Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exceptional Staff Staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The Director of Sales, AJ, went above and beyond his duty to ensure our stay was wonderful. He made sure we had food to take with us on the train as the train left before breakfast was served. He got up and took us to the train station as we left before the shuttle driver started his day. His customer service was beyond exceptional. June 22, 2013

Only location that comfortable was in Lobby area. All other areas warm. Great location for downtown, very nice hotel, just need some A/C. May 23, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Don't say here! This place should not have an HIX franchise. The place is old and dirty. Our room had something on the bathroom floor that I could not wash off, but did get a wash rag full of dirt. A fair size spot was sticky and would not come up. The furniture was dirty and stained. It sould be replaced or at least cleaned. The same goes for the carpet. We only stayed there bcause of Priority Club, and for only one night. May 3, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable bed clean room Thought it was a good hotel, it was clean. I didn't like the idea of no restaurants close enough in a safe walking distance. We had to drive even tho it was like a block away. The hotel is in situated in an old section of the city and the parking is very crowded. The old abandoned building is a little scary. April 24, 2013

I felt like while checking in the lady who checked me in was not a nice person and made it seem like I was a bother to her for wanting to stay there. If I had not had a long day and was very tired I would have went some place else and told her that in the future I would not bother her by staying at this hotel. April 1, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by GRATEFUL for SHUTTLE! Welcome desk Helpful and informative.Rooms were clean and well equipped. Heat was cool for temp indicated but was a cold evening. Location is convenient to downtown, train station and expressway but in a darkened metro area. Wish the breakfast or some elements and shuttle available earlier for early departures. Free shuttle was a perk. Now charge for parking. As a Priority Club member would have liked one of the many cookies at the registration desk but was not offered one... February 17, 2013

A great and "budget" alternative to other downtown hotels, this hotel may be a bit cheaper in price but has been noticably and nicely renovated since it changed to a Holiday Inn Express a few years ago. It has a gym, indoor pool/hot tub and the free downtown shuttle is nice, even though everything is walking distance including the Palace and Pepsi Arena and all bars and restaurants. Shuttle service helps bear the cold, which is was in late January. Check in employee (Britney) was extremely friendly, which is always nice, and the parking lot is lit up well. If you like fresh cookies, this is your hotel too, as they have complimentary ones in the lobby for check in as well as free breakfast with those tasty sticky buns. February 2, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Just OK Great location for our one night stay. Room was fine. WiFi was spotty at night, so slow that I couldn't receive e-mail most of the night. Next morning it was back to normal. We had hot water for only one shower in the AM. My wife had luke warm for 1 minute and then cold! Bill was adjusted after complaining. January 26, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy! When we checked in they had us signed a paper saying we will be quiet in the room; no partying. I first thought it was a new standard at holiday inn, I quickly realized it was specific that hotel, probably because of a recurrent issue... Young adults were preparing to go party next door when we enter our room. They came back at 2am; very load. When we call the front desk, it took a good 10 min before hearing any difference. I guess they must have the situation often, that's why they have their customers signing a paper at check in. So this hotel has regular holiday inn standards but you're taking the chance to be woken up in the middle of the night. January 19, 2013

When we arrived, the front desk staff greeted us as though we were family arriving home for the holiday. In fact, all of the staff we encountered during our stay were very nice and very welcoming. Our room, including the bathroom, was incredibly clean, spacious and comfortable. November 28, 2012

The room was very comfortable and quiet, and I got a great night of sleep. It's not in the middle of everything, but it's not far. That's a plus as far as I'm concerned, when all I wanted was to sleep. Would seek it out next time I'm in Albany. November 19, 2012

Room was great...very clean and modern. Internet was out for awhile that night but they had it up and running in a few hours. Great shower head...loved the pressure. Nice staff...even gave free parking slip to park across the road when our parking space filled up when we went to get something to eat. Pool was nice and hot tub...too much chlorine but that's too be expected at most hotels. Breakfast was AWESOME! Tons of food and good variety...LOVED it! Easy check in, easy check out...I would definately go there again. I was not impressed with Albany but I was VERY impressed with this hotel. Thank you for a great stay. November 12, 2012

As we are planning a function at this location everyone went above and beyond acceptable service, and the event planning staff we could not say enough wonderful things about them. My wife also was impressed with the staff and was pleasantly surprised with the room. Kudos to all at this location. October 11, 2012
