We spent the night there after our wedding ceremony, just because we didn't really want to be home that evening. It was nice and comfortable, I wanted to take the air conditioner in the room, home with me. Very comfy beds, made for a great sleep.

We stayed at the holiday inn in st johns with our baby boy. The hotel staff was very kind and understanding when we had to call up for new sheets and bedding multiple times because our baby got sick. They were doing some pretty big renovations during our stay and I can honestly say I barely even noticed. There wasn't any construction sounds and the only reason I knew there was construction at all was because there were some signs. East side Mario's was the room service provider and all of the meals I had were delicious. Overall, the price of the hotel and room service seemed fair and reasonable in comparison to other accommodations in the area.

Centrally located for convenient access to the sights and shopping restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff.
The supper at EastSide Marios was great but the breakfast was substandard. The restaurant did comp us the breakfast.

We were very happy with the rooms and restaurant. Shortly after arriving my Father got quite ill. The staff were overly helpful with our surprise situation. I cant thank them enough for the help!

Have not stayed here for many years, and was very impressed with the upgrades and improvements. As with all of St. John's, however, the prices are too high.

Overall an oustanding hotel. Check-in and check-out were lighting fast. Front desk staff was exceptional. Room was awesome! Comfortable bed and a very nice sitting area. Only negative was slow breakfast service. Waited 20 minutes to get my bill. Thankfully, my ride was running late. Other than that minor issue, I had a wonderful stay. Thank you!

This is my besy hotel in St. John's, I stay because of it is pet freindly and it has Eastside Mario's.
I am little disappointed lately that they have decided to change the hours of the Resturant & Bar as a traveller that some times arrives late it was one of main reason to stay here as you could get food late as well as bar service---now that has changed with shorter hours for kitchen service as well as bar service. This will impact the number of times I continue to stay here.

The reason i stay at the holiday in is because , when i am in the city for work meetings i have to travel at least 10 to 12 hours to get there and they provide a quiet ,comfortable and most of all a safe haven for me when i get there . After a great night sleep i feel refreshed and able to perform at my meetings . The staff are AWESOME .I would recommend this hotel to everyone .

I would like to thank the staff and management team of this hotel for making my stay as a memorable one. Even though the weather was very cold but the stay was very warm. Very clean room, smiling staff at the reception was always willing to help. Keep up the good work.

We were affected with the province wide power outages and blizzard and glad to find a warm place to stay with Holiday Inn St. John's. The few staff that were on hand, we're amazing and took care of everyone.

This is an old and tired property, definitely in need of major updating and renovations. The rooms are small with very little closet space. The bathrooms are tiny, with the sink outside. The shower was actually pretty good. The in-room wired internet worked pretty good, the wireless was not so good (our room was the last one on a very long corridor, so likely out of range).
The wind howls through the old windows and the little window HVAC units are noisy and have very little affect. There is a useless small balcony which is just a waste of space (old Holiday Inn design) and adds an exterior cold door. There is no indoor pool. You will get charged for out-going calls from your room phone.
The hotel staff seem friendly enough, but seem to be hand-cuffed by what they have to work with. Seemed to have limited options for upgrades for IHG Rewards members.
The restaurant (East Side Mario's) is fine if you want a large meal, but has limited offerings for anyone looking for a light dinner at a reasonable price. Didn't try them for breakfast or lunch.
There are better hotels in better locations. This hotel is close to the airport and confederation building, but that's about it. We usually stay down-town, but chose this Holiday Inn to redeem some points. Not a good choice for us.
I suggest that the owners tear down this old hulk and build a modern hotel. The property appears to be in a valuable location, but the building itself is out dated.

Have been staying here a lot last couple of years. It is an average hotel. Not a bad choice for business. The perks of being a gold or platinum member in this hotel doesn't stack up to hotels in the same chain.

After 2 attempts over a period of time there has been no change to my concerns.
On my last visit this place:
-dirty remote control
-3 hangers in my room
-noisy heater unit
-loud party going on over many spots in the hotel (you would think knowing there was an event going on the hotel would have put all those people on 1 floor on at least have them all in the same part of the hotel
-had to ask for a bed sheet change after 4 days
-after making a complaint several months ago and told I would receive a survey to fill out I have not received one since. I find this very ironic as I travel a lot and typically stay in HI's and receive surveys from the other hotels
-as a platinum member I most always never get an upgrade and have to ask if I can be. Most of the time they are not able to upgrade me

No breakfast included and the local restaurant is ESM. Average, fast food. Tv channels take forever to change. Noisy rooms. I stayed there for the points but next time i will try amother place? Vending machines give it a motel feel.

My most recent 4 night stay was quite comfortable with ease of check in, good room location. Room service and housekeeping and maintenance staff were very helpful, efficient and professional. The room facilities are quite adequate. I enjoyed my stay very much.

this room is on the ground floor just out side were every one goes to smoke and shoot the breezes,if you like lots of second hand smoke stay there if you like to hear people talk stay there.
the furniture in the room is well used and old.
the food at the adjoining restaurant (East Side Marios) is over priced luke warm when you get it.
I have stayed in other Holidays Inn express and in my mine a bigger bang for your buck,I will not be back.
