Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice stay, decent price Convenient as the shuttle picked me up at the airport and also offered rides to mall of america. At airport after getting your bags, you have to cross the street to some big garage like place, and then you call the HI let them know what terminal/airline you used. Keep the number handy as it isnt shown anywhere at the airport. They pickup in 2 different locations. Make sure to book your shuttle back to the airport when you checkin as the early morning shuttles from the hotel to the airport fillup fast. The 5:30 and 6 AM shuttles were both 100% full. I had a 7:15AM flight. Room is nice, although not fancy like a 5* hotel, but has everything you need, newer furniture was clean and comfortable with a fridge. Pretty quiet too. I'd stay here again. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Never Again I have stayed previously at this hotel, since it offers shuttle service to/from airport and is reasonable. It has always been just average or little above, but on my recent stay it became a nightmare. I arrived at the hotel @ approximately 5:30 pm and already exhausted from long days at work (made reservations on-line). I was given my keys, went to the room and either 1) the room had not been cleaned or 2) someone was still occupying the room. I went back to the front desk (of course dragging all my luggage) and was provided another key/room. Upon going to the second room (again dragging luggage) the key did not work - once again back to the front desk. Finally I was able to get into a room and thought great now I can relax since I had a 6 am flight the next morning! Approximately 11:30 pm or a little later I was "surprised" by strangers in my room! Obviously (once again) the front desk provided keys to an occupied room. Well that shot the rest of the night for any type of sleep and the shuttle ride at 4 am. was not so pleasant. I was promised "additional points" which 1) I haven't seen and 2) the amount was so inconsequential it certainly did not make up for the evenings occurrences. So no, I would not recommend this hotel unless you intend to make new friends in the middle of the night. This was very disturbing to a female traveling alone. July 31, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff Very nice hotel. We stayed two nights after a train trip and visited the Mall of America that the Holiday Inn Express has a shuttle to it. My wife had never been there before. Very helpful front desk person, Michelle, I believe, assisted me in getting my computer to work correctly. She even hooked me up with the 800 number service that solved the problem. It was a complicated fix. Also, we switched rooms after the first night and I left my IPad in the room. Miss Cruz turned it in to the front desk and I retrieved it later in the day. Great staff! July 25, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Service Fair, Maintenance terrible I have used this facility many times. This time I needed to use the shuttle from the airport. I called (no phone number shown at the airport hotel display board) and was told 15 minutes. Driver arrived, we waited another 10 minutes for another couple, got halfway to the hotel and he was told to turn around and go back for another. Finally after 50 minutes wasted, we got back to the hotel and he let off the other first, since they had "parked their cars there" but were not staying there. As a guest I was the last one left at the door. The flapper valve in the toilet was leaking and every 30 seconds it would refill the tank. I advised the front desk the next morning, and the morning after that, and the one after that, and the morning of my checkout. Was told they had NO inventory of spare parts for maintenance. This wasted thousands of gallons of water and was annoying for all 4 days. Terrible situation, and resource inconsiderate. Shame. July 23, 2013

I will give the staff credit, the corrected the bill without question. The room itself was okay, but even with the AC on full blast, the room would not get cooled down. July 22, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very happy with everything. Lets start with affordable. Veryyyyy Clean!!! We stayed for three days, and every day our room was made to look like the first with fresh sheets and towels. We had a microwave and a refrigerator, and best of all, down at the service desk there was a store that sold TV dinners and other things so that you did not have to go out if you did not want to. The beds were super comfortable. They had a shuttle that ran every hr to the mall of america and to the airport. We did not even have to drive or pay for parking. It was very awesome.. My daughter loved the pool, me and my wife loved the whirlpool. The pool was not the biggest, but we realized quickly that it was a god send, because it made it easy to keep an eye on our daughter. The shower was great, super clean with nice water pressure and a never ending supply of hot water. Breakfast was awesome... top notch!!! Excellent Everything... and lots of it. All of the staff were very polite. There were three elevators, so no waiting. That was nice. The lobby has dark rich woodwork that screams beautiful. I Loved looking at all of the woodwork as dumb as that may sound. We were on the fifth floor and enjoyed the views of the city. The room has its own heat and air controls that were very easy to control. Lets just say that we will be staying there again. I'm a big fan of Clean.. and everywhere I went in this place was very clean and that made me comfortable... July 13, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by reservation representative attitude My first three days stay was good, it was the fourth request for a reservation that sent me over the edge. When making phone reservations, directly with this hotel, I was asked if I would be driving and parking my car. When I replied 'yes', I was told there was a $10 parking fee in addition to my room. I have stayed at this hotel several times in the recent past and NEVER have been told that I would be charged $10 for parking my car. Infact, I had stayed Monday, July 1, 2013, Wednesday, July 3, 2013, July 4, 2013 without being charged a parking fee. On July 5, 2013, #due to an emergency required another night stay# I requested a room and was told I would be charged a $10 parking fee. I was stunned. I related my very recent staysand not being charged a $10 parking fee and the hotel reservation male stated that it wasn't he that was charging me. #he took this personally# If you are employed by a business, you then take the responsibility of representing that a professional manner...whether you agree with their policies or not. If you are not going to represent that business, wholeheartedly, find another position in which you CAN represent a company professionally. July 11, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed and friendly staff The hotel was excellent except for the over an hour long wait for the hotel shuttle to come pick us up from the airport. We had flown from Scotland and so were very tired and it was a little upsetting. When the shuttle driver did arrive he told us he had just been told about our request for a ride and that the original request had been forgotten about. He was extremely friendly and apologetic as was the front desk supervisor. Except for some bottled water, no consideration was given. We had no such difficulties with the shuttle back to the airport but it was a good thing we pre-booked our time because the shuttle was full. July 10, 2013

If you're visiting the Twin Cities I would highly recommend this Holiday Inn Express. The shuttle service to the mall to shop as well as catch the light rail to the Twins game was great. Not having to worry about driving and parking made our stay so much more enjoyable. I did miss the fresh baked cookies on check in but the other amenities made up for it. Had to work in lobby where contractors and project managers for upcoming rennovation where quite loud, making it hard to concentrate and work while waiting. This was between 3-4 PM. July 3, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Enjoyed our stay Brought my grand daughter to Mall of America for her 16th birthday. We loved this hotel. We got in late as our flight had been cancelled twice. The woman on the front desk gave me banana's as nothing open. I was very tired and hungry. She really came through. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Also enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The shuttle service was very good. All the staff wonderful. I would stay there again. June 24, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Couple of hiccups At midnight someone tried several times to enter our room. A few minutes later, I heard them actually enter the room across the hall. We saw them in the hall the next morning and they said the desk employee gave them the wrong room number. Bummer that we were woken up and freaked out for an employee error. Also, the mattresses in our room had no edge/side support. When you laid down, you really felt like you were going to end up on the floor. June 6, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Housekeeping After a long day of traveling I arrived late. The next morning housekeeping next door was slamming something several times. After several requests to the housekeeper the noise only got louder. After a call to the front desk to request that the manager ask them to quiet down they started to vacuum, purposely hitting the baseboards with the vacuum over and over again.
