Great location! Easy walking distance to Comerica, Ford Field, Riverfront and all of downtown. Quiet hotel despite a Magic tournament in the lobby. Some issues with service, but it wa sa mixed bag between terrible and awesome service depending on the staff. Shuttle service was very easy to use. One driver was incredibly friendly and great with my kids. The other driver was an hour late twice.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Stephanie71 Brief business stay
I enjoyed this hotel as it met my needs for the short time I stayed. It had a microwave and ample refrigerator in the room along with free wi-fi which was perfect.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Profman1960 Very relaxing
I had a business meeting the next morning. I brought my 21 year old son to see the city. We both had a wonderful time being in the heart of the business district. Very safe and secure.
The staff was very friendly and efficient. I had forgot a comb and toothpaste and the staff came to my room and provided me both within 10 minutes. For my business meeting, I had door to door free shuttle service. This was fast and friendly.
My only complaint is that the breakfast bar in the morning was rather skimpy.
I definitely would make a return trip.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Joni9480 Excellent staff, great breakfast
We really enjoy the staff here. Always friendly and willing to help. We also love the free breakfast. However, the seating is very limited and many people just sit at tables on laptops, not even using them for eating purposes when visibly people are standing up tying to eat their breakfast. However, this is a free service so I can deal with it. The biggest issue at this hotel are the elevators. They are extremely slow and very small. I don't even think all four were working. Being that I was only on the fifth floor, I didn't have a problem taking the stairs down. But if I were those guests on upper floors, I would have been very irritated. We waited with luggage to go down to checkout for over ten minutes :(

It's always a wonderful experience here. Probably because the surrounding area can be a little uncertain, the staff go above and beyond to make you feel safe, welcome, and relaxed. It almost has a warm, college, hostel type atmosphere in a real, highly decent hotel.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Amyns terrible bed, super helpful hotel employees, needs a jacuzzi!
Every hotel staffer I encountered was exceptionally nice and helpful. The shuttle driers and valet staff were essential to my visit.
I was impressed with the downtown Detroit area around the hotel. I didn't get out much beyond the Cobo Center but it looked great and the people mover (elevated mini subway) looked really cool. I was impressed to see hybrid busses. The water walkway at the Cobo center was beautiful. I just wish Detroit residents were not facing unjust water shut offs.
The bed was way too hard. Mine was slanted. It was pricy for a standard room and amenities but it was in a convenient location for my needs.
I could have sworn I saw a Jacuzzi in a pic when researching this hotel, but there was only a pool, which was full of kids because of some huge family reunions.
