Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service - Spotless Room My experience with the service from the man that made the reservation, who also sent a text message to my phone while I was driving so I could load that address to my gps was great help. The lobby was warm, inviting, furniture modern, very clean. Was greeted right as I entered the door with a smile. Quickly given room key and directions as to where it was. Offered a free bottle of water without asking. Was traveling alone, and felt very safe at hotel. The interior decor of the room was also modern, clean, fresh. The carpet felt clean even on bare feet - which was nice. Bathroom was pristine with modern fixtures and granite floor and also on walls. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by No Pets Allowed Only time we've stayed at this property. We typically stay at Holiday Inn Express when we travel with our animals, as we've had excellent experiences. This hotel should just say "No Pets Allowed". We were charged $25/day/pet (although it was reduced due to our small dogs). There was a sign at check in saying if you neglect to tell them about your animals they will charge $100/day/pet! Finally, another sign indicated that if you leave your animals unattended in the room, they will charge you $250. Obviously, they don't really want animals to stay there. From an accommodation perspective, The room was clean and comfortable. It was smaller than we have experienced at other HIExpress properties. January 9, 2014

Unlike all other Holiday Inn Express properties we have stayed at, this location has exterior entrances to the rooms so there was a lot of outside noise. The room was VERY small, especially for a king size bed. The bathroom shower is poorly designed and the cleaning staff had left the shower head ion a position so that there was no way to turn on the shower and allow the water to heat up before entering the shower. This meant having to suffer getting totally doused with FREEZING COLD water to turn it on, jumping out and waiting for it to warm up. The bed was very uncomfortable also. We could feel the springs popping with every move. After this experience, we cancelled our reservation to stay here on our return trip home. January 8, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Poor service I stayed here twice in one week. Once on way driving east to visit family and again on my way back home. I had reservations for the trip out so I had no problem. I then stayed there on way back without a reservation. Of course the cost was $10 more per night without the reservation. Nothing was said about a hold of greater then the amount of the cost of the nights stay and I did not expect a hold of greater then the nights stay on my credit card since I did not have one the week prior. The next morning as I checked out I checked my temp charges on my credit card on my cell phone and saw the additional amount. It is not that it was such a big issue as many hotels do that but since they did not do it the week prior and certainly did not tell me they were doing it. If they had told me, when I checked in and before going to sleep I could have transferred money to the credit card to cover gas. But without the warning I was unable to do so. I do not recommend this hotel for this reason. November 21, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff Rooms Need Updates We visited and stayed in Albuquerque on our way to Arizona and then chose to return to the Holiday Inn Express, on our way back from Arizona. Each time we were greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable Staff Member. By far, the Breakfast was among the best we had on our trip, and the Hostesses of the Breakfast Area were very nice. The rooms are a bit dark and the baths were dated. The beds were fine and the television was easy to see and had a reasonable volume control. The temperatures were good in the room, but there is a sign on the heating/cooling unit that rattles and did make it difficult to get to sleep. The parking lot was pretty dark as well, and we did have a bit of an uncomfortable encounter with a woman looking for money in the parking lot, but Staff immediately sent security out to remedy the situation. We would stay again, and would recommend the hotel to others. November 15, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Hotel, room for improvement Staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. Nothing but the highest marks there. The bed was comfortable, though the pillows are a bit small. Suggestions for improvement. Water softening. The hard water is VERY noticeable. Exhaust vents in the bathrooms would be a useful improvement. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by disappointing stay We love Holiday in express but this was our least favourite hotel the rooms are dated, difficult to get to especially for a handicapped individual. The breakfast was terrible most of the food trays were empty, when they did bring more the eggs were watery and the sausage hard... We have stayed in a bunch of Holiday inn Express locations this is the first time I was very disappointed... November 6, 2013

Also, the bottom sheets rode up the sides of the bed in the middle of the night so we were partly sleeping right on the plastic. terrible. Will not be using Holiday Inn again soon. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Price Change The hotel increased the price on the day I arrived. I had made an online reservation for 2 rooms about 4 months before our arrival. The only way I could get them to correct it was by calling Customer Care and they called the hotel which the hotel eventually admitted to their "mistake." I also called in advance for a crib and when I arrived they did not have one and did not come up with one. As a platinum member I will not stay at this hotel or recommend it to anyone. Little to offer and the bed gave me a backache. Tub did not drain while taking shower. No recognition for Rewards Club members. Won't stop in again. October 20, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice place to stay if on a budget Looked all over for rooms as we were traveling to ABQ for the balloon festival. Many of the hotels I'd normally stay at were booked up or priced way up. Saw good reviews for this hotel so gave it a shot. Was really scared of the "motor lodge" setup of the place and didn't have real high expectations. Upon arrival I was refreshed with the updated appearance of the place. The check-in area is nice and the property has a secure feel to it. When we got to the room it was clean and nice but a little small. With 3 of us we were squished in the room, but didn't plan on being in there too much so didn't worry about it too much. With a little one, an indoor pool was a necessity. We had a second floor room that backed up to the pool area. The pool was nice and warm, but really cloudy with chlorine. The noise was never that bad and the place really quieted down after about 10:00. We all slept great, beds were comfortable, etc. I went in with poor expectations but was impressed with the facility and we enjoyed our stay. I'd stay there again without a problem. October 18, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Standard place for 1-2 nights I was very skeptical of this hotel from other reviews-which were poor. But those really bad reviews seemed to be mostly from the Rewards members, so maybe they expect a higher standard because they travel more? However, this hotel was average and good for 1-2 nights. I did notice a couple ants on the carpet and that should be expected when a fridge and microwave are inside your room. Fridge was handy to store milk for my toddler. Front desk was always available. I think the outside entrances were a little of a downfall, due to other tenants staying outside partying in the parking lot. There is a bar and an Applebee's within walking distance. Swimming area was clean. Breakfast buffett was okay. Nice flat screen TV and updated fixtures were in our room. October 15, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good Location The location and convenience of this property is why we selected it for our recent stay and that did not disappoint. However, after staying at numerous Holiday Inn Express and other IHG properties, this was the most disappointing for us. The mattresses and bedding definitely need an upgrade. The 'fitted' sheets would not stay on the mattress and by morning we felt like we were sleeping on a wadded up diaper pad. One night, my husband was up twice during the night to refit the bottom sheet to the mattress; did not make for a good night's sleep. October 12, 2013
