Heating didn't work. No remote for the TV so that didn't work either. Duty Manager did her best to help for 30 minutes or so and then gave up.
I emailed the General Manager the morning after, never heard back from him. Never seen him in his office, either, although I have stayed there many times. Not sure he really exists.
WiFi is the slowest in the world as well.

I frequently stay at this Holiday Inn and will continue to do so due to the excellent service. The staff are always welcoming and nothing is too much bother.
The restaurant offers a wide range of meals and will make different meals on request. Kirsty, Andrew and the team go out of their way to make sure that an enjoyable stay is had.
The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious, room service is efficient and just as enjoyable as the restaurant.
I would recommend this hotel, and have done to colleagues.

Very thin walls. Outdated interiors. Lots of noise at night. Can hear every person walking outside. Not the best night sleep.
Has a gym and swimming pool. Apparently the restaurant has been updated with new menu. Not tried it. Check in was efficient but robotic. At check out, we complained about thin walls and noises outside. It looked like he wanted to get away from the issue, so quickly apologized and asked if i needed an invoice.
Won't be going back in a hurry. Not recommend it. There is a holiday inn express just across the road. Probably try that.
If you don't mind a disturbed nights sleep but need a fitness center and a swimming pool. Then this is the hotel for you. Or else reconsider.

The hotel was comfortable, clean and of a decent standard but the staff were not welcoming or hospitable. The chap on the front desk refused to check me in 25 minutes before 2pm did not check if a room was ready was ruder than a doorman on a night club and he could see I had luggage no offer to store it or anything. I was left highly disappointed and will not be staying at junction 10 again. I even mentioned I was IHG member and response was doesn't matter poor service.

Every room taken so very busy but check-in was quick. Ample car park spaces. Breakfast was fine. Only down points - clothes' hook#s# missing from inside of bathroom door and bed was quite firm. I have arthritic hip so should have brought my mattress topper!
Overall, I'd definitely stay again.

I was moved from HI M6 Junction 7 to M6 Junction 10, they were fully booked to but as to honour my stay i got a free update to exec room which was just FAB, as i was staying in West Midland for few days I booked myself in again at M6 Jun 10 of course exec room :)
Staff Fab sorted me out :)

This being our third stay at this hotel we would highly recommend. We didn't use the pool or spa but it looked very good as we passed by it. Location for us was excellent, straight of the motorway and close to Walsall and Wolverhampton were we visited family. Our room was a fair size and clean. The only drawback I find but only small is when entering the slip road on the island at junction ten you have to cross a busy road to get to the hotel, here you have to cross a lot of cars waitng at traffic lights who leave no room to cross, maybe the hotel could get on to Walsall council to put something here to help cross.

This was one of the best hotel rooms I have stayed in, well furnished, comfortable bed, really clean. Would recommend to anybody. Warm greeting on arrival from the helpful chap on reception, well done Holiday Inn, a credit to the chain.

Service in restuarant a little slow. if we'd known the children ate free we probably would have eaten there both nights. did the restaurant do breakfasts?Arrangement for sleeping with 2 young children in their own little area (exec suite) was perfect, they had their own tv too! swimming pool open long hours

We had such an awful journey, with the motorway being shut and taking 2 hours to drive 3 miles. We rang the hotel who gave us directions, clear instructions and fantastic help.
Extra pillows were given, heater on when we arrived and a fantastic breakfast :-D

After an horrendous journey getting to the hotel all I wanted was good food, some wine and a goodnight sleep and I got it all. The carvery evening meal is the best value for money ever and I highly recommend this. Just one negative - the towels are incredibly small

Yards away from the motorway at junction 10 walsall but you would never guess.its so quiet. The minute you walk in nothing seems too much trouble .check in was swift and I had assistance with my luggage.after a long journey we decided to dine in and so glad we did .the food was excellent and the staff very friendly.breakfast was very well presented and the staff where equally as pleasant .it was so nice to relax in friendly surroundings and so well looked after.i look forward to returning again.

We decided to stay here overnight with the kids as a treat, the room was spacious and clean, however there were a few bits left on the floor after I'd budged the sofa bed over abit towards the window. I have a toddler so he was bound to find bits left on the floor but probably wouldn't of noticed otherwise. I picked them up myself an put them in the bin. The travel cot didn't have a mattress so was rock hard an the sofa bed mattress was so thin but neither children complained an they both slept all night. We went into the swimming pool and the kids had a great time learning to swim, sauna an jacuzzi was a nice treat for me. Breakfast was lovely an the kids ate free, good selection an the staff were really friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Took the kids to Caburys world & then surprised them with an overnight stay. The half term deal was fantastic value for money.
Check in was quick & easy, the room was nice as well.
The hotel was very quiet as it was a Sunday night & the kids had the swimming pool to themselves which they thought was great.
Lovely breakfast in the morning. All the staff we dealt with were friendly & efficent.
Only bad points were there was a couple of bits of rubbish under the bed & the ceiling in the bathroom was abit grotty- a lick of paint would sort this but these were only minor things & having worked in the hotel trade, we didn't make a fuss.
Anyway, great hotel, great price & really convienent just off the M6

They did'nt tell us that there was no heating in the room, we had to call reception, who then said there had been a problem with the heating, we had to settle for a plug in wall heater, not ideal?? No compensation either, no alternative room, check first before you pay?

We travelled with our teenagers and this room was perfect they had their own area whilst still in the same room as us. we would certainly book this type of room again.

I had an executive room for 3 weeks.
Air conditioning did not work. Room was freezing cold and the only heater supplied was so bright when it was on that no lighting was required. I asked for and was promised a convector heater which could be left on over night but it never arrived. The internet was so slow it took almost 5 minutes just to log on.
The only thing slower than the internet was the bar drinks and food service. Many nights there were 6 or more people waiting for drinks service with one staff behind the bar trying to take drink and food orders.
Occassionally had to wait 1 hour after ordering for food to be delivered.

Arrival and check in is easy and simple. Hotel is well presented and clean. Rooms meet the usual expectations for these hotels and have all you require for a night or two. Restaurant was pleasant but did have to wait a long time between courses which looking at everyone was finding the same issue. Then it all goes a bit wrong. Trying to sleep in this hotel is a nightmare. No pun intended. Every footstep or in our case kids running up and down corridors can be heard and up to 0430 am people crashing and banging in rooms above was a joke. Complained in morning and was told if happened again to call reception who could deal. Did happen again but about 0130am but not for long which was good as only about 2 hours sleep previous night did not have strength to lift the receiver. Really busy hotel so think this would be an issue hence why would not recommend. If we had not got engaged while staying at hotel I would have returned home.

Good value, very comfy suite (executive). I was pleased I had requested a cot (no extra cost) and one was waiting in my room on arrival, but I had assumed all Holiday Inn's would have lifts - this one didn't, so it was a pain carting baby and kit up the stairs.
I then thought I'd pay the extra to get room service to avoid the baby hassle, but I rang twice and no one answered. I guess all the staff were busy - the restaurant was also full, but far food was reasonably priced.
I couldn't find the wired internet connection in the room - the website says it's free, and reception always seemed too busy to ask, even when I was checking out.
Cleanliness was almost perfect, but breakfast let that down, with food from the night before still on the carpet, and tables slow to be cleared.
Overall, worth the stay, but check the fine print and book the restaurant ahead of time.

After booking this hotel on a regular basis, it has come to my attention the lack of support received by staff. As always booking a double room and sometimes being given a twin room where I am told nothing can be done to fix this nor is any money refunded to compensate! Very annoying!

I was very disappointed by this hotel. I booked and a family room, 2 adults 2 children, when we arrived the room was made up for 2 people not 4. One of the tv's had no remote control, the duty manager bought one down to us, but this didn't work. By this time I had 2 very disappointed children, no bed made up for them and their tv not working.
We ate in the hotel and was disappointed with the food. Oil/grease on the pasta dish, I had a burger and the roll was wet from the water left on the salad, not what I expected from a 4 star hotel at all.
Overall, very disappointed and I wouldn't return to this hotel. I reported all of these problems during my stay and the duty manager was very good and tried to sort out what she could, but it makes your stay not relaxing when you have problem after problem.

We arrived late on a Friday night after a long drive. My wife required extra pillows due to back issues, but this was sorted quickly and efficiently by the excellent night manager and his team.
The hotel felt very luxurious and it was a pity we did not have time to check out the leisure club facilities on offer.
Overall we found it to be excellent value for money with great service from all staff we dealt with.

Can not fault the hotel at all. Nicola on reception is an absolute professional. Katie was extremely friendly and helpful. My room was immaculate and very comfortable.
The bar area is welcoming again with some great friendly staff.
Stayed here business and leisure and would recommend both.

I have stopped several times before and have enjoyed the experience BUT
Most of the staff were excellent with john being on form as always. The restaurant waitress' where a mix of superb and untrained which let the side down slightly. The food was much improved with a special that was very good. The tiny Charlotte looked after most tables with aplomb and curtesy that was very soothing.
All in all a pleasant stay that does make you want to come back.
But not to the room I was in with the odd noises from the air con unit!

Staff on reception were and are excellent. Nothing too much trouble and curtious. That can not be said for the restaurant staff.
1. Dispite 4 staff walking past my colleague and I and the restaurant being only 1/4 occupied it took 10mins. to be asked if we were dining.
2. We requested a 4 seat table to which I was told they were busy... 1/4 full at 9pm..., I ask. No additional parties booked .
3. Service slow
4. Drinks spilt on table, phone and paperwork without apology.
5. Plates removed while still eating.
It's a shame this was the case as the hotel itself is good value for money.

I enjoyed my stay the hotel & is a ideal location for the motorway links to work, I would recommend this hotel to my friends in the future.
The reception staff where very helpful upon my arrival & the Night reception guy's where very helpful & informative with their local knowledge helping me arrive at my meeting on time.

We arrived to see that a Wedding reception was taking place.
No issues, checked into our room by a very pleasant lady on reception.
Had a good meal with excellent service from Tammy and Jessie(thank you ladies)
Sat in the lounge for a coffee to have screaming children running around, jumping on chairs all from the wedding.
When we went to bed these children were running upo and down the halls screaming, followed later by drunken adults.
No noise insulation so you hear everything, floor seems to have wood under carpet which creaks loudly, noise from romm above when people walking.
But the children were a nightmare.
Had a terrible nights sleep and wish I hadn't stayed.
I mentioned this on departure, and was told I should have phoned reception. Taking the corridor ran from reception I can't believe that nobody didn't notice.
Stay again .....................never !

We booked the Holiday Inn as it was an ideal location for a wedding and reception party that we were attending in the area. We also felt that the leisure facilities (Pool / Sauna) would act as a good value-add - sadly we didn't get the chance to use.
The key downside I felt was the quality of the premium draught beer on offer - worst pint of Stella I have ever had. The bar area on Saturday evening became quite rowdy which was a surprise and note that no food is served after 10pm which sadly caught me out after a few flat beers!
