Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel was OK, but maids need better training Overall the hotel was OK, no major complaints. The staff was nice and the breakfast was fine. The room had a couple issues though. First, there was a smell in the bathroom on arrival. Either the toilet or the shower curtain (or both) was not clean. This should be checked before they release a room to anybody. Also, we had to turn on the air conditioner in the middle of winter because otherwise the room would heat up on its own. We were able to satisfactorily regulate the temperature using this method. Bed an other aspects of the room were fine. Next time in the area I will give the property another chance to "clean up its act". January 26, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great room with a poor breakfast bar. Have stayed at this Hol. Inn Express many times before. I think the staff training has gone downhill in the breakfast area. The room was comfortable, check in went smoothly with polite staff. On both mornings of my stay, the breakfast bar was staffed very poorly. On the first morning, I pointed out to the staff that some of the milk had gone bad. She seemed uninterested that there was more bad milk in the refrigerator beyond that milk I was showing her at that moment. On the second morning, most of the food was gone with fifteen minutes still remaining in serving time. Clearly, this is on the later end so I was not surprised, nor did I expect to get "more bacon." I did expect that the Orange Juice dispenser would be replenished as it is locked each night and would be good to go the next morning. When I pointed this out to the staff, she said "Well, it's the end of breakfast time and they'll just take care of it tomorrow." I pointed out that she had not been there for fifteen minutes and I just wanted a glass of orange juice. She replied that she was sorry and that they would take care of it tomorrow morning. With a weird twist of fate, at my checkout, the "breakfast hostess" also checked me out of the hotel so it was very difficult to point out the problems in the breakfast bar to the very person who caused the problems. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Hey Joe ! I have stayed at this hotel a number of times in the past. We stay in the handicap accessible room which is perfect for our needs. The rooms are always spotless and the staff usually very friendly. During our recent stay we had an issue with the roll away bed, which we must use when traveling with our disabled family member. It's the typ that folds up. The kind you used to see in the roadside hotels in the fifties. Better hotels use the type that stand straight up and are a regular type mattress. Half way through the night my wife was complaining of the discomfort, so I traded places with her. Within a half hour I was experiencing the same discomfort. That morning I called the front desk, they apologized and said they had one other rollaway they would give us for our second night and there would be no charge. Did I say they normally charge forty dollars for this torture device but they had discounted it to twenty. On returning home I had a question as to the charges for our stay. I called the hotel but the desk clerk was unable to answer my question and she said that either the general manager or controller would call me the next day. That being either Lance or Joseph. Well two days later and no response. Makes me feel like I'm not valued at this hotel. I guess being a longtime IHG member doesn't mean much. I would recommend this hotel if you don't need a rollaway Or a phone call from Lance or Joseph. December 23, 2014
