Great people, great location, great service, just don't stay here on a Saturday night. The clubbers are out and the noise is deafening until @AM.

The staff at this Holiday Inn are friendly and the location is great to walk to the Waterpark with kids. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
However, my two complaints are: 1. the pool is closed for maintenance and we were not told at booking (there should be a message on the site as well as with the IHG booking staff) and perhaps a discount applied.
2. the parking lot door requires a key-card to access but one does not receive the card until after registering so we had to walk down the ramp (where I slipped on ice) to the main entrance. There are two small spots at ground level to park to register but they are always full (this is my third visit). I understand that security is important but perhaps a buzzer and camera system could be put in place.
I would recommend the Waterpark Adventure package to young families but make sure the front desk does not charge you for overnight parking as the website indicates that it is part of the package.
I like that the room included a microwave and fridge as well as an assortment of comfortable pillows!

Comfortable stay; call ahead to see if pool open and be aware of potential late night disturbances on the main st.

This hotel is in a great location and is walking distance to many pubs and restaurants.
The building is right beside the Windsor-Detroit tunnel entrance. My room was on the side facing the tunnel entrance. Unfortunately due to snowfall the pavement in that area was plowed two nights in a row between the hours of 3AM and 4:30AM. Between the blades scraping on pavement and the back up beepers on the plows, sleep was not possible.
It was not something I would have thought of and neither did it occur to the front desk staff. (They put me there to keep me away from the street noise on the other side of the building.) They were more than happy to move me directly accross the hall (to the street side) for my third night where I did get a good night's sleep.
In months where snow is possible I would recommend staying on the street side of the building and, in non snow months, the tunnel side of the building.

This hotel was just like any other Holiday Inn. It is in a good location which is a pro. I was told parking would be around $6, and the next night when I checked in I had to sign a form allowing Holiday Inn to charge me $15. I was also told the grand total would be around $300, but it ended up being far less which was nice. Bottom line, the staff need to get their information straight!
