Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by holiday Inn Yorkdale Even though I just stayed the one night and came in around 6 pm and left early at 7 am, I truly enjoyed my stay at this Holiday Inn. Upon arriving, I was welcomed by the front desk person with a nice smile and then she proceeded to register me for the room and gave me a care package which included a bottle of water, a snack bar and a bag of potato chips. Also available was nice red apples for the taking which was in my view a nice approach to welcoming the customer. My room was spacious, quiet and clean and I was placed on the Club Room floor which I truly appreciated. I had a nice evening in my room doing some of my computer work and reading articles while being able to watch the TV. All night the place was very quiet and I was able to have a great night sleep. In the morning I proceeded to leave and check out where the service was again very helpful and they enquired how my night was. I would certainly recommend to other people to plan on staying at this hotel in the future. Thank you for the chance to respond on how my stay went. March 9, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Children 12 and under DON"T eat free anf if they do you will wait 1-2 hrs The restaurant was rude and declined free kids meals. The elevators have been broken at all 3 visits that I have experienced at the hotel. I will not be returning nor will our basketball association since I do all of the bookings. All parents mentioned the slow service in the restaurant, but only if you were accompanied with your child. Our adult parties had no problems. March 3, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful Kid-Friendly Hotel, Near Large Shopping Mall My family and I were very pleased with our recent stay at the Holiday Inn - Yorkdale property in Toronto. We came to celebrate our 10th anniversary and brought the kids along. The staff was very professional and helpful (thanks, Crystal !!!) and the facilities were clean and well-maintained. The breakfast buffet was a bit pricey, but the freshness and selection of foods more than made up for it, especially after factoring in that the kids eat for free. We will certainly stop back for another stay at this vacationer-friendly hotel to enjoy the pool, hot tub, kids hut, ping-pong, and "indoor tennis." We spent some quality family time together here and had a very relaxing weekend. Thank you! February 21, 2013

We went down to the restaurant for dinner and had a terrible experience. They were very slow and if we wanted something we had to hunt down either the server or the useless manager... A very amateur business that was not cheap. Definitely made the experience less enjoyable. February 15, 2013

I always stay at this Holiday Inn because it is right on highway 401 so I can move around easily. The hotel itself is not new, but the staff is great and the breakfast is one of the best in Toronto. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel I stay here on business frequently. Always a nice experience, very convenient to have Yorkdale Mall across the street. My last trip here I was in the East Tower, which appears to be older than the West Tower. I normally get the Club floor in the West Tower, but it is being remodeled. Things that could be improved? Vent fans in the bathrooms. A small refrigerator and microwave in the room. A way to make hot water for tea without the coffee taste. February 7, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by "The extras" We have stayed at the Yorkdale Holiday Inn on many occasions. Our last visit at the end of December 2012 was also enjoyable and pleasant. Unfortunately we left a few small items in our room after checking out. We realized later that day and called the Holiday Inn. Indeed housekeeping had found the items and the hotel offered to send them to us. A couple of weeks later they arrived by Canada Post. We really appreciate the service and hospitality that is standard at this hotel. February 2, 2013

The rooms are always spotless and the food is excellent. The location is ideal for shopping and dining given its location next to one of Toronto's largest shopping malls. One of the best! Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by very noisy because we were overlooking play pool area there was a boys floor hockey tournament in town and at least 30 boys were haveing a blast until the lights went out at 10 Oclock. Boys will be boys and they were having fun. That is the bottom line. I understand. We would like to come back agin for a quiter stay. We live in Kitchener and her hotel was a perfect location. it was not the boys fault. They are kids. January 25, 2013

You know you are a regular when the girls greet you with " Welcome home ! " The only thing I would like to see changed is the breakfast buffet. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by was disappointed this time around this is the only place we stay in toronto. a lot of things went wrong this time. poor soundproofing, got stuck in elevator, had to change rooms due to horrible smell, overcharged parking, rooms in east wing and hallways really need renovation, not recognized as priority club member at all, and am platinum. very disappointed, have been here so many times and it was always great. we really love the location. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Enjoyed our stay We stayed at the hotel for a week and while we were not there much during the day it was very nice to come back to in the evening. The bed was very comfy and our room was quiet so we slept very well. Enjoyed the great breakfast every morning. Our waitress,(Vesna) was excellent. The fellow from the maintenance dept who tried to start our suv was really most helpful. Also the pizza is really good. We would definetly recommed this hotel and would stay again. November 9, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Room This was the first time that I was given a room in the east tower. I must say that it wasn't as quiet and relaxing as when I have stayed in the West Tower. I will definitely request the the West Tower from this point on. I was surprised to be given an East Tower room as I thought that Priority Club members were given West Tower Rooms. The Yorkdale Holiday inn is definitely my preferred Toronto Hotel, but this most recent visit was just not up to the excellent standard that I have been use to. October 24, 2012

We left a wake-up call for 7 AM & did not get it until after 8AM. The quality of food at the buffet was not like it was in the past. Elevator service, which used to be almost instantaneous, was quite slow.Finally, the general appearance indicated that the hotel was showing its age. October 20, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great place bad billing!!! so we really enjoyed our stay there, but we got billed for a pending transaction as well as the cost of the room, PLUS someone else's breakfasts!!!! firstly we have never booked a room before where we had both the pending and the actual transaction held against us. when i spoke to management they explained to me the room is placed under a pending transaction then when check out happens it gets closed and the bill processed..that being said to me it looks like they didnt close the pending transaction and did it as a new transaction. so the story...from them its visa's placed a hold on the pending transaction...Visa's story..why would we hold your money? and the hotel should have closed the pending transaction. so not oonly did we get billed for breakfasts we werent even there for we now have this pending charge on my low limit visa..which has it sitting over the edge...... basically we had a wonderful counter person try to help us to be transferred to management to get a polite "sorry this has happened to you" will we go back????????????????? highly unlikely!!! i was about to write on the Scotia Waterfront Run page about the great stay we had, and next year how maybe one of the over 20,000 people attending may consider this hotel as it wasnt too far a drive to the run, but not after these billing issues. we have stayed at other hotels and NEVER had this kind of an issue, so why would i go back somewhere that caused a headache??? andif i didnt take the time to look at my visa bill versus the receipt the hotel issued me i would never have noticed, makes me wonder how ofter the billing to wrong rooms take place.
