Nice, clean hotel. Room can use a tiny bit of updating (pillows). Comfy bed, clean bathroom. Though light switch plate was broken (minor cosmetic issues can be corrected to show that management cares about the condition of their hotel). Will recommend to collegues.

My family and I were in the area for a three night stay for the races at Atlanta Motor Speedway. This was our second stay at this hotel. First, the good...very pleased with check-in and the room. Very clean, well stocked with towels and even extra pillows. The staff was friendly and attentive. The hotel exterior and grounds were above average for a busy hotel along the interstate. We didn't use the pool but it looked clean and inviting. Now for the not so good...the first thing I think of when I think about this chain is breakfast and in particular, the cinnamon rolls. For the second year in a row, this hotel didn't have them. We even filled out a comment card on this last time. There was an out of order sign where these should have been. The first morning, I settled for pancakes, which were good. The second morning, there was a sign on that machine saying it was out of order. The eggs were cold, the gravy was watered down, and at the time I went down to eat, they were out of coffee! Six pumps and all empty! Come on, now! We ate nothing and ended up at a donut shop. The third morning, we checked out and didn't even bother looking. Both mornings, there were two attendants working and things actually looked clean, just mismanaged. It had the look of either not having enough food for a fully booked hotel and trying to make it stretch or just trying to be cheap and skimp. Either way, this is unacceptable for two years straight! We will likely give this hotel another chance when we come back to AMS next Labor Day weekend because we really liked our room, the value, and the location but three strikes and you're out...

When I checked into the hotel, there was a trainee and who I believe may be a manager, Gina. I didn't mind at all that my check-in was being used as a training experience but Gina and the trainee had a disagreement in front of me which I could hear escalating as I was walking away. Ultimately, the trainee was sent home for cursing at Gina. I did receive a sincere apology from Gina when she saw me again. The next morning, the trainee was there, this time working with housekeeping. I had a "do not disturb" tag on my door. She knocked on my door and announced herself as housekeeping 3 times. I yelled from my bed "LATER!" 3 times. She used her keycard and opened my door anyway. I asked her again to come back later. I got up and went to the door to be sure the "do not disturb" tag was still there. I opened my door and held up the tag for her to see it. She said "I'm sorry, I didn't see it". On my last day at the hotel when I went downstairs for breakfast. I saw tiny roaches crawling on the side of the plastic case that housed the muffins. There are also little plastic roach traps in various corners of the hotel. There was a dead roach on the carpet in the computer room in the lobby. The ONLY reason I didn't change hotels after my first night was because my room was paid in advance to get a cheaper rate. It was Labor Day weekend and this was the ONLY hotel I could find with a king sized be with an affordable price. I wrote to the customer care dept. I received a timely response that the concerns were addressed with the hotel and as a token of apology, I was offered enrollment in the IHG Rewards Program with an issue of 5,000 points. I declined.

Found the hotel to be very clean and that is a must for me. Right down to the elevators.
Staff greeted you with a smile. And I found them to be efficient and genuinely concerned about your stay.
I was in Covington to attend a funeral. On this sad occasion it was nice not to have to come to a clean, comfortable hotel.
On another note I lost my glasses which were not found but I felt the staff did all they could to find them.

The hotel staff were very helpful especially with options for sightseeing and restaurants. Would stay again and plan to in the future. Breakfast was a nice option but could have been better.

Check-in was friendly and efficient. It was my 1st time to stay here but the reception was more like it was my 100th stay. The hotel interior looks more like a resort, very stylish. The room provided a great night's rest with a great breakfast to get me started the next morning. Definitely a great place to stay between Atlanta and Augusta.

Overall my experience at this hotel was good but I must comment as to the cleanliness of my room, specifically the bathroom. I hurriedly checked in to my room. grabbed a quick dinner meal and retired for the night since it had been a long day. The next morning I noticed that only one of the usual 3 or 4 complimentary toiletries and one bar of soap was in place. I looked for bath soap but found none. Looking into the shower I found a partially empty shampoo bottle in a soap residue-covered soap dish. Since I was in a hurry I used face soap for my shower avoiding the dirty soap dish. When I went to the bathroom sink I noticed several dark whiskers and soap residue in that area and more dark whiskers on the vanity. My beard is mostly gray with some light brown. Upon leaving the hotel I told the front desk attendant, she apologized and said the problem would be taken care of . Hopefully that has been the case.

This is my second year returning to this hotel. The staff at this hotel was outstanding from check in to check out. The GM was especially nice and helpful. I will continue to return to this hotel every year when I come to the area. This is my 4th Holiday Inn hotel stay so far this year and this is the only hotel that has acknowleded or thanked me for being a Priority Club Member. Not that it is that big of a deal, but it is really nice to know they appreciate you picking their hotel.

The Holiday Inn Express was clean, nicely furnished and much bigger than we expected. The front desk clerk Gina (Jeana) far exceeded her chores with kindness, helpfulness and smiles. Only thing I would have changed was the breakfast. The biscuits were hard, the gravy was waterey and the eggs were all in one lump. We went to McDonalds. The breakfast attendant, however, was kind and smiling. We did not complain about the food. We just went elsewhere.

Many of our family stayed at the hotel for our family reunion. The large breakfast/ area downstairs allowed all of us to gather around to visit over coffee. The staff was so welcoming. The property was clean and rooms comfortable. The only issue we had was the people in the room above us sounded like they were playing basketball in the room until 1:30 a.m. But I would definitely recommend this property.

The orange juice was absolutely terrible. Managment should be ashamed of that stuff. One staff memeber told me to mix it with the mango blend. That is absurd. The biscuits were uneatable (hard) and the eggs were a round hocky puck. The breakfast was not fit to eat.
At day 2 my back was a little tight. Never had back trouble in my life.
I will not be staying here in the future. Even if my drive is further, I will stay somewhere else. Staff was friendly. I did not get a wake up call the first morning as I had asked and neither did my collegue. I will speak only for myself however. Rooms were ok. Overall, below average.

Most expensive price i have ever paid for a room with Holiday Inn Express. I am a Priority Card Member. Was not allowed a discount when checking in for AARP or AAA. No hot water the next morning for a shower before leaving. Not a happy experience.

This property was unique and a pleasure to stay at for one night. I was looking for something fairly close to Atlanta but not in the Metro area, this location provided that. Also, the interior design of this hotel was interesting. The front desk clerk was friendly, recognized my priority status and made checking in fun. The room was clean, comfortable and the climate control was very responsive(which I appreciated, it was 30 degs outside that night). The breakfast area was large and comfortable. Overall, a pleasant stay and I would definitely recommend this location.

I was in the process of moving from South Carolina to Texas and this was my first night on the road..........I always stay at Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn Express if there is one close by.......I just happened upon this one........it was a beautiful place, very unique, liked entering on the 2nd floor level and my room was just around the corner from the main desk and it was quiet and peaceful........ask if there were any restaurants to order delivery and they gave me a menu from a nearby Chinese Restaurant and the food was plentiful and delicious........thanks so much for the help........
You have the most wonderful friendly staff members.......the food was good ............so rested and full, I was back on the road.........would recommend this to anyone that wants to feel like they are in the lap of luxury.

Housekeeping is great. Greeting everyone and taking care of the problem right away. Hair Dryer was not getting hot and i told cleaning lady, she brought new one. Front desk was amazing also. The hotel staff made us feel like home when we were there.
