Room 334 had shower-bath plumbing that needs maintenance or replacement.. The thermostat was not working properly. These two items together made the stay a bit frustrating. I have stayed at this facility many times and normally have a pleasant stay. I was in somewhat of a hurry and did not take the time to report these issues to the front desk.

This is our normal hotel in Anchorage now. Management has worked hard to improve the last few years and it is obvious. Staff has gone out of their way many times for us even helping jump my vehicle on a miserable morning.
Most of the Holiday inn express locations have been safe stays for us during our travels with the exception of Mission Texas- that one is a dump- poor maintenance, staff uncaring and nonresponsive .

I have stayed here before but thought I should comment about hot water & water pressure. I was staying in a room in the middle of the top floor and had plenty of water pressure & hot water so if there was a problem previously they definitely corrected it because I took many long & hot showers. It was great.
They also upgraded their television channels while I was there so most of the channels are HD now.
The entire staff was friendly & helpful. I will definitely stay again.

We continue to stay at the Holiday Inn Express because of the wonderful service we receive. The staff is fabulous, they make you feel important from the moment you arrive. We always recommend this hotel, due to the wonderful staff, and will continue to stay here.

Upon arrival I had to wait at the front desk for over 30 minutes for a worker to show his face. The only reason why He did is because I screamed and woke him up in the back room. He had indents in his forehead from sleeping in the back. I actually let him know sleeping on the job is not acceptable. He never acknowledged my Platinum status or was offered an upgrade or anything for that matter. During my stay there was 3 days I never received cleaning service in my room. It was not a pleasant experience at all for me & my son.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful, our room was clean and comfortable.
A very at home atmosphere. I would definitely recommend staying there.

This was a somewhat complicated stay as a present to my daughter on her 20th birthday. We didn't have enough points on either of our Holiday Inn accounts (we love to earn and use those points!) so we booked two days under one and one under the other. The hotel was able to combine the reservation and not force a change in rooms.
My daughter checked in late and, being only 20, needed my permission to check in alone. The staff called me right away, got the form to me and let my daughter go on to her room after a long hard day of travel. I got the fax sent back, she let me know immediately that it was recieved and all was good.
They gave her good recommendations on things to do near the hotel and offered her a late checkout.
Excellent customer service is hard to come by, but they made it happen.

Room 110 must be directly under the lobby because the traffic noise and heavy steps directly above Rm 110 were echoing through the room. If I come back, I will stay in the top floors only.

This hotel has one of the friendliest & helpful staffs. They were cheerful and always greeted me. The rooms were well appointed and cleaned to a high standard. Everything you need.

I have stayed several times at HIE Anchorage, sometimes good, sometimes bad but my last saty was the worst. I have learned not to expect much in the way of Priority Platinum recognition from this hotel but this time there was none. The room was over priced, uncomfortable, with noise from neighbors through the walls and ceiling, and children running and crying in the hall through out the night. I travel to Anchorage 5 or 6 times a year but will not stay at this hotel again.

I always stay at your hotel whenever I get a chance to travel to Anchorage. The pool had so much chlorine in it that is made my Grandchild and daughter cough when they were in the pool. As soon as this was noticed they were taken out of the pool, given a long shower to get it off of them. It took a few hours before they were able to quit coughing.
On sunday, my daughter was taking a shower, she could not take a nice relaxing hot shower, as it suddenly turned cold.
When we alerted the staff, none were apologetic about these two circumstances. We were told we had to talk to the manager who wa not available until the following Monday. We were leaving on Sunday, so my daughter left him/her a phone number. He/she finally called on Monday, very sorry for all this, but that was it.
Every spring we travel to Anchorage for the President's Day Hockey tournament and we always stay there with my grandson's team. This year I will not recommend that this hotel to the group. My suggestion is that they look elsewhere with a well maintained pool.
