As a gold member, I must say I have stopped in plenty of the chains. It was a nice hotel, the bathroom was not the nicest I have seen. The same went for the halls and stairs. Other then that, it is alway a great place to stay. Staff was friendly, and helped with my needs.... what more could you ask for?

The property was very clean and the rooms were wonderful. I was very satisfied with the quality of my stay. I travel for business frequently; I was not greeted as a platinum member upon check in and the person checking in my group was not very polite when I wanted to apply my membership number to the room.

We received a bottle of water, I can only guess it was for being a priority club member, nothing was said and the bottle was smacked down on the counter so hard I thought it would break. That is the same treatment my credit card got when she gave it back to me, smacked really hard on the counter. Extremely rude front desk clerk!
My husband received the same treatment when he showed up a few minutes later with our luggage. We were berated for not remembering our car license number. We should have just left but after driving all day we were tired and just wanted to rest. I cannot comment on the hotel, the way we were treated clouded our view of this hotel.

Traveling from New York to Florida and we were very tired, trying to get as far as we could. Seeing sign for Holiday Inn Express right off I 95 was a relief. No reservations but luckily we were able to get a room.
The bed was comfortable, room clean. We had a good nights rest and continued on our way the next day. We are always confident we are going to be satisfied with our stay at the Holiday Inn.

We had a great stay! I will mention the door to our room stuck when trying to shut and the heater vent needed cleaning.(Please fix it!) The room it's self was neat and clean!

As a cost effective business travel option this Dunn location was a great value. The access to I-95 was perfect, edible food options within walking distance, room was comfortable, continental breakfast was sufficient and service acceptable. Thank you Dunn NC.

I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. As a frequent customer who has always enjoyed a clean room, comfortable bed and most of all a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Check-in was a night-mare even with advanced e-mail confirmation on room. It took (3) times for the front desk clerk to assign a room and charge my credit card to other rooms. Room was dirty with dog hair and used tissue paper between the blanket & sheets. Bathroom shower head was broken and floor was not cleaned with a smell of urine.
One of the worst.

the room furniture was tired and appeared well used. The bed uncomfortable and the linen so thin and worn should have been discarded long ago was well past used date, towels also in desperate need of replacing. Very disappointed in the overall quality of the room. Breakfast, quality of food and staff was great.
Did not at all meet the usual room standard of my recent stays at other Holiday Inn express.

The Holiday Inn Express at Dunn was nice, affordable, and provided all the comforts I needed for one night. The only problems arose when I woke up and proceeded to conclude business for my trip to Campbell University. The "business center" was an old outdated computer that could not connect to the internet. Luckily the staff provided me use of their machine so I could print the necessary paperwork. The second problem was the spoiled milk I was provided at breakfast. The milk was still within the expiration date but most not have been stored properly. The first sip was filled with chunks of congealed milk and tasted like a piece of meat that placed in a overused gym sock and left in the sun for a week. And not one but too cartons were like that. Overall for the price the place provided a decent place to lay my head down for the night.

There was hair all over the bathroom floor and on the bed covers. I am assuming it was one of the housekeeping staff? Also there were no bath towels in the room. The room was very small and I think it needs to be updated. I would not stay here again. Breakfast was fair here.

I have been staying at the Dunn hotel for several months now. It seems to have gone downhill a little over the months. On one occasion I had a door that would not securely latch of which I had to bring to the management's attention, the very same night I had a t.v. and air conditioner that would not work of which I had to bring to managements attention, when I a making a reservation, it is very hard for me to understand the people that I am talking to due to their accent. It seems the lobby is never decorated except for this last time when I did see some fall decorations,
I must say that during my last stay during the week ending October 4 when the internet service went down that your employee by the name of Princess was very professional and courteous in trying to correct the problem even when grown me were yelling and cursing her ,
Because my work brings me to Dunn quite often and I need to stay at the holiday inn! I will continue to do so for now, but I am a little disappointed about the direction the hotel is going related to my overall experience,

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was quite good. The only problem was when we checked in the young lady working the front desk had a bad attitude . .It seemed to bother her we took her away from her phone call. The hotel was hard to find from the road at night. I will stay their again.

We usually stay at Holiday Inn Express and appreciate the value. When we arrived, we were told our room would have two queens. Our reservation was made in July for a king non smoking. We were told there were none available. This was not acceptable. We told our clerk that we wanted to speak to the manager and was told she was out of town and not available. Since our reservation was made in July, we should have precedence on a more recent one. Harriet, our clerk, was totally understanding and gave us an upgrade to a suite. Then our traveling companions arrived and found out their name was not in the computer. But when the confirmation number was entered, it came up....which leaves to wonder, what if they had forgotten their number! All in all, our stay was very nice.

We arrived at this hotel after a long day of driving. Being the end of August, it had gotten well into the 90s outside - so imagine our surprise to walk into the room (from the non air conditioned hall) only to find that the room's air conditioner had been turned completely off for who knows how long. The room was so hot it took your breath away, not to mention musty. It took until almost morning for it to cool off comfortably. Not the most comfortable night's sleep. The layout of the room & the hotel itself was old and had been re-modeled at some point. The internet code changes every morning - no one at the front desk seemed to know what it was the morning we were there. They kept giving us the code from the day before, which no longer worked. When we asked for the new day's code, they said it wouldn't work. Naturally, it worked and we were able to get on the internet again from my laptop. I needed to print something at the business center in the morning. The one computer there was a similar model to the one I took to college - 11 years ago. I sat there for 15 minutes waiting for it to get started up and finally gave up when it wasn't able to log on to the internet. I was never able to print what I needed to. Overall, everything seemed not as fresh or clean as the HIEs we've stayed at in the past. Just as expensive though - this was not a value for the money and in the future we would keep driving until the next exit with a Holiday Inn. We do make it a point to be loyal to the brand, so I feel like we have a pretty good gauge of what to expect, and this one was not up to par.

I was able to check in early. Staff was always friendly. I missed breakfast only because I didn't get up in time. Room shades made it easy to sleep even when the sun came up. Comfortable beds. Only downfall was not enough hot water for a shower, but it wasn't bad enough to complain about. I will stay there again in my travels.

For the money, one has to ask if it's really worth it. On the one hand, the room we were assigned was truly smoke-free and along a smoke-free corridor (very nice!) but on the other, the overall experience was just OK. Breakfast choices were sugery; palid, and questionable--very ordinary and not appealing. There also seemed to be a lot of noise in the corridors in the evening.

This property was very disappointing. We stay at Holiday Inn/Holiday Inn Express hotels all the time and are Platimun Elite members. The hotel was old, in need of updating. The bed linens were gray, dingy and thin and the pillows smelled. The bath towels were almost threadbare. The carpet was dirty and the overall room appearance was dismal. Staff was pleasant and breakfast bar was run of the mill. Did not recognize Rewards membership. I would suggest if on the road that you either stop sooner or travel further to avoid this hotel. The price was also depressing!!

Staying at this location was a mistake for us during a recent trip from FL. to N.Y. After making our reservation, while still on the road at a late hour, and after having driven many hours, we realized that this hotel was booked to the max. Upon check in, the front desk informed us "there's a lot going on".
Sadly, our room, one of the last available, had a "dog like, musty smell". The air freshener that we requested at the front desk, could not even mask the odor. Needless to say, we were not happy.
For our future travels, we will be a little more selective when choosing our location, the size, and age of the facility.

Long drive from southern Florida and found this hotel convenient to highway, food and gas. Front desk at check in was easy and very friendly. This was the best experience at check in for all of my recent trips. The room was clean, breakfast was hot and always full of every offering. The price was a little high but evidently there were several sports tournaments in area and hotels were full.
