Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Needs more elevators The hotel is old and needs more elevators. Depending on your room. you may be forced to carry your luggage up several steps before getting to the elevator. The staff at check-in were disinterested in helping resolve this issue. The parking lot exits were blocked with no explanation forcing guests to go out of their way in order to park. However the staff at breakfast were wonderful and very helpful. The room was clean and everything was in proper working order. June 25, 2014

The facility and room are a little older and you can tell where things have been redone/repainted, but overall was still very nice. The front desk staff was very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast had much more variety than I expected and the service during breakfast was excellent. June 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by June 2014 Stay Our stay at the Holiday Inn in Worthington was very pleasing, the staff were very friendly and the Connections Cafe was a wonderful place to eat. (The breakfast buffet is the best!) Jamie, the manager there was quite helpful in making sure our stay was comfortable and even made sure we had a accessible room as we had requested. I recommend to anyone traveling to a convention at the Greater Columbus Convention Center as it is right down the road, a bit further than the downtown hotels but by far much more peaceable. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable beds great sleep Room was very comfy but a little too chilly. Unfortunately, there was no elevator and being slightly disabled this created a problem. The hall is very long and without an elevator I had to go out of the building and around as I have difficullties with stairs. The staff was very helpful and very pleasant. If I have the opportunity to visit again I will ask for a second level floor ( hotel is a split level) with a single bed. June 11, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Basic - very basic We were in Columbus for a family wedding and the hotel site was chosen by the bride who lives in Columbus. While the hotel was very affordable and was not filthy the upkeep left a lot to be desired. The room décor was dated and the curtains/bed skirt had seen better days. The room was not dirty but once the furniture, decorations, and walls are beyond their lifespan it is hard to make things look clean and neat regardless of how hard one tries. The hotel really needs to be updated/remodeled but, as I said, it was extremely affordable. Visiting the bar was aggravating; the bartender was more interested in what was happening on the television rather than filling the drink orders and the server took our glasses back for our second order so that "new glasses weren't needed to be used." (Not sure how she kept them all straight!) The Sunday buffet was not worth $10 (hard eggs, stale biscuits, runny sausage gravy); there's a First Watch across the street and for $10 you can get a marvelous breakfast. Again, the upside is that it is extremely affordable. June 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Loved it! I had asked for a handicap enabled room. I was extremely pleased with the bathroom!! A small ramp up into the room and a walk-in shower. So very convenient for both me and my husband. We enjoyed the king sized bed as well - neither too hard nor too soft. All of the appliances worked well with a minimum of noise. The restaurant served excellent food - and the wait staff was fun. The only thing I found that needed to be addressed was the lack of Pepsi products. However, as a loyal Holiday Inn customer, I knew the lay of the land and brought my own Pepsi. Overall, a wonderful experience. We will definitely stay there when we go to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium again. June 8, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful accommendations The stay in the hotel was a very pleasant experience and this is the second time I have stayed at this place. Both visit helped make the stress level of my trip less with being in the same hotel as the conference I was attending. Living around 2 hours away from Columbus and needing to attend conferences in a large town as Columbus would be very stressful in driving up that morning and fighting all the traffic to get to a conference. Being able to come up the night before and actually stay at the hotel that is holding the conference was a weight lifted off my shoulders. June 6, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Like staying in an executive suite We were treated like we were important customers the minute we walked in the door. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and eager to answer any questions that we had. I imagine they were pretty stressed since the hotel was full, but they treated us as if we were the most important customers in the world. When we got to the room, we had two queen beds, but they both had 4 pillows each on them (bonus!) and they seemed a lot bigger and were extremely comfortable. I have a lot of trouble falling and staying asleep and not only did I take a nap, I didn't even want to get out of bed the next morning! It actually made me run a little late, so I thought I would at least call the front desk and see if we could get late checkout so we wouldn't be rushed. The woman who answered the phone was very friendly and even called me by name. I asked her about checking out 2 hours later and she said that it wouldn't be a problem at all! It was also nice to have a microwave, a fridge, bath & body works products, a coffee maker and a big TV. I have absolutely no compliants except that we couldn't stay longer! :). Thank you for the great customer service and the wonderful room. We will definitely stay there again, as we come to Columbus frequently. Hold on to your front desk staff, because they are certainly an asset! May 23, 2014

Rooms are very clean and beds are very comfortable, great night sleep. Everyone from checking in til checking out have been very professional and courteous. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 more guests = NO PARKING At check in, the counter clerk was instructing everyone where to park as he assigned rooms. Pull around and go in the 3rd door on the right... HA! pull around and there are ZERO places to park. Walk 500 yards around the building as there are only doors at the end of the hall ways, then squeeze through the smokers AFTER you climb the 17 stairs to get in the door. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Clean room and good food but cold showers and poor thermostat control. The room itself was fine, looked as expected, and seemed clean. We had a hard time regulating the temperature in our room. It was often too cold or too warm despite our adjustments of the thermostat, and we had to keep changing the thermostat to try to maintain a comfortable temperature. The worst part was that after about 10 minutes, the shower was freezing cold and would occasionally cycle from freezing cold to scorching hot. A hotel should not have this kind of water problem. It happened both mornings we were there. The chairs we used for our conference were very uncomfortable to sit in for a full day. The food was good. April 9, 2014

Difficult check in - under trained staff Hotel is huge - hallways are a maze and old and worn out Stairwells dirty Staff drinking in the bar Food in lounge terrible Hallways feel unsafe Hinges bad on room entrance door - had to lift door up to engage the deadbolt. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice quality I do recommend bringing ear plugs, if you are anything but a heavy sleeper, as the room walls are very thin (We could hear what the rooms on either side were watching on TV), and I wasn't thrilled to find hair on my towels, or the dirty kleenex under the curtains, but those issues aside, the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The room service was excellent (first time we've tried room service, but it was extremely affordable!), and the rest of the hotel seemed rather clean and fresh. I loved the decor in the rooms, the yellows and blues were very homey after most hotels have switched to the 'modern' looks of steel and black. We were sad to have to leave when our trip was over, and I'll be booking at this hotel if we're back in the area. April 2, 2014
