Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by gracious place to stay When a person or couple needs a comfortable, clean, accommodating experience in the mist of busy travel schedules, this is a perfect place. I wondered if it was a new facility. Everything was well kept and looked new, fresh, tastefully decorated. The convenience and gracious shuttle service, handy eating places and front desk graciousness made this a perfect stay passing through Anchorage while transferring to / from a cruise. June 5, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Holiday Inn Express Ever On check-in, I could not find my HIE number. I asked Tammy to look it up. She refused saying, "you do not get points for internet reservations. I told her I got them plus bonus points in Seward, AK the night before. Her response was, "if you find your number, bring it up here and I will try to put it in". Eventually, I found it. She put it in. I am a gold member. there was no offer of extra points or any perks on check-in. The room was not clean (232). there were crumbs on the floor between the beds. It stunk. We found a pr of dirty, smelly socks under the bed by the door from the last occupant, no doubt. The sheets did not feel clean. They were old and the material had a lot of little "fabric pills" on them. The 8 pillows in the room were all mush despite the firm label. This was the worst Holiday Inn ever June 3, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient to Airport Good shuttle svc., staff adequate, room comfy. Noisy, close to laundry or something noisy. Could hear stomping overhead & people talking. Our room had strong odor of perspiration that took while to get rid of. But it was overall worth money and adequate for one night stay. Comfy bed. June 2, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by wrong room The front desk person acted like I was a hassle. I reserved a king bed and she put us in a room with 2 doubles. I had to go back up stairs to correct it after traveling all day and she asked me to bring the wrong room keys back up stairs. I also reserved the room a month ago and they charged my cc, how co u make that mistake? The tub faucet did not work properly and ghe tub didn't drain. May 12, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Anchorage Holiday Inn Express I generally stay at this hotel once or twice monthly. I always have a good experience and the staff is great. The hotel is clean, quiet, and in a good location close enough to the airport but not so close that airline traffic causes any disturbance. I recall one trip when the hotel had a broken water line so they had to close off some rooms. They honored my reservation by booking me into a very nice hotel downtown and provided free shuttle service to and from the alternate hotel. They even paid for my entire stay at the alternate hotel. I can think of no other hotel that has ever been that considerate of me. I highly recommend the Anchorage Holiday Inn Express. April 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Week in Alaska I enjoyed my stay at the Hilton Inn Express. The breakfast bar was very good. In fact I can't say I've had a complimentary breakfast selection that actually included a variety of eggs, meats and gravy in addition to the usual bagels, waffles and coffee. And all were prepared well. Although I gave this facility and its staff a 5 star rating, I did have one small issue and that was the wireless access in the room with my laptop. It was poor. I gave you a 5 star because your business office downstairs had everything I required to get my work done in a timely manner, good wireless access in my room would have made it perfect. Hotel has recently been updated and room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Internet also worked great as well and allowed me to even be on a VPN connection with no issues. This is a plus for a business traveler who needs to have use of a VPN secured connection. Staff were also very friendly and made me feel right at home while there. Hotel has all of the consistent amenities you would expect to find at a Holiday Inn Express and overall, just a great stay. Id recommend this hotel. March 31, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable but loud heating After 22 hrs of flying I was exhausted and looking forward to some sleep. The bed was really comfortable, the temperature was adjustable, so that was nice and the room was clean and roomy. Plus breakfast had plenty of choices. However, the heating is ridiculously loud. It clunked on and on with this repeated pattern every time it came on so I had to put the heat on ridiculously low. This means I got very little sleep. So, if you go here, maybe go in the summer when you can open the window and not have the heat on. March 14, 2014

The bed was comfortable, the service efficient, the fitness center most welcome. The only drawback was the wifi which didn't seem to work on room 314. I was able to get good connectivity in the lobby but was not able to maintain a connection in the room. February 24, 2014

There are some local food places but mostly they serve PIZZA. I have stayed here the last 4 time I have been in Anchorage but I have always had transportation. February 3, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good stay...still hot tub issues I /We stayed in room 342 for two weeks checking out on the 22nd of January. Our visit was quite good as we have come to expect whenever we stay with you. Our room is quiet, and well maintained, with above average housekeeping service. The only two issues with the room, is a noisy fridge, which is quite loud, and clunks with regularity, and a very damp feeling in the room like there is more moisture than would be normal with a musty smell. We also experienced an issue with the Hot Tub/Spa, which we have experienced over and again for many years. The issue is with the very high chlorine level. It is so high that we itch after a short time in the spa, and the chorine fades our swim suits. We discussed this with another patron in the spa, who said he has had the same experience in the past as well. This is an ongoing problem that we know of for at least 10 years, and still continues. It would be good to have the problem resolved. We love this hotel, its location, and staff. We have been staying here whenever we visit Anchorage for 15+ years. And we plan to continue staying with you in the future. Bill & Marie January 25, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Everything great but the... BED! The king bed was broken in some way so that there was a deep trench with slanting sides in the middle of the bed. We spent two nights this way because we decided, after a very long and tiring trip Outside and a two a.m. arrival in Anchorage that it was too much trouble to report this problem and be moved. We slept this way a second night and reported this the last night we were there. We have had very good stays at this Anchorage location in the past but will check out the bed immediately upon arrival the next time. January 6, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Christmas time visit We spent a week at this location and enjoyed it very much. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were there Christmas day and they made sure we all had breakfast served to us and our rooms cleaned if we wanted. The shuttle to the air port was accommodating and timely. The rooms were clean and comfortable. A very positive experience. I would recommend it to anyone. January 1, 2014

Everyone who owns a business should have personnel like her. In addition, Jovie in the breakfast room did an amazing job. The food was fresh, hot, and plentiful... Not only that she kept the place clean. I thanked her for her wonderful service. Last but not least, Renee, who took care of our room was very thorough, pleasant, and I could tell she took great pride in doing her job. Thank you to all who made our stay very pleasant. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fun Birthday The staff was very friendly. The room was very spacious. Worked out wonderful for a 10 year old birthday party. The girls had a great time. We were very pleased that the couch hid a beds were surprisingly comfortable. The room and pool, along with the whole hotel were clean, comfortable and inviting. I thought it was wonderful that the hotel was handicap accessible, including the pool! Thanks for helping me make my daughters birthday celebration a wonderful memory for her. November 20, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of our 18-day Alaska vacation. This is a nice clean hotel with all the amenities. They have self serve laundry facilities so I was able to pack all clean clothes for my flight home which was nice. I was able to get the government rate which made the price a little more reasonable. There are several restaurants and the Harley Davidson store within walking distance. All hotel employees were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Express Anchorage. So the initial good impression when the clerk used my name (I was the last customer arriving that day) - quickly wore off: A patron came back to the counter and tells him there was someone in their room already!!?? They walked in on someone sleeping. That's worrisome. Got them straightened out but seemed rather casual "oh must be a little mixup.." and of course the person sleeping called down to check whether everything was OK. Then the dude goes all regal on us, saying "my elevators are here and my parking is ..." Dude you are a hotel clerk and not such a good one it seems - and I really doubt they are 'YOUR" elevators. And it is past midnight. Give it a rest. Please. October 31, 2013
