I stayed at the HI Express, Dahlonega, with two former coworkers and friends for a reunion and relaxation. It was an excellent experience all the way from checking in to checking out. The hotel was clean and the breakfast buffet was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The town and area were fun even in January! One highly recommended restaurant is the Oyster House, located on the town square. Fantastic food, and especially fresh and bountiful portions. Best fish and chips I've ever had! Staff was very friendly also. Nice bar with a variety of craft beers and full bar selections. Great visit to both the town and hotel. Highly recommended.

The toilet had urine on the seat and bowl and the floor was dirty in the bath room. I called the receptionist and she was Johnny on the spot and the matter taken care of in less than five minutes.

My wife and I came to this location for a weekend get-away. Great inn, wonderful staff and of course the town of Dahlonega is a great place to visit. We are already planning our next trip up there, hopefully this spring.

This did not stand up to our expectations of Holiday Inns. HI is the only place we stay at.
The beds were uncomfortable and there was no ice service except on the 1st floor.
Breakfast area way to small for a hotel that was full when we were there.

There was no refrigerator available for our room, and no guest computer for us to use. We received no help from the front desk about these issues, and did not receive any Priority Club benefits.

Room was average,but management was not friendly. Our 2 rooms did not have a refrigerator which was expected and standard in lower cost motels. Breakfast bar was adequate, but had poor quality eggs and yogurt (Great Value Brand, not Yoplait or Dannon, for instance)
In the bathroom, there was a sign which read: Making your stay a complete success is our goal. Just let the manager on duty or front desk staff know if any part of your stay ian't satisfactory. We promise to make it right or you won't pay for that part of your stay.
We did make staff aware of not having a refrig and not applying a discount, but got no satisfaction. Finally got a 5% AARP discount which was not originally put in

Love the great scenic veiw of the room over looking the veiw of the mountains and the college. The furnishing in our rooms where great for us and our families, The location to down-town and to the college where very easy to locate every thing of need.

Great place to stay for the Fools Gold bicycle race. Half way between Waffle House and Montaluche Vineyards allows for the ever important 5 am high carb breakfast and still make the start of the race. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Need to change the rule of no bikes in the rooms though. Other than that it was perfect for our needs.
