Nice staff and nice hotel, but they do not serve lunch. If you want to eat after breakfast or before dinner you must leave the property. Not very many restaurants are close by.

Our check-in began with a heart-felt welcome from Maegyn, made us feel very (at home). Greeted as Priority member, upgraded, and all in a timely manner. We were tired so didn't want to drive out to eat, we ate in the hotel restaurant. Had some trouble with the timing of our order, but Chad came over to our table and made the situation correct. This is the way a professional handles things! The food was good and staff incredible! Thank y'all!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Melissa99 Most incredible and beautiful swimming pool!!!!!!!!!
I've stayed here twice now. After staying in June and swimming in that gorgeous pool, I knew when I had to work in Tucson again I would be staying here at this Holiday Inn. It is a very unique property, and has a beautiful waterfall in the lobby area. It seems like it would be nice to attend a conference here.
But my favorite part is that swimming pool surrounded by seven palm trees and the hot tub. It was quite unique to see a hotel property with such lush vegetation around their pool, especially it being so well established.
The bed I slept in was ridiculously comfortable, and even though I was near an elevator, I did not hear it. They must have had the dinger on the elevator turned off or just very quiet.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Falamosa Just OK...
Let's begin with the pros:
The hotel is conveniently located and easily accessible from I-10.
Large, well-lit parking lot. It has got a bar and the food, although nothing special is good.
The staff is nice.
Overall, room is clean and comfortable.
The cons:
The room building is separated from the lobby... So it feels very impersonal and even though you can only enter said building with your house key, I still didn't feel quite safe.
On my floor someone had the bright idea to put the lobby console table halfway into the elevator, whose doors kept opening and shutting endlessly, as I could hear from my room...I finally got out and fixed the problem... Wonder where security was...
The housekeeping was not very thorough... I stayed 4 nights and unfortunately so did a couple items which had "missed" the bathroom trashcan the first night and therefore remained on the floor...
Hallways and lobbies in the rooms building have seen better days... Someone got their hand on mustard yellow paint... and it doesn't even go with the tile...
The ice machine was out of order my entire stay...
The towels were the size of a postage stamp and as soft as sanding paper...

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by AuntyZan1 Convenient location, but not soundproof enough!
Hotel was nice & clean; bed was comfy and although you had a choice between soft and firm pillows, they felt exactly the same and were too big and fat (for me). Although clean, I felt the bathroom needed renovation. A big negative is that this location is very close to a train track; which they don't mention in their adverstising of course, and sadly you can hear every single train that went by as it blew its horn; there were 5 trains during the one night that we stayed there and you got woken up by every one of them. Our room faced the highway and we could also hear vehicle noise and people in the parking lot. They really need to put in soundproof windows. The air conditioner was so loud that it blocked out the noise from outside, except the train noise, and we had to turn up the television volume to compensate. On a positive note, the check-in staff were friendly and provided us with a list of restaurants close by. Although the food in their lounge looked good, we chose a steak house down the road. For this being a Holiday-Inn Express, we were very disappointed.

The staff was very kind and friendly. Room was very clean, usual hotel mattress, but a nice topper on it.
VERY quiet, just what I want.
All the restaurant food was delicious, and I am very picky.

My stay at this location is always wonderful. My only complaint would be the bath towels, they are not up to the great standards that Holiday Inns are known for and that repeat customers grow to expect. Please get better towels, even your staff brings in their own towels from home when they need to stay over.

The whole experience was great, staff did an excellent job and were great people. Being pleasant at check in, to providing information about things to see and do in the area with good service in the restaurant. Pool area was clean and well taken care of. Overall stay for the week was great.

Loved staying here for business. All of the staff were there to make me feel welcome. They went out of their way to be helpful, even had coffee ready when I checked out at 4:00 a.m. to go to the airport. Food was very good in the restaurant. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

This property is only a 2.5 star level. It is not up to the standards of other Holiday Inns.
In addition our room was noisy from Palo Verde Blvd.

I travel often from the east coast to the west coast. This is by far one of my favorite stops. The staff is awesome. The bar is a great place to stop and unwind. I'll stop there ever time I travel to the west coast.

Front end customer service was excellent. Offered rewards priority club, gave good detailed information of facilities and restaurants available to customers, and use of the internet. Room service was on a daily basis. Beds were very comfortable and clean.

Got the feeling I accessed a factory instead of a warm hotel ,
Breakfast buffet was great , but staff , as in the complete building , was not that friendly .. like I mentioned , a factory where everyone knows his place , and knows when to smile ,
prefer just small hotel , with " REAL" friendly service in stead of the imposed smile on staff's faces !

I pricelined my room but then had to check in very early (9am) due to my ride having to drive to LAX for a flight. The check-in staffer allowed me to get my room straightaway! Much appreciated as I was prepared to wait it out in the lobby with my computer.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Nothappy1 You get what you pay for!
We arrived at 3 pm for check in and there were absolutely NO rooms available; we were told it would be at least an hour before one would be available. We planned on resting a bit before having to get ready for a wedding; and were therefore unable to relax beforehand. The lobby was filled with people waiting for rooms and I needed to give my elderly mother her meds for cancer treatment, check her glucose level and give her an insulin shot which could not be done in a public bathroom for sanitary reasons; much less in the lobby in public view. Staff at front-desk and manager were not sympathetic and were not concerned for my mother's medical needs, as I was just told to check back later for availability. We did not find the beds comfortable; rooms smelled musty as did elevators; hotel rooms are run down; and the bar closed at 11 pm on a Saturday. Will NOT be returning ...spend your money elsewhere!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Jim3687 Morning breakfast buffet
Not the best buffet, the eggs were dry, hard and crusty on the bottom, and the breakfast potatos were also very dry. Should have ordered off the menu so it would be fresh. Have not had this at any other Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn Express.
The staff at the front desk was fantastic as well as in the bar at night.

Stayed at this hotel 10-17 thru 10-19. Train noise at 3 to 5AM you won't need an alarm clock. Rooms facing the street are so bad from traffic noise all night the only way you will get sleep is to bring sleeping pills.

We loved being able to leave our car in the parking lot knowing it would be safe while we were away for a week. The shuttle and rooms at both ends of our trip were a bonus. But most importantly, I have rarely had so much friendliness from everyone on the hotel staff, from the housekeepers, to drivers, to the front desk. We will definitely make a return visit.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Patticake overall stay
The rooms were comfortable and clean. The lobby is very nice and so were the people that checked me in. Was great that we had a shuttle take us to the Beefest and get us back. Went to the dining area. That needs improvement. The service was very slow. The beerfest was that weekend and a wedding was going on. With that info they should have planned ahead prepared for it. They were busy but it wasn't like overwhelming and we never got a drink nor a menu. The waitresses were rude and acted like we were bothering them. We had to go down the road to eat.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by HopHeads Housekeeping staff needs some work
We stayed at this hotel over the weekend because it was one of the host hotels for the Great Tucson Beer Festival.
We called ahead the day of our arrival to find out if we could check in early and they said no problem as long as they had clean rooms available.. The front desk rep was very friendly and informed us about the shuttle options to the event.
The manager came up at that point to snap at the girl for giving us the wrong information about the shuttle (apparently it had changed that morning). She was very rude to the girl even after we tried to assure her that it was fine, no harm came of it. She ignored us and walked off. Very unprofessional to treat your staff like that, especially in front of customers.
The room itself was fine. Unlike the exterior of the hotel and lobby, the room didn't look dated. Everything worked fine.
The day after the beer festival, we were woken up at 8:57am by housekeeping knocking on our door and trying to open the door (we had it locked#. I called the front desk and asked them to please tell housekeeping to leave us alone since check-out wasn't until Noon and they woke us up. They said they would let them know. Well, 10:45am rolls around and they are back knocking at our door.
What is wrong with the housekeeping service? Before 9am is rude - people are still sleeping at 9am #especially after a beer festival the night before).
Besides the housekeeping staff issue and the manager's unprofessional treatment of the staff, it was a good stay.

Hotel Staff was Great! They had a really Cute Priority Club welcome bag upon arrival. Manager left a special message on the phone to have a great stay. Only down side, dinner at the resturant was less than great. I would recommend using this hotel, however skip eating at the lounge resturant.
