We had just finished a 4000 mile drive from Texas to Fairbanks, Holiday Inn was just what we needed after some of of the hotels we had to stay in throughout our journey. One thing I will say is get to breakfast early and I mean at least a half hour early cause apparently the people that run the breakfast have a different clock they use (that is straight from one of the attendants mouth) I over heard her tell some other guests. There was a hockey tournament going on so there were a lot of kids running around being very loud, but the staff were quick to tell them to keep the noise down but the kids paid no mind. So I don't blame the hotel staff just the parents. We stayed 4 nights and overall the hotel was very nice and we will stay there again on our trips back to Fairbanks which should be every 2 months for supplies.

Staff went above and beyond at every point. The fresh baked cookies at the front desk were delightful.

The hotel was what I expected for the class of hotel. However, I was put in a wheelchair accessible room. If you use a wheelchair, these rooms are very nice, if not, not so much. If you are ambulatory, avoid wheelchair rooms. There were several choices for breakfast, but the hot food was not out until nearly 6:30 am; it was advertised for 6 am. Since I had to leave for work at 6:30, it was not convenient. The small amount of hot food was good, but the selection was limited. Service is foam plates and plastic cutlery. The cinnamon rolls are first rate, though. The room is reasonable size and the bed is quite comfortable.
