Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Concert Weekend My family has stayed here for Red Wings games and MAC championships games and the crowds have never been an issue regarding check in and getting to our room. This visit, the front desk would not allow us as Platinum members to check in before 4 p.m. because they were still cleaning rooms. We find it hard to believe that at 2:45 p.m. that they did not have a single room available. We came back a few minutes after 4 and when I asked about express check-in for Platinum members, they said they were not doing it. We waited for an hour to check in (part of it was outside in the 20 degree weather.) The guests in line were openly drinking and getting drunk. March 2, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great experience - would return Great experience staying here before a hockey game at the Joe. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a very spacious suite due to being a platinum elite member. The suite was large and had a full kitchen. The breakfast area was great with some great choices. We had a small issue with cleanliness but the hotel immediately rectified it, offered a better room etc... We choose to stay in our room as it wasn't a huge deal. Great downtown hotel!! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay Great location in downtown Detroit. Valet parking was nice but only enough room for 2-3 cars at the dropoff area. We were told to leave the car on street next to drop off area. Staff is super nice and very attentive. Our room was nice but in need of a little TLC. Caulking peeled away in bathroom and spots on walls. Also room was near elevator which was loud. Breakfast had a great selection and food was good. Overall this was a great place to stay for a night or two and will return. February 26, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by parking issues Parking took forever. Upon checkout we had to walk to our vehicle after waiting 25 minutes for valet. Shuttle service to the Joe took forever to go 3 blocks. Breakfast staff was very friendly. We were only able to find one ice machine in the building that had ice. February 26, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 2 hour check in... Well worth it!!! We came for a concert, the hotel was booked back to back. We had a 4pm check in time. When we arrived at 6pm our rooms still were not ready. We had to wait in line from 6-8 pm because there were so many people checking in. The staff totally made it worth it though and everyone was sooooo nice that we were in line with!!!! February 25, 2015
