had are in need of updates . Wall paint carpet Not quite what I have come to expect from IHG. Parents room had a stain in the entrance. Had to have the toilet repaired and smoke detector reattached. Walls needed fresh paint vents dusty. Just really disappointed me. August 5, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not a good stay at all The room was hot,the lobby was even hotter and the restrooms located in the lobby smelled very bad. No staff was there to clean up the restrooms. Someone threw up in the ladies restroom on saturday night and it was still there sunday morning when I checked out. Again, the lobby was hot so believe me when I say" by Sunday mornign you could not walk pass the ladies room". The free breakfast was a joke. The food was cold, I waited about 15 mins on fresh food, staff never did come out with any food, staff said they only have one cook and there were too many events going on this weekend to keep up. My family had to leave and buy breakfast each morning, but the free breakfast was included in my package. July 31, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just a stop on our way home... We were returning from a road trip & decided to stop here for the night. We checked in kinda late but Amanda was still able to meet our needs with our rooms: 1. we (family of 4) would like to be on the same floor together - she said no problem 2. (& this was a problem, or so we thought) we were traveling with dogs - she said no problem! Whew! What a relief after being on the road for 10 hours it was so nice to walk in & have them say "Sure we can do that!" After we checked in we went down to the hotel restaurant to grab some food & Amanda checked with us as we passed by to make sure everything was to our liking. We casually mentioned that we would like another blanket & she said she'd have one sent up. So we went & ate at the restaurant; where I had the best chicken alfredo I've ever eaten, & as we were leaving she stopped us & said she'd have the blanket sent up to our room now if that was okay with us. Now, this is where her customer service went above & beyond! We told her we had to grab a few things out of the car & then we'll be up to the room & she said "No problem I'll have it there after you're done" & sure enough it was! Not only was it delivered to our room in a timely manner; it was warm like it had been taken right out of the dryer. Lastly, when we were checking out of our room the next morning both Amanda & TK wanted to make sure we had enjoyed our stay. I have never stayed at a hotel where they made sure at every opportunity that the guests were happy. We'll definitely be back next year as we are passing through! July 30, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not so hot We arrived late at night. Service was ok. Initially it seemed ok. It was older but a neat atmosphere. Then we got to our room and the carpet was dirty, trash on the floor and the towels were dirty. Being a platinum member we are usually welcomed and asked about our experience and that didn't happen. The place has potential because it is older and unique but there just needs to be more attention to detail and service. July 28, 2014

Please put in a waffle machine for breakfast please. The ambiance of the exterior brings you to a high, however when you walk inside you began to fall. The fall doesn't slow down when you step onto the elevator either.. July 25, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable room and slept like a baby. The stay at the hotel was great. On the arrival at the hotel, I was immediately greeted by the staff. The staff were helpful and asked if there were anything they could do to make my stay enjoyable. As I walked through the halls, the staff greeted me with a smile. The greeting made me feel welcome,since I was alone. During lunch, the staff were friendly adding a smile. The staff were helpful and did what ever was necessary to make my stay pleasant. As I stated before in the comments section, my wife and I, my two grown children and my three grandchildren were in Shreveport for a T-Ball tournament. Some of the games ended later in the evenings, so the ballplayers didn't return to the hotel untill 9:00PM. The pool generally closes at 10:00PM. Upon request from the parents, the hotel manager allowed our ball team to stay in the pool later than 10:00. This was a very nice gesture from the Hotel Management and went a long way in making our stay more enjoyable. It's these types of gestures that sets the Holiday Inn chain apart from their competition. Thanks, and keep up the good work. We will be back!!! July 9, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Musty Smell/AC Probs Check in took awhile, was with softball team.Front desk staff friendly. Upon entering room on 4th floor there was strong musty smell causing sinus issues.Room was nice and cold on hot summer day.AC above entry dripping water onto carpet.Carpet was soaked near bath door.Asked to change rooms. Moved across the hotel and down one floor.Same issue in the new room but this one was not as cool upon entry.Took awhile to cool off but never got as cold as other.Room just as musty with AC dripping issue.Older bldg.AC units definitely older, the thermostats look like they're from the 70's.Water spots on ceiling tiles just under AC unit.Bed was soft and comfy.Both rooms were clean aside from carpet issues.Next morn took stairs to avoid the slow elevator.Huge water accumulation on landing between 2nd & 1st floor.I spoke with the mgr, Jud, today.This was from a blown seal on the circulation pump 3 floors up.The water from that room did not flow to the drain in the room hence causing this issue.Was assured that the pump repairs were underway.Also told each room had drip pans under the AC units and vibration causes them to move resulting in the dripping on the carpet.There were no drip pans under the pipes running to the AC above head, near bath door in entryway that were dripping.Told rooms ozoned. & carpet dry.Room comped & points given for trouble.Hotel in dire need of new AC units/thermostats, at least pipe repair to AC, otherwise tile the room entryways to avoid musty smell from constant wet carpet.Will stay once more to determine if that is last time to visit property or not.Did not have chance to visit pool.Bfast at cost to guest, that typically is a breaking point for me if a hotel provides complimetary bfast, but we were staying with the softball team, otherwise I would've chosen a hotel with comp bfast. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Rooms, pool, and service I enjoyed my stay at Holiday Inn express. The rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable. The hotel staff was very friendly and there to help as needed. The kids loved the pool that flowed inside and outside, as well as the 1ft pool for little kids that maybe ages 2 and 3. Very quiet and well kept up hotel. The internet service could be a little better, but i has my internet service and the thermostat for the airconditioner could be updated. June 11, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable and quiet We stayed here for a 1 night stay to just get away. The room was clean, quite, spacious, and the bed comfortable. We wanted to watch PPV, but they did not have that option. In order to see at night we leave the light on in the bathroom and leave the door cracked a tad bit. The light switch overheated and started to turn on and off. Once we turned the light off we had no other problems. June 11, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Spotty internate not the cleanest room Stayed after a long week on business. Last hotel of the trip. No internet so could not complete business. Door to room did not close completely and the bathroom was not very clean. TV did not work when first got to room and had to call maitenance. He came in and moved some wires around to get it working. Staff was great and friendly but not very many people. June 2, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely welcome We had such a wonderful welcome from the reception, who helped us locate our luggage which had been lost by United Airlines, and organised for us to go to Walmart to get things we needed whilst our bags were located. They were professional and informative and warm. I would say they made a very special effort to ensure our stay was the most comfortable and stress free. The room was lovely and the coffee in the room was TOP NOTCH - the best I've ever found in a holiday inn (the packets of holiday inn coffee that is usually offered is undrinkable, at this hotel they offer proper coffee in your rooms!) I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay a great one May 23, 2014
