Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ryan123 Great stay in Beloit
I stayed at the Beloit Holiday Inn Express on my way back to Indiana from a business trip. As usual, nothing to complain about. Easy check-in, good sleep, good breakfast, easy checkout. I cringe whenever I have to stay somewhere other than IHG now, because you don't know what to expect.

A stop over for us during a vacation trip. A week earlier we had stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Rockford, IL. I think the Beloit location was a much better value. Beloit is a bit worn and could use some updating. Specifically, the tub was coated with a non-skid surface that was cracked. The A/C in our room was on maximum and could barely keep us cool enough to sleep, which is the reason for the low scores on Comfort and Sleep Quality. Other than that, I was pleased with the hotel. The location is convenient, just off the interstate. I mention Rockford because it is much newer and nicer. But the cost is much higher, so I think Beloit is a better value and will adjust my travel plans in the future to make Beloit the stop over point rather than Rockford.

Enjoyed our overnight in Beloit. They have a nice happy hour reception. There is plenty of food around and is locate just off the highway.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Jim46410 Good Older Property
I stay here frequently for work, it is the least expensive IHG facility in the Rockford area. Very nice staff, the building is clean and well kept. Internet is decent, but not great. They have a free drink reception from 5 to 7 which is nice. It is an older property, so it's not one of the nicer places to stay, but definitely a good value for the price. I would recommend people stay here while in the area.

I had a late check into the Holiday Inn Express in Beloit on my way to Minneapolis. The staff was great in dealing with. Late check in, and had my information ready when I checked in. I don't believe my booking agency relayed my rewards number, but this is not the hotel's fault. All in all, a good (but quick) stay in Beloit. No complaints.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by BurntIceCream Hotel is dated and in need of a refit
This hotel used to be the top of my list but is no longer. The internet service is practically unusable as it is undersized. The furniture and bathroom fixtures were old and need replacement, as well as the carpet. The air conditioner is old and did not properly control the room temperature, it also is in need of a replacement. The chair for the work desk was not comfortable either. The cleanliness of the bathroom was iffy and obviously just given a quick once over.
Sorry to be so negative, but it needs to be said.
However, the staff is very friendly and courteous, when the bathroom light fixture quit working they replaced the bulb and/or ballast while I was away, and I never had another problem. The bed was not too old and I did sleep okay. The room smell was tolerable for an older hotel and not overly musky.

The only problem we ran into was our bathtub was broken, however we did not say anything until we checked out because we were really busy and were hardly there. Plus I only used it once.
Food selection was small, but choices were fine. Would've liked more choices but dealt with what they had. Also, really small compared to what the photos show!
